There's a lot of negligence of patient care. Despite that they have camera cameras in the rooms in the rooms still how is it possible they're not monitor the safety of the patients. I have told them numerous times to avoid a specific psychiatric drug due to negative reactions and they still administered it. Also, they're really negligence about specific medication for patients with blood clots. They've not given the medication for it. So be on very vigilant of that where your patient will get an infection. They don't check their patients hygiene and hydration especially patients who's medications causes them severe dry mouth. They do not take heed on psychiatric drugs that causes unwanted reactions to the patients. The place is not great for patients in need of memory care. They should not be accepting Alzheimer's or Dementia patients who need to be monitored constantly. They're ripping off the insurance without providing any outcome that's satisfactory for family members and patient. The nurse station don't seem polite says the relatives when requesting to speak with the patient we kept calling and requesting and at times the calls would cut off various times and we call again and again. read more

I was inpatient at Haven in Phoenix, AZ in 2024. The hospital was horrible!! The nurses gave me the wrong medication and thankfully I caught the error or otherwise I might have been hospitalized elsewhere. I am a professional who has a speech problem, I stutter. The psychiatrist and social worker had no understanding of stuttering. They thought I had cognition issues. What stupidity!!! One nurse was incredibly unprofessional and yelled my diagnosis down the hallway of the hospital. It was the most horrifying experience of my life. They keep you at the hospital longer if you have good medical insurance, which I did. I did not recover my mental health from that hospital-only got PTSD from the experience. read more

I was in there for a little past two weeks and they said I was stable but I still have suicidal thoughts and flashbacks. The nurses and techs were very nice and understanding. I personal felt the doctor and the social worker did not listen to me about how I felt. I feel like I was pushed out and didn't care that I was still dealing with suicidal thoughts. Since I have been home I have had two severe panic attacks and I landed in the hospital for the first one plus i got sick when I was in there and did not give me a prescription before I left and I had to go to urgent care to get medication. They signed me up for a php program and the program never called and I have been calling them for the three days and no one responded to my messages. read more

If you care about your loved ones, DON'T ever place them here. The staff aides belittle and demean the patients constantly. -The psychiatrist meets with the patients (in public) for a few minutes a day. - The food is horrible. The aides don't care if the patients eat or not. A lot of food is thrown in the trash. We had to beg for a 2nd cup of coffee. We were always turned down. - For a 3 week stay, Haven charged Medicare and my insurance company $52,000. And we weren't even allowed a 2nd cup of coffee. -The aides scream at the patients in the eating room; sit down, hurry up and eat, clean your table and get out. -The "F" word is constantly being used by the aides. They have no problem arguing with each other loudly and using the F word. - This place is so bad, they ran out of toilet paper twice. We had to use paper hand towels to wipe. Yes, it did make the toilet in our room overflow. How does a hospital run out of toilet paper?? - The place is not clean. -Many patients said they were leaving the hospital worse than when they entered. They actually were afraid to tell the truth on their exit interview so they gave positive reviews. They thought if they told the truth, they'd be punished by having their stay extended. - We had to ask the staff for drinking water. It is held at the nurses station. The staff made you wait for the water. It's a control thing with them. I waited 11 mins. b/c the aide was texting on her cell phone. This happens often... the cell phone abuse is ongoing. What company allows employees to be on their phones while working? - The patients are not permitted outside, not even in an enclosed patio for fresh air. Fresh air is vital for mental health. Even prisoners get an hour a day in the yard. Some patients are there for weeks, months without fresh air. -When I entered the hospital I was strip searched and my clothes were taken. While in a gown only, the nurse took an inventory of my possessions which had been placed in a container. She asked if I wanted anything from my handbag. So I took my gum, Chapstick and a bottle of about 90 heart pills. I wanted to self- medicate if they didn't give me my meds that day. I was right, I didn't get my heart meds. So I took my own. -The treatment in Haven got so bad, I overdosed on my own bottle of pills on 5/8/24. I guess God didn't want me b/c the meds had expired and just made me sick. I spent the day at the local hospital. The staff at Roxborough was wonderful. They treated patients with respect and kindness. - Back at Haven, I asked to speak to the patient advocate. No improvements were ever made. - The director spoke to me after the OD incident. Nothing changed. No one there cares. - What a joke, several "suits" from the state did an inspection. I know of 3 patients who asked the suits if they could speak to them but the suits said no. What does that say? PLEASE stay away from this horrible place. My husband is a patient there. When I call the nurses's station the phone may ring up to 20 times and no one answers. I have not been able to talk with any of his providers. When trying to contact the Social Services I have to leave a message that they will return the call the next day. I am recommending to the Chester County Hospital that they do not refer patients that that facility. A minor problem - it is on route ! and it is very noisy at night making sleep difficult for my husband. read more

