Then after I told them to stop because my son was CLEARLY in EXCRUCIATING PAIN they pretty much chunk the paper in our face and say "here go somewhere else."

We called two ERs beforehand--this one was immediately kind, reassuring, and let us know there was no one else in the waiting room at the time. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken back in under 10 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind, and within another 10 minutes, the nurse practitioner had already treated my son. X-rays were done quickly (impressive with a wiggly toddler), and results came back in about 30 minutes. By then, my son had fallen asleep, and the staff went out of their way to be quiet and accommodating--whispering, dimming the lights, and even letting us stay in the room so he could rest. When we were ready to leave, checkout was quick and friendly. Within two hours, my son was back to normal and running around. He was even able to be a ring bearer that evening with no issues! Hopefully you never need an ER, but if you do--especially with a child--I highly recommend this one.

As well as feeling gaslit over certain symptoms, and possible treatments by 2 different doctors during my time as a patient there. TLDR - Helped me recover from a torn ACL…read more- Exceptional team - Honest and transparent billing with the insurance - Good COVID friendly policies - I highly recommend I had a torn ACL in August of 2020. Dr. Edeen recommended I come here for rehab. It was a great experience from start to end. I was paired with Jacob, and from day 1 we had a rehab plan setup pre-surgery and post-surgery. Pre-surgery, I recall coming in a few times to help get my quad strength up before surgery, and then the real work began after surgery. The first session after surgery I came in with a walker going backwards because any pressure put on my leg caused me excruciating pain. It was really one of the most painful periods in my life. We pushed forward, and I came in 3 days a week for several months. Jacob did an exceptional job helping me ease into each workout and provided the guidance I needed to have the correct form for each exercise. Each week as my leg was able to bend more we increased the intensity and amount of workouts I did. By the end of the year, I had come all the way from walking out backwards with a walker to walking out the door almost as if I had a normal leg. Everyone worked together. Even though Jacob was my physical therapist, other physical therapists would sometimes provide helpful advice. I also saw Andy, the owner, even working on the floor and checking in with patients. On the insurance side, I used Aetna. I really respect the collaboration and transparency the office staff communicated with me on whether or not visits were covered. I had met my annual out of pocket deductible so throughout my experience, my visits were completely covered. There were a few bills that came in the mail, but it was due to processing errors and Bridgette did a great job explaining to me the error, and the staff made sure I was not charged. When I met the max amount of times the insurance would cover my visits, Phil let me know and this helped prevent any unexpected bills from coming in. Aetna can be hard to deal with, but the provider and the patient, in this case, worked together! Throughout the pandemic, I really appreciated the mask policy. Everyone in the building wore a mask. When I'd check-in, I'd always have my temperature checked. I'd recommend Fredericksburg SM&PT, TX. The team and leadership helped me get back to a normal life. I'm confident they can do that for anyone who needs to go through physical therapy.

Since the pandemic ended, doctor's offices have learned to economize so booking your appointment is pretty much written in stone. Any changes and the customer will suffer delays. That's why I changed my dentist to Fredericksburg Dentistry. They are very accommodating and still old school when it comes to dentistry, cleaning teeth or periodontal maintenance. The place is very clean, all their front office people are friendly and of course, the hygienist and dentists in the back office are busy treating their patients. I have had the same hygienist for all my previous visits, and we are becoming more acquainted with each other. She has the softest touch! It's quite a drive for me to get there from my hill country home but it's worth it. What normally would have been a 25-minute trip became 45 minutes because of road construction and maintenance. No matter, just being able to drive to Fredericksburg is a joy by itself!

I was introduced to West Kerr Dental and Dr. Mitchell when I needed immediate help with a crown…read morethat had come loose. I was able to get an emergency appointment and the fix, now almost 3 years old, is holding great. But I have had lots and lots of experience with unethical and downright bad dentists over my 74 years, and am very skeptical in a dentist's chair. Dr. Mitchell told me she could see decay at the gumline in the adjacent tooth and I was skeptical, since I didn't know her. I didn't go back; I had a dentist in Mexico that I really liked, but that location wasn't practical anymore. I shopped around and tried a couple others; one wouldn't bill insurance, another was hard to get appointments with even for cleanings. I was told again by a different dentist that there was a cavity (the same one identified 2 yrs earlier by Dr. Mitchell). I finally made the trip back to Mexico, since I knew and trusted Dr. Garcia. Dr. Garcia identified the same cavity, now very large. She realized when she was attempting to clean out the decay that it was so deep that the fill would be incomplete, she asked if I wanted to go ahead for what would ultimately be a temporary fix, or extract. Had I listened to Dr. Mitchell initially and acted within the year, I would not have lost that tooth to massive decay. I love Dr. Garcia, but I made the decision to establish a local dental relationship and chose Dr. Mitchell and I now have great confidence in her and her staff. And West Kerr Dental does bill insurance. I have had a cleaning there (excellent and gentle) and a small filling done. I also initiated a discussion on Invisalign with the doctor because my bite is misaligned (from earlier bad dental work in California) and Dr. Mitchell is confident she can fix it without two years of braces. If you are looking for a dentist with integrity and skill, Dr. Mitchell is a great choice. The bonus is how nice and personable she and the entire staff are and how accommodating to get your insurance billed, your appointments made, time with the right person to discuss your needs and questions. It is a very pleasant and caring atmosphere; I highly recommend them.
