Shawn was off the dock and in the cool water first , watching over us as we dove into the lake . What a refreshing swim. Tyler was leading the bike ride on the small road back as Shawn followed bring ing up the last of us safely.Tyler also watched over us to make sure we all arrived to our fabulous lunch at the roadhouse style restaurant. During the train ride to Salzburg, she told us of the history of the city, the real story of the Von Trapp escapades and the good places to eat while there. At the city, she took us to the major points and again explained the history behind them. We had three hours on our own before we met for the return trip back to Munich. Had a delicious Bavarian lunch based on her recommendation. We also had a lovely time on the return train ride as she was very conversational getting everyone in the group to talk and laugh. It was well worth the ticket price. Would highly recommend.

He was confrontational in the train on the way down. When we got there he kept barking at us. I was embarrassed to be with him. My daughter and I finally left his tirades and said we would meet him back at the train (since he had the tickets). We would have been better off to just arrange our own train down and back. When you have limited time on a vacation you hate to have it wasted with nasty people.

We met our tour guide Jon and 5 others joined the tour as well. The tour price included the fare on the lightrail and bus to get to Dachau. It was really nice to not have to worry about the times and connections. Not that it would have been a huge deal, but when on vacation, I like to worry less about logistics. Jon was very knowledgeable and I am so glad that I did use InMunich Tours because it was nice to have someone talk about the key points of the Dachau Memorial. The views are amazing! Lana had lots of great information on the way up and was quiet on the way back because a lot of people were sleeping on the way home. We got to drive on the autobahn and I saw lots of Porsches going at least 100 MPH. The castle was awesome, it is about a 30 minute tour and at the pickup spot you can grab a nice red brat. The have beer too. Definitely an awesome trip you should take and try to get Lana as your tour guide!

The meeting point was easy to find and transportation was prompt and comfortable for the full ~9-hour round trip. Lana was our guide and easily one of the best I've ever had--witty, funny, and packed with idiosyncratic Bavarian facts. She kept us engaged and entertained the entire time, even including some adult only material. On the bus, keep your eyes peeled for cows, alpacas, deer, and CATS roaming the countryside. The castle and Bavarian scenery are breathtaking on their own, but Lana's local-born energy and storytelling made the entire day unforgettable.