I was a recent patient at Haven Behavioral Health in Philly The doctors, nurses, psych techs We're really bad you won't believe it. The doctors Change your meds without telling you first. The doctors only spent one minute with you and I had to track mine down early in the morning to speak to him. They are just medicine men. I can't begin to tell you how horrible the psych techs were. They yell at you and do not Have any compassion for the patients. I have never had that experience in a hospital before. Two of psych techs were Abusive to me. The social workers and the activities Department were very good. We had a lot of handouts during the social worker groups which were helpful. The activities Department was very caring and we had alot of fun things to do, ie Jeopardy, Price is Right, Bingo, art and music therapy. The food was pretty decent. My main complaints are with the medical Department. They never told you who the charge nurse or who your regular nurses were for each shift. They just basically passed out meds And even listened to our phone Conversations. Everybody was understaffed, underpaid and Burnt out. They definitely need more staff. They were on their cell phones a lot too. I would recommend everybody to go. to Belmont Center. It is a brand new building now And they have a great geriatric Department. L read more

I called Haven looking for and adult ADHD assessment, as they have their website fully dedicated to adult ADHD. I was informed that they no longer do these and when I suggested they update their site, I was met with ten seconds of silence. There was no apology and no suggestion for who else to call. Anyone who knows anything about ADHD knows how hard it would have been to even make this call, let alone do the research that led to it. This is extremely irresponsible for a *behavioral* hospital. read more

If there were a negative rating, I would give it to this hospital as it nearly killed my mother. After a delusional episode, caused by a bad reaction to Wellbutrin. My diabetic 74 year old mother checked herself into Haven on a 201. She entered on 1/18. Once admitted, she reached out multiple times a day by phone as Haven still has absolutely no visitation due to Covid. On 1/21 all calls from my mother stopped. After 2 days of repeated calls to her and being told by nurses that she was either resting, in group, or eating and could not come to the phone, I used my designation as her POA force the issue. On 1/23 at 6:34pm I was able to speak with her for the first time since she had stopped contact. I was met with her in sobbing, heavily slurred, and completely incoherent asking to leave their facility. The next morning I reached out to her case worker, Cheryl, with a written request for her prescribed medications and treatment plan. Cheryl reached back out to let me know everything was fine. Mom was doing well and enjoyed her group therapy sessions. She was being given all of her usual medication in addition to being given "anti-psychotics" to help with the delusions. At this time I informed Cheryl I was slightly uncomfortable with this as my Mom had verbally declined and was asking to leave; If there was any way I could see her, that would help reassure me everything was ok. Cheryl said she would speak to Dr Seara about it. Possibly early next week they could make an exception. She then let me know that on Monday 1/30 my Mom would be getting an assessment of some sort from Dr. Seara. Over the course of the week, my mothers condition sounded to be declining further every time I was able to speak with her. On 1/30 I received a request from Cheryl to give a verbal ok for my Mom's info to be shared with a city social worker in relation to Dr. Sears's assessment. I agreed and again asked about setting up a visitation stressing the fact that I was not comfortable with how Haven was refusing to let me physically see someone whose condition I was legally responsible for. I received no response from Cheryl. I was contacted by the Philadelphia Corporation of Aging that same afternoon around 4pm. I was told that once discharged from Haven, my mom would need to be placed in an in-patient rehab as she was now having difficulty walking and was retaining a large amount of fluid in her legs. I was also finall provided a list of the medications my mom was now on which included the Wellbutrin which had caused the initial delusions and the newly added Haloperidol which is known to increase the effects of Wellbutrin and causes difficulty walking. After no response from Cheryl on 1/31 about a visit of some sort, I reached out again on 2/1 to no answer. It was at this point I decided to inform Cheryl by voicemail, tracked e-mail, and fax that my Mom had signed into their facility on a 201 which gives her the right to leave any time she chooses. I also signed a release as her POA, being sure to mention all applicable state laws and patient rights. Following up with the fact that my next step would be to forcibly enter their facility with a lawyer and the police to remove my mom and have them inspected. Haven had a new case worker reach out to me on 2/2. Cheryl was going to be on vacation for the next week and she would be filling in. The new caseworker assured me everything is fine and they would probably be aiming for a discharge next week sometime. I informed her that the discharge request was made on 2/1, by PA law they had 72 hours. The next call was from Dr Seara. After a short discussion about how I should take his word about my moms condition because HE is the treating physician and my stance about how I did not, Dr Seara discharged my mom on 2/3 at 11am AMA. Upon her being discharged in a heavily sedated state which the nurse couldn't explain, I brought her directly from discharge to an ER. She was admitted in near kidney failure with a BP of 88/39 sugars at 462, E. Coli, a UTI and encephalitis from the excess fluid. F Miguel Seara. read more

