It is raised a little and looks almost like a small stage on which the lone waitress is bustling about while baking. The main room is simple with pretty dangling Japanese lanterns that emit a soft light. There is one whitewashed brick wall and above are pale wood beams. The tables are simple and the chairs are plastic bucket chairs, yet the place seems to have a quiet elegance. The homemade baked goods are excellent, with a very pretty presentation. It's a shame I only noticed this little independently-run place after months of looking for a decent coffee and settling for larger coffeehouse chains! I only ever managed to grab a coffee to go, but there are enough seats inside and outside, and the atmosphere is very nice and "cozy" - it's definitely a nice place to sit down for a while, either on your own with a good book or with friends. The only "drawback" is the size of the cup compared to the price. It's a bit pricey compared to other cafes, but I am definitely willing to pay a little more for such a high quality! They also serve some food including Bagels (yum!) and other snacks. Definitely a "must visit" for people who enjoy a good cup of coffee.
