If you need anything audio/video it's a good place to start. They do everything rentals, service, and even technical support.

I can't get enough of these places with the really-conspicuous 5-star review that sounds like it's…read morescripted, among 1-star reviews. Computer builders in Southern Maine are SOL if they need something sooner than mail order. Because this is the alternative. You know how cats like to steal things that are shiny or fluffy, with no regard for the actual functions of the things they mistake for toys, and then collect them in one spot? Pierre does that, but with electronics. It's a collection. That's why there's dust on everything, and also why you get a sort of glazed-over look when you describe what you're looking for. I remember looking for a motherboard with Serial ATA (SATA) slots 7-8 years ago, when the technology was over a year old. I had to replace one that had burnt out, so I needed SATA capability and a specific socket type. That's all. When I mentioned needing SATA, the guy at the counter said they don't make it anymore, since "parallel is the way technology is going." I realized that he thought I meant I needed a serial port (USB replaced serial ports over a decade ago). I tried to explain myself, but Pierre slid himself into the conversation to scoff at me for looking for old technology. As I walked off, I noticed a stack of motherboards in the corner that had never been organized - the exact one I needed - THE EXACT ONE I HAD SAID I WAS REPLACING - And there were SIX OF THEM. This is the kind of thing that more-or-less happened each time I stepped through the door. F***ing morons. Places like this exist to rip off your grandma when she goes shopping for a digital camera.

OK, yeah, this place is pretty sketchy, if you walk through the door and still buy something, well…read morethat's your prerogative! The place is a mess and full of out dated hardware, like stacks of old P3 motherboards on the floor. Everything looks like it was stolen from somewhere, broken, and then resold at Pierre's. When I was there I saw someone purchase a computer headset and the guy behind the counter took it out of its packaging before handing it to the customer in a bag without a recipt. I don't know what *that's* all about! Shop at your own risk, but at least check it out!

I had an appointment to have a camera kit installed in my car as I was moving several states away,…read moreI pulled into the mall in my moving truck, unloaded car from tailer and went in for my appointment (30 minutes early). I was told it would probably be an hour-hour 1/2 from that time, so roughly an hour at most for install. No problem, I went into the mall and shopped around. An hour and 20 minutes later (ish) I went back and he said would be another hour or so. Great, puts me behind schedule but what can I do, so I went back it not he mall for lunch and more window shopping. An hour and 15 (ish) later I went back and it wasn't done yet, said another 30 or so then done. I went into the Best Buy and cruised around for another 45 minutes or so, went back and was told - almost done. I waited and got my car, drove it to the trailer to load back up and noticed the camera was installed using the plug in for the power outlet (cig lighter) instead of hard wired in. I went back into the install bay and he had started another car, took a minute to answer my question and told me that the camera I had could only be installed that way. I thought not was weird, but took him for his word and left. Back on the road I wads thinking about it and when I got stopped for fuel a few hours later I took a look at the box and then online, the guy had lied to me. I was pretty ticked. While back on the road I called the Geek Squad - BB customer service line and spoke to someone there who confirmed, this unit can be either hard wired or plugged in. I told her the situation and how he lied to me, she put me on hold and called the store, spoke to the tech and came back to me with his apology that he had issues with he wire harness or some BS lie, that he just got it hooked up how he could. One of the features of this camera is it will detect if someone hits it while parked and record, but in the outlet it could not as it had tho power when off - PLUS I could not use the outlet for my phone charger or whatever. She offered to get me back into the same store the next day, which wouldn't work. I expressed I was already hours away and I had a time frame to be in NC, I was already late. She booked me an appointment in Charlotte for a few days later and said they might charge. I said NOPE, no charge. I Willa argue that - she took care of it to ensure it didn't happen. I also received a call back from the manager in charge of the Portland Maine install department and we went over the issue, I expressed how being lied too was bad business, let alone just what was he doing that entire time to make it so late only o have half assed the job. The manager offered me a 250.00 gift card for my time and I said, I don't know how much longer this will take, let's talk bout it after the installation is done. In Charlotte at install, they did the job right in far less time than the clown in Portland had it and also informed me that they were guessing the guy in Portland could not get the paneling off under the dash due to the damage on it from the attempted (or successful?) removal, and had shown me the gouges and scratches. I was even more ticked. I called the Portland Manger back and expressed my displeasure at this new information, he said to get an estimate of the damage and let him know. I called him several times, no call backs. For months, called multiple times, no call backs. I finally filed a dispute with the Better Business Bureau and honestly I am beyond disappointed in this location and my experience.

He let me know that the website has been updated to be more of a marketplace rather than a true representation of what's in store, which is lame. He still looked it up to see if it was in stock, though it wasn't. He was friendly and helpful, so I'm only taking off stars for the website failure.

The appliances I purchased a few months ago (a dishwasher and a fridge) are holding up fine. The showroom is large and I was greeted quickly by James. Everyone else was silent, so I wonder if they "take turns" with customers walking through the door. In any case he was really friendly and patient with me, answered questions, and did not ever try to upsell me on anything, and was honest about models in/out of stock and the delays due to the supply chain. The appliances were delivered on different days. The two guys that brought the fridge apparently had a rough day and were delayed by a few hours. When they were removing my old fridge they yanked out the water line that was going to the drink dispenser without turning the water off and water momentarily sprayed everywhere. When they finally got the fridge inside they did NOT install the water line claiming "I feel uncomfortable installing this line to this attachment, [something about the connectors under the sink being complicated]." so they literally just left it unfinished. Fortunately, Andy (who delivered and installed the dishwasher a week later), took a look and after I mentioned it to him suggested "it doesn't look that hard, I can guarantee you they just didn't want to do it." but he went above and beyond by personally coming back a couple days later with the appropriate parts and hooked everything up for me in minutes. I'd love to give him five stars just for his effort alone. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with the appliances. Based on the lax fridge guys and based on other reviews it seems like a headache. I have no other appliance stores to compare this experience to, but I imagine it is average.

I was completely misrepresented by Agren's sales person. I was never informed that the two washers were cold water only. Even though the panel indicates a hot water setting and had a hot water valve on the back of the machine. They basically told me tough shit. I'm now stuck with two washers I loathe. If you ask me this way of doing business is criminal. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM AGREN's. They are no better than a big box store.