They are so bad. They didn't care about me at all. The rooms were moldy and humid. The larger spaced areas were always the only clean locations. Please do not let your loved ones stay here. The staff will not care for anyone. It's not even a real hospital. It's more like a run down nursing home which does not even offer any nursing. The doctors do not even know what to prescribe. I was a patient there several years ago for anxiety and depression. Once they finally released me, I have been in therapy ever since for PTSD from the effects this horrible experience left me with. Dr Miguel Seara was the psychiatrist in charge of my care. He would come into my room first thing in the morning and spend less than a MINUTE with me demanding to know if I was still tearful from the day before. Prior to being sent there on a voluntary admission, I was advised to sign papers requesting a 72-hour hold. Dr. Seara ordered me to rescind my 72-hour hold request and actually THREATENED to have me held there involuntarily for as long as he wanted if I refused. The social worker assigned to my case had a very cold, uncaring demeanor and the aides treated us like a herd of cattle, constantly yelling at us to "hurry up and get in line". They actually threw our styrofoam food containers at us during meal times. There was a day when one of these aides screamed at a patient across the room from me that "if you don't hurry up, I'm going to beat the shit out of you". The ONLY compassionate care I received while at this nightmare of a facility was from the medical physician who made rounds daily as well as the patient advocate, who I finally requested to see after several days of emotional abuse at the hands of the staff. Do not ever send a loved one to this facility!!! read more

My father with Dementia was sent to Haven Behavorial Hospital from a memory care facility in Troy, OH called Story Point. He had only been at Story Point for just over two weeks when they insisted he go to Haven to get his sleep regulated as well as his agitation and falling issue with his Dementia. StoryPoint forced us to send him to Haven....At Haven you can only see your relative one hour a day and it has an under staffing issue and my Dad deteriorated very quickly in just 7 days...The social worker at Haven contacted us saying we needed to find my Dad a better memory care facility capable of caring for him as both the doctor and social worker at Haven felt Story Point wasn't properly able to provide the needed care... I will give them a positive for recognizing the fact that the memory care facility in Troy Ohio was not capable of caring for my dad and recommending we look elsewhere...By the end of 7 days Haven had so many new medications in my Dad and he had bruises on his hands and was really deteriorated...Haven transported him to the new memory care facility we found... The transport took place during cold weather and the transport staff from Haven brought my poor Dad with just a adult depends diaper on him and no clothing at all other than a sheet over top of him. I would never recommend you allow an elderly parent to be sent to this hospital . We could not always get information on what types of new medication he was being given, but by the time he got to the new memory care facility they said he had over 6 new drugs.. my Dad died less than 2 weeks later...Do not go to Haven Behavioral and please do not allow a memory care facility like Story Point to force you into this facility. read more

