Princess (Nanny in the City) came highly recommended from a trusted friend. It was a match from the beginning-- she has really clear, professional materials that lay out what she offers in different packages and helped us figure out what we needed. Ultimately we booked 2 nights a week for about 6 weeks. She met us beforehand so we could talk about what we were needing and met my other child to include him in the process, which was lovely. It was such a relief coming home from the hospital with a new baby and knowing that we were going to have support a couple times a week. That first night when postpartum hormones were raging and I was still banged up from birth (IYKYK), Princess was so reassuring, not just in her care for the baby, but also in her care for me. When she brought me the baby, she made sure I had water, snacks, my glasses/phone or anything else I needed. Her manner was so calm and competent that I felt absolutely secure handing her my baby in the night. My husband was also able to get good sleep so he could take even better care of us the next day. The benefits were definitely multifaceted. Even as a second time mom there were so many things she taught me about my baby-- it was incredibly validating when she noticed things and offered support/ideas. We also used some of Nanny in the City's other services which I also recommend! Princess coached us on how to locate a part time nanny and helped us review our candidate via an interview, references, and completed a background check for us. Princess is the perfect blend of professional warmth. We highly recommend her!

Princess is supportive, professional, reliable, and exceedingly warm and understanding. I was hesitant with trusting someone to take care of our first newborn baby, but immediately felt comfortable with her in our home. We were unfamiliar with the process of interviewing, selecting, and hiring and needed guidance throughout. Rachel is a true professional with an undeniable talent for finding the perfect match between nannies and families. She is personable and knowledgeable and treated us as if we were a member of her own family. Rachel was a nanny herself for many years and she knows the ins and outs of the industry better than anyone we've ever met. She was able to give advice on candidates, negotiations, payroll services, and answer many, many other questions that we had as new parents. The process of finding a good nanny can be daunting and Rachel was absolutely invaluable. We are so happy with the nanny that Rachel matched us with and we never would have found her if not for Nashville Nanny Agency. I would give Nashville Nanny Agency my highest recommendation and I would never go anywhere else!

She interviews and places all the nannies with families herself and has a knack of finding just the right nanny to fit with your family. Everything is so professional and yet you feel they treat your family as if it were their own. If you are looking for the very best nanny for your child, this is the agency to use!

Elite Nannies of Nashville

Elite Nannies of Nashville

We contracted with Elite Nannies in February 2020. They failed to find us a nanny during the 4…read moreweeks they were contracted to do so, as well as then refused to refund us the money their own contract states we are entitled to and that we as the client are owed. When confronted about this, they responded with false accusations and the "talk to our attorney" response. None of the candidates fit the criteria set forth between us and the agency. All but 1 were from outside of Nashville, at least 45 min to 1 hour away on a good day. They assured us they would only find a nanny within 15-20 min of our home. When questioned about this, they told us the candidates interviewed were from those in their network applying through their website on their job board. To us, this means we paid them $1,500 to post our job opening on their website and then they would setup an interview regardless if the candidate who applied matched the criteria that was agreed on or not. One of the main reasons we chose Elite Nannies of Nashville, was that they market themselves as having all of their Nannies trained in a curriculum equivalent to that of a "Private Preschool Experience". All but 1 of the nannies we interviewed had EVER EVEN HEARD of this curriculum, and the one who had, described it as "a binder they give us with things to do with the children". This was troubling as the curriculum was a big draw for us and not exactly what I would compare to a private school education by any means. We made an offer to a temp babysitter they set us up with (not a nanny candidate) because the candidates were nowhere near our ideal fit and the babysitter had been with us a couple weeks, whom we liked. We told the agency that we wanted to hire the temp, and the terms we agreed on for the offer. They then spoke with the temp, came back to us and tried negotiating more pay on her behalf, even though the rate agreed on was what the temp asked for. We found this to be completely unacceptable as we pay the agency to work for us and the nanny pays nothing to be part of the agency nor are they employed by the agency. We pulled the offer and went through more failed interviews with candidates that did not fit any of the criteria we were looking for. We then considered another offer to the temp babysitter because she fit in well with our family and our 3 year old adored her. She was currently being paid cash as a temp, as that was the arrangement setup by Elite Nannies. The temp mentioned she wanted to keep that arrangement moving forward as that is what she was used to with other families. We asked Elite Nannies if legally we had to withdraw taxes from the nanny's pay or was only their recommendation. They responded "it is my recommendation". Unaware of the laws of their own industry, we immediately consulted our accountant who gave us the proper guidance & paperwork to give to the babysitter to sign to have taxes withdrawn. The babysitter did not accept the offer, again meaning nobody referred to us from the agency was ever hired. When we contacted Elite Nannies about their contract stating we have the right to a refund in the event the position is not filled, they responded with giving us their lawyers number. Elite Nannies then claimed they severed ties with us due to "illegal activity", and accused us of "illegally hiring a Nanny". This was very insulting and confusing. A nanny was never hired, nor was there any wrongdoing in our attempts to hire a nanny. Their accusations are completely unfounded and lack merit. I would strongly err on the side of caution when considering "Elite" Nannies of Nashville, and find a better more trustworthy agency who holds true to their obligations. It brings me no joy to write this, but we have tried to settle this privately and amicably but to no avail, as they refuse to take responsibility for their lack of fulfilling their contractual obligations in multiple instances, and are quick to lawyer up when called on it.
