Haus Zelic is a Croatian restaurant specializing in really perfect steak. Of course it's possible to get individual dishes here, but it's really best to eat Croatian style with shared dishes. There are several options of shared platters with different types of meats. We tried the steak platter "for two" which came with 8 -- yes 8 -- steaks for less than 50 euro! In this platter, the filet mignon pieces were the typical size, and these were just 2 of the 8 steaks on the plate. Incredible. It was all perfect with some delicious Croatian red wine. Went here with a group of friends. The restaurant has their own parking lot. It is decorated nicely, very comfortable and clean. There is inside as well as outside seating. If you wanted to sit outside, there is a window to block the wind for those who wanted to be closer outside and still be able to smoke and not disturb the rest of the non-smoking guests (which was really nice for me:) We were warmly welcomed by the host. The waiters are very efficient. The food was tasty and a good portion. Some dishes allowed you to serve yourself from the salad buffet. I ordered the a steak and gnocchi combination meal. The meat was good. The e gnocchi wasn't bad, but wasn't the best. It wasn't as light as the ones I've had in Italy. But I think it was different then the Italian gnocchi which is light and airy and creamy. My meal was average in cost, around 15 Euro. Haus Zelic is a nice alternative restaurant to have a nice meal. Go here for the food. Stay for the atmosphere. read more