If there was a minus rating, this dump would get it. I had experienced months of little sleep and a lot of depression and I allowed myself to be admitted here and as other reviewers would say it was a HORRIBLE MISTAKE. A 72 hour hold that seemed like ten years. All the other "inmates" save one that I roomed with were people in the worst throes of mental illness. I am in no way finding fault with these poor souls but I was frightened to death. Other than to eat I did not come out of my room until, finally they turned me loose. The staff members are no more than prison guards and their only concern is to keep the inmates in check and to run out when their shifts are over. Just to try and talk with one brings no results about medications or anything else, pushing papers from one to another and likely to not even acknowledge your presence. I was desperate to help my mother with her geriatric depression, and thought The Haven would be a good place to receive specialized and comprehensive treatment. It was a BIG MISTAKE. The psychiatric staff were not even in the facility most of the time. No Doctors were there on weekends except on call. This facility treats very serious mental illness right alongside more mild cases. Visitors are shielded from what really goes on. It is a lockdown facility because the patients are dangerous and very loud. There was no separation of space between her and the other patients, some of whom were loudly screaming, moaning, or shrieking when I called. This was very traumatic to her. The facility seemed very understaffed, disorganized, and her treatment was in no way specialized. All they did was give her more antidepressants and group therapy. Though the Doctor and social worker seemed professional, the facility and treatment were just terrible. My Mom left after one week, saying she had a horrible experience. They didn't offer any real aftercare or social services after she left either. STAY AWAY. This place is not the answer you are looking for. read more

My father was treated by Dr. Miguel Seara, whose care and knowledge made a world of difference for him. My father has Lewy Body Dementia and had been previously treated with medications that exacerbated his condition and contributed to his aggression and agitation. Dr. Seara is not only well-informed about the disease and its appropriate treatment regimens, but he is also a compassionate and caring practitioner. He took the time to explain my father's disease to the family, explaining why his previous medications were doing more harm than good; he explained what would and would not be possible for my father going forward and laid out his treatment plan in order to get our agreement. We've worked with other facilities who treated the family as if we had no right to know about or question their treatment plans, so this was a breath of fresh air. Most importantly, Dr. Seara stressed repeatedly the goal of improving my father's quality of life while living with this horrible disease, and treating my father with respect and dignity. Dr. Seara got my father stabilized on his new medication and stated that he will send a care plan, including behavioral care instructions for his caregivers, to the nursing home to which my father will return. I cannot emphasize strongly enough what Dr. Seara's treatment for my father has meant to us. A physician who listens, explains, is patient and caring is, sadly, hard to find in facilities such as these. Dr. Seara is all of those things. My father's condition will not improve, but we're hopeful that his life living with it will, thanks to Dr. Seara. On behalf of my family, thank you!! read more

Stay away from this place! Staff is arrogant, unresponsive, and patently incapable of follow-up, from the most mundane details to those that are critically important. Try getting a phone call returned...it is impossible. I conveyed to his treating psychiatrist that an important part of my family member's admission file was missing, and not only did they not make a single attempt at getting it, but actually refused to return calls that would have expedited it! As one of the few, (if not only) psychiatric hospitals in the area focused on care and treatment of the geriatric population, you'd think their bed capacity would be maxed-out. Not so... and for good reason. Evidently, the change-up of medical administration, the attempts at refreshing the rooms, and overall "push" to correct a seriously flawed facility have been only cosmetic...and are, as a result... an unequivocal failure. read more

