Contracted with Canyon Springs to level out and slope our yard away from the house last September…read more I was told they would bring in loam to reach railroad ties as the back of the property. The loan ended about 10 feet short of the railroad ties and the there are still low spots that fill with water. Half the lawn the grass grew and half didn't. I emailed a follow up with a picture and was told "Let's see how it drains." Followed that up with another email which I never received a response to. I will now have to spend additional money to fill the low spots they didn't and reseed half the lawn. Would not recommend this company.

March 2024 update: The cable stabilizing the remaining two leaders on our basswood tree (ref'd…read moreabove) let go when one of the two anchoring screw-eyes came out of the leader, so I called Pinnacle back to inspect and offer a recommendation. Greg came, saw the problem, and explained that the technology has evolved somewhat since the original work was done four years ago: Now, instead of a cable, the best arborist practice is a reinforced band that goes around the leader on each end with a shock absorber in the middle of the span. That sounded good to me so we scheduled the work, and today Pinnacle's crew came to install the band. From the look of it, I'd say it is a clearly superior solution to this problem, and the cost was again reasonable. Pinnacle remains my recommended first call for any substantial tree work in central Maine.

I had a fantastic experience working with Colin Jones and In The Pines Tree Care. From start to…read morefinish, the entire process was seamless and stress-free. After I submitted a request for a quote through their webform, Colin was incredibly responsive. He showed great flexibility in working through the project scope with me, and once we agreed on the plan, he was able to get the work scheduled remarkably fast. What really impressed me, though, was how he handled the job itself. The work involved removing several trees along a shared property line, and it had to be done while I was out of town--a scenario that could easily become a high-stress headache. Colin handled it with absolute professionalism, communicating directly and effectively with my neighbor while I was away. I returned home to find the job done perfectly, with the only evidence those trees had ever been there being the stumps left behind. Spotless cleanup, excellent communication, and top-notch work. I can't recommend Colin and In The Pines Tree Care enough!
