They have been working…read moreon my panel upgrade for 3 months, and every time I call, they act like it's the first they're hearing of the issues. Not only was the water bond attached to my house in the most horrible way, the new panel was not only wired wrong, they had it labeled wrong as well. I had so many problems from start to finish. All of the issues we ran into could have been solved, had they just talked to me. The manager Andres seemed more interested in making excuses and blaming the people who work for him, saying they were incompetent. He also promised to come and make sure everything was done correctly and didn't show up. His own master electrician said, "Yeah, he always says that he will come and never shows up..." The billing is also confusing and inconsistent. I was charged extra with no clear explanation, and when I asked for clarification, they just say they will have to call me back, or someone else will have to look at it. Andres, told me I would have to pay 50 percent up front, so I did that. The invoice they sent my email did not reflect that. I called and asked about it and they didn't have an answer. Then they attempted to charge me 170 a piece for smoke detectors that cost 169.99 for 5. For the amount I'm paying, the service should be far more reliable. I also had to listen to Andres tell me about how he terminated the people who worked for him. At this point, I am not interested in his business infrastructure. I just want my electrical panel to work and to never have to deal with this company again. Andres was also incredibly rude to the inspector who came to check everything. Not only did he fail the inspection, the inspector stood up for us and told Andres to make the issues right. Andres was incredibly unprofessional and I am told this is not the first time. Others who have worked with him say the same thing. I thought I was getting a great deal. When he came for the estimate Andres seemed very honest and kind. He did what he called a temporary fix in my panel...Only later to find out that the fix Andres did was illegal and dangerous. He also pulled my outlet out in my kitchen and left it out and said "Just don't get it wet.." Another company told me how awful this company is, how unhappy customers are and that they often have to go and fix their mess. I defended Mister Sparky and told the guy trash trying to warn me that I trusted this company. I wish I believed the other guy. Everything he said was true. I wish I paid the extra 3k that other company was charging. You truly get what you pay for. Almost 6k and 3 months later and this was absolutely the worst experience I have had with any company. If you have another option in your area, I highly recommend going with them instead. Mister Sparky needs serious improvement in reliability, transparency, and customer care.

    I called All star electric for a potential warranty issue on an outlet. I had an outdoor camera…read morethat was not working. I received a text at 12:40 that Peter was on his way to my house. I have this time stamped on my phone. He arrived about 10 minutes later. After he arrived he started looking at the issue and stated he did not know why my camera wasn't working and wasn't sure about what was causing the problem. Turns out it wasn't the outlet. I popped out the battery on my camera and reinstalled it and it started working again. So I fixed the issue. He then started to talk about other things and he was standing at the door writing up my invoice. I looked at the clock and it was 12:30. It took him a few minutes to write the invoice up, which is funny because there are only a few sentences on the invoice. He billed me $210 for quantity of 1. I assume that means one hour. That is a lot for one hour, especially since he didn't fix anything. There is also a charge of $39 for a trip fee and a $14 admin fee. None of these charges were discussed with me ahead of time. He ended up charging me $263 for less than an hours work and he did not even fix the issue. I fixed it. I was also going to get an estimate of doing work at another place I own. We drove there and I asked Peter if he wanted to do the estimate or do a small repair first. He said he would do the repair first since he already started the clock on that job. He was not even out of the car yet and he is billing me. This annoyed me because he already over billed me at the first house. I told him to forget it and I would not have him do the repair or give me an estimate since he already over billed me on the first issue. We were walking away and in front of my tenant Peter proceeds to ask me about the value of my house and asked about the neighborhood. I was shocked he even knew the value of my house and I am not sure why that was relevant unless he was using it for his pricing and how much he would charge me. I certainly didn't appreciate him discussing the value of my house in front of my tenants. This was extremely inappropriate and irrelevant and I was surprised about the conversation. The entire interaction felt unprofessional and I don't feel like I got my moneys worth. I will never use this company again.