Rude DON! So I applied there knowing the ratings were horrific! I applied for nurse supervisor. The DON who interviewed me stated she was a returning from Florida to fill the position again. I went in for an interview and she had me wait outside her door for 15 minutes (first problem). Once she called me into the room she gave me no smiles and asked me to sit down. I stated I use to work in this building 25 years ago when it was MCP hospital and she replies I do not know what that is! (problem two) I then started to talk about the position cause she did not have the proper interview skills! (problem 3) This interview was a waste, she was so rude and unapproachable. I tried to ask more about the position and she gave me nothing. I asked her when will I know something either way? Ill let you know by Friday which is in a few days. Crickets....... I emailed her a few times and her reply was HR has paperwork. It has been a month I haven't heard anything. I'm so glad though. I do not want to work for her nor this disorganized company! Haven behavioral health in Northeast Philly is not a good place to be if you need help the place is horrible the staff yells at the clients treat them horribly. Was there trying to speak to the doctor about my wife he said bi don't want to talk to you only her I guess they don't take the family's input, which is very unprofessional they have communal showers she was there for 3 days and in those 3 days she had no running water in her bathroom this place need a visit from the health department. read more

I am writing this review as a cautionary warning for any person who may have a loved one in need of psychiatric care. evaluation and treatment. My mother was in need of this type of care and as it was a sudden need I was unable to due any true investigation of this facility ... she entered the facility on a Tuesday later in the day. I contacted the facility immediately to speak with the doctor to identify what the plan was for her stay....I also visited in the late afternoon. No one was available to speak to me aside from one of the RN's who provided me with as much information as possible. I called the second day two times (had left notes on her chart for doctor to call me). .. even though i visited again the second night there was no physician available to speak to me... third day I waited until 2pm hoping for some type of communication... finally I called again and stated that if I was not contacted by her physician within 20 minutes I would call the administrator as I felt this bordered on malpractice. This patient was unable to speak for herself and communicate and not one person had called me (her daughter as well as her power of attorney ). I did receive a call from her doctor within 10 minutes. A brief discussion ensued and I asked for a list of meds; what the plan was for administering them as she was unwilling to take them and what the discharge plan was. This was essentially the communication I had with the doctor. On her discharge day I chased her down to identify what the final plan was. .. I felt this was very poor communication and care. My complaints did not end there ...for brevity I will try to condense them: 1. Inconsistant rules i.e. you are told to leave all of your personal possessions as well as your phone etc locked in your car... but when you arrive at the floor you can only be admitted with identification 2. My mother was evaluated by the physical therapist who ambulated with her and my sister the length of the hallway with a rolling walker. When I visited the following day I requested that I be allowed to practice standing and ambulating with her (requesting loan of walker to do this ) I was told that was against the rules as she was a fall risk and there was no documentation that this had been done. (I happen to be a therapist ... telling them this made no difference!!) I did do this anyway to provide her with some weight bearing and mobility .. she had been kept seated in the chair for the entire day. 3. I visited daily and on two occasions went into the community room to visit.. on the Sunday I visited I asked where she was ...told the community room I said i would peek in to avoid disturbing any particular activity. The young aid quickly stated you are not allowed to look in there. ... I continued over to the room at which point not only did she attempt to block my passage but then grabbed my arms to restrain me!! 4. I met with the risk management person who asked me what the problems were.I was happy to relate the problems and then was told that her solution was to have a nightly call at 8pm and 11 am in the morning for staff to let me know her status. This occurred one time and never again. 5. The director of social work called me one week after my mother had been admitted and told me that the social worker assigned to her had been trying to call me on several occasions and had left messages for me... interesting as I have no message machine. ..my cell phone is how to reach me which she had just done quite easily. After I pointed this out she had the social worker call me... at which point she offered to have a family meeting... as my mother was to be discharged the following day i felt this was unnecessary. 6. 8am on the day of discharge the social worker called me to go over background information !!! As I pointed out .. this would have been useful on her day of admission .. I was not going to permit her to complete unfinished paperwork that should have been done previously. I am not an unreasonable person ... I acknowledge that treating this population is very difficult... but this is not a reason for unprofessional behavior. read more

