I can't express how much I enjoyed working out of this location. First, the staff was amazing. The receptionist was always incredibly friendly and helpful, and could answer any questions I had about the office. Kim, the owner, made sure that I had all of the accommodations I needed, and make sure that all of my needs were taken care of quickly. As for the office itself, it was well-furnished, and was a welcoming environment. Even with it being temporary, I felt right at home. It was very quiet, so I could get all of my work done without any distractions. There was a great conference room in the event I needed to hold a larger meeting. Having a kitchen in the office helped out immensely, because I didn't have to worry about eating out every day. That being said, being right above Birkdale Village was great if I wanted to step out for lunch, or if I needed to set up a lunch meeting with a client or coworkers. . If you are looking for a place, even if it's just temporary like my situation was, Birkdale Office is your best bet. I didn't expect it to be so hard to find such a place on the weekend. I called multiple co-working spaces which were either closed on the weekends or in one case charged a ridiculous amount. The last coworkers space I called couldn't do it but recommended Hygge. They met me the day before to make sure the space would work and then remotely let me in! My rating starts all the way from the beginning when I found the Hygge website easy to navigate and was excited to see they offered day passes and weren't just membership based. I purchased a day pass for myself and my coworker (more on that later) and had instant email communication from the community manager, Bryan Archilla. He was able to help me transfer the pass to my coworker's email since the door key is activated by your phone and needs to be activated by two phones. Bryan's communication was prompt and he even greeted me upon arrival and gave me a tour. I used the regular unassigned desk area and found the vibe to be perfect. A nice mix of quiet and conversational. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and found the entire area (bathrooms, work space, kitchen) clean and comfortable. I will definitely be back! The parking was fine but maybe needed some clarity as there was a restaurant and post office adjacent to the lot. It's a gravel lot basically with no clear signage. Not a big issue but FYI. There's a handful of places to visit within walking distance for eating and shopping. Very small town feel. Inside the office, the receptionist welcomed me and was new but friendly and professional. She helped me get set up on the app (still a work in progress) and gave me a quick tour. The big main spaces were already reserved but the phone booth space was adequate to my needs. The internet speed was decent but there was no ethernet cable for direct connection. The common kitchen area was clean and beverages were available as well as small snacks. Terry, the director for the space, was very helpful in troubleshooting issues with billing and reservations. Pricing was also reasonable for a one-day pass. Military veteran pricing is available. If I came to the city more often, I'd get a subscription because it's very close and isn't overcrowded like some co-working spaces.
