I came here from San Francisco Bay Area during work. I was staying a week so I wanted to find a place to get some cigars. I found the listing in Yahoo YP and decided to check it out. I sent an email to the listed people on the website (http://www.habanasmokes.com/) inquiring about information posted on the website. I did not get a reply so it made me wonder about the place. I was in Jackson MS about 3 days before I GPS'ed the place and drove over. The shop is located on I55 off the side of the freeway. You can see it from the freeway for sure. I stepped in and a gentlemen at the front cash register said hello. He was pretty engaged in a conversation with what was obviously one of the regulars. Now the good part -- the place is filled with great quality stogies at comparable prices. I would actually say that they are not overpriced from what I have shopped at previously. Brand names include Gurkha, Rocky Patel, CAO, Davidoff, Nubs, Oliva, Fuentes, Romeo and Julieta, Drew Estates -- too many to list but for sure something for everybody. There is a small seating area towards the back as well as 2 seats in front of the doors before you go in. In general a nice place to get your smokes. Do not pass this shop by! The employees are wonderful, and laid back. They didn't judge us when we walked in with a humidor that we purchased in Az and knew nothing about. They took the time to educate us about proper care for it, helped us cure the wood and prepare it, and expected nothing in return. In fact, they almost looked shocked when we purchased more products from their store! Their "man cave" is comfy with large plush couches and chairs to relax on while smoking your pipe, cigar, or even cigarette. We will keep this shop on our radar for future travels! Oh, and for those of you who are military: they do give a discount. Good to see that we aren't forgotten! read more

I wish I could give half stars because I believe it is better than 3 stars but not quite 4. They have a huge selection but the issue I have is with how crowded and congested the store felt. It took forever to find what I was looking for as everything felt crammed into the store. The young man that was working was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Best selection so far in the Jackson area that I have found. read more

DJ was great but downhill from there. They serve whiskey and wine in plastic glasses. Ugh. Unbearable. Cigars were fine but not worth the money for the drinks or the entry fee. The atmosphere was just ok and the furniture was cheap. Paint already chipping off and the place hasn't even been open that long. Also they don't validate parking. I agree with the previous Yelpers review. A good selection at reasonable prices. The owner is friendly and welcoming. There is a nice deck out back, looks to be a great area for when the weather is nice. This is a good option for those into a good cigar (count me IN)!! read more

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, great location, and great selection of smokes! Stopped in while traveling on business to have a smoke and maybe pick up some new sticks. I ended up getting a great tour by the gentleman working the place that day. I bought a few new sticks, one or two that i've had before, and a yummy beer to enjoy with my smoke. I will definitely be stopping in again now that I know this place is here!!! read more

Been here many times in the last few months. Helpful, engaging, and friendly staff members really try to assist you with choosing a "good stick." The regulars are affable and fun-loving, and you can begin to feel at home in the simple, unadorned, but welcoming environment. Not pretentious or snooty, but a knowledgeable and fun staff. They even seasoned a very inexpensive humidor I purchased there, and treated me as if I were spending hundreds--not just a few bucks. read more