Horrible,horrible hospital. My mother spent a week there. Same experiences as the other posters, but my main reasoning for posting is to warn everyone. The day after my mother checked in, one of the nurses had went through my moms purse, which was locked away, and stole one of her checks from her checkbooks. She used it to write herself a check for $150. It took days to get in touch with someone from the hospital. The first few times we called, people hung up on us. Finally got through to the CEO(I believe that's what she was) of the hospital. She told us to send her a copy of the forged check and they would reimburse us and fire the nurse who did it. It took two months to get a check back and I'm not even sure if the nurse was fired. She also asked me to remove my previous Yelp review ( stating this same thing)before she sent the check. I did, we got our money back so now this is going back up. We should have just sued. Be warned, people. read more

The best thing about Haven Behavior Hospital is its impressive webpage where they purport to offer a wide range of behavior services to their patients and families but fall short of actually performing these services. My mother recently stayed there for a normal ten day observation and diagnostic evaluation in which she met with a staff psychiatrist on her first day there for a brief interview and did not see him thereafter. During her stay there her family was given little or no information on her condition except to say that she was a good patient and what course of action would be taken or prescribed. There was supposed to be a social worker to coordinate with the family to keep them abreast of her progress which didn't actually happen until after six days had passed and repeated calls to her phone only to be told that the original social worker had been replaced by another social worker. In short close to her ten day stay the family was notified that she was going to an assisted living facility in the next day or two. Needless to say we were shocked at such a fast decision with little or not consultation as to what was going on and still not consult with a staff doctor or psychiatrist. My mother in her condition of dementia was all too willing to go to this so called assisted living facility having met the owner the day before. I and another family member went to check out this facility and located it on a small residential block of two story rowhouse type apartments. The so called assisted living facility had a fenced in front yard where two people were sitting down, the male just smoking away. We inquired about the owner and the female went into the entranceway up a flight of stairs and came back down to inform us that the owner was not at the moment as her door was locked. We left but couldn't help noticing that the male in the front yard appeared to be acting more like a zombie and the female not far behind either. We saw no supervision at all here and this is the facility the hospital staff and social worker were going to send her off to after they were through with their so called treatment. Her brother whom she had been residing with came and took her back home with him. He was assured that the paperwork and such would be ready for him at discharge but was not, he did not see or talk to anyone concerning her treatment or course of action but given medication for her which was much too strong as shortly thereafter she was walking around like a zombie and not her usual self. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that this behavior facility does not deliver what they promise and if they assume that no family is involved they will ship the patients off to some sham assisted living facility and be done with them. read more

Please DO NOT believe the review below. Rachell phillips is actually the D.O.N and she is lying.she only wrote it because half of her staff is resigning and they need new staff to cover. Her and her minion nurse manager nicole is a poor definition of leadership. They actually made the place worst than what it already is. The d.o.n talks down on you if you make a mistake in front of coworkers. They do not help on the floor instead they hide in their office and gossip. The nurse manager acts like she doesn't know anything, she walks around with the schedule book all day and the place still be extremely short staff due to her lack of knowledge on how to appropriately staff. This place need to be shut down immediately. The patients are the one suffering do not ever bring you family member here. I know these things because im a former employee! read more

It has taken me weeks to settle down. If I had written this review three weeks ago it would have contained a lot of expletives. My Mom did not have the opportunity to choose a hospital. It was an emergency admission. In fact the hospital we went to had a psych floor. Only to be informed after waiting fours hours for a crisis worker to evaluate her,that the floor was full and had a waiting list for admission. I will try to keep this simple-BEWARE!!!!! Communication with family members was substandard-unless you pushed for it. It was nearly impossible to speak to the psychiatrist. I was given his office number 2x by staff-only to find out it was wrong! The social workers name and phone number given to me by staff( I left message for her three times) only to find out she no longer works there. In fact there was only one Social Worker for the entire floor of patients. She was very nice & overworked. The Nurses did provide my Mom with kindness(she even sent them a thank you note). Her meds were on point. So not all bad. However, its a sad state of affairs when the patient(my Mom)recognized her name&photo identifying her outside of her room did not match. Maybe that's why the doctor confused her with another patient. She folded this in half only showing her name. It was changed seven days later. Discharge time(even confirming it)was a mess. Doctor did not write script for new meds. Discharge summary not sent to PCP. My Mom ended up at PCP the next morning with UTI. When PCP office called nurses station for summary(not even 24 hours later)they were told patient had to request it. I then placed a call to the nurses station to straighten out. However, the person who answered the phone was not a nurse but a patient. Who told me they were busy and she was allowed to answer the phone. I was BEYOND my limit with continuous disbelief of lack of care. The admissions department made sure a nurse called PCP and discharge with current meds were sent to PCP. I left message for CFO and she did call me the next day. She assured me she would look into my grievances and was a bit taken back by my complaints. She did confirm the lack of Social Workers. Is this the state of Mental Health Care? I hope not. My Mom had three strong advocates. What happens to those patients who have none. SHAME ON YOU HAVEN!!!! read more

There is absolutely no way I would recommend this place to anyone. The nurses, social workers, and doctors aren't on the same page. The doctor never calls regarding what's going on with my dad even when asking for him to call when visiting in person or leaving messages on the phone. He prescribed medicine that the assisted living facility he came from doesn't even allow, as he's never called them like he is supposed to!!! And this guy is in charge of the doctors!!! read more

My father received terrible care at Haven. He had dementia & I think the staff was not prepared to deal with his condition. Dad had an episode of aggression so he was sent to Haven, by the personal care facility, where he was residing. Haven was to attempt to modify his behavior so he could return to the personal care facility. Anytime our family went to visit, dad seemed quite drugged. During visiting hours the nurses were not available for questions on dad's care unless we insisted on having someone update us on his treatment. The treating physician never contacted anyone in the family with an update of what was going on with dad's treatment. I couldn't even tell you the name of the physician that was caring for my father. Dad went to Haven walking, talking & eating & after 12 days in Haven he was not eating, drinking, or speaking. He had sores on his arms, legs & heels. On top of all everything, this facility lost his dentures, glasses, sneakers, watch & pants. read more

I don't even know where to begin...in terms of trying to ask for help, trying to find out information from the social workers, getting a hold of the social workers, and the staff in general from this place is terrible. You might as well call yourself a social worker since they don't help you at all. I was very proactive in trying to get my aunt evaluated and placed to a proper facility so that her discharge would be smooth since she was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's/dementia. The social workers never called me back after calling the facility 4-5 times a day. And once I got a hold of someone after practically begging someone at the nurses' station to please transfer me to some one, they were rude and made it sound like I wasn't doing anything for my family member! The nerve!!! And when I would visit my aunt and ask to speak to someone about how she was doing or trying to physically get a hold of the social worker it was never the social worker who was managing her case and it would be a long wait to finally speak to someone. Haven is horrible! Please do not send your loved one here. This place was a disgrace! read more

LIES! LIES! And more LIES!!!!! Rachell P hmmm that sounds like the d.o.n. of that scumb of a place DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE...every word that comes out that lady mouth is a lie the place was already a mess but she have brought it down extremely...Her or her FRIEND which is the nurse manager do not assist on the floor they stay in they office. Like other places when it is inclement weather conditions most d.o.n.s and managers are there to help assist their staff not them they were in the comforts of their home demanding their staff that was scheduled to get there. The good employees she either fired or they got fed up and quit on their own terms. the place is not clean all her nurse friends are managers on every shift and they dont do their job either besides report everything the techs do back to her. And as far as smiling no one is smiling not even her this place is a depressing place and it needs to be shutdown like the other Havens in other states read more
