Opening night was a blast! Let's get into my personal haunted endeavors metrics: Spookiness: 6/10 spooky scaries if we include Dark Trails. 3/10 if we exclude it. Not enough to give me nightmares. I got more scared of the trail and rustling of leaves and anticipation of scares. Honestly, a great introduction the the spookies for the whole family. Definitely chill to bring teens to. Parents can actually just hang out in the Midway without a ticket and hang out while kids do the spookies, which is something the other haunts don't plan well for. Scare actors quantity: 7/10 spooky scaries. There could've been more at the attractions, but really the complaint here is that there weren't enough scaring me on the Midway. But thinking about it now... maybe that was the whole family friendly thing. Am I he problem?? Scare actors quality: 10/10 story telling, 8/10 spookies. Not a lot of jump scares, by a lot of stalking and people blocking passages, which disrupted the flow of traffic when people got backed up and was pretty awesome to get groups back on track. Set design: 9/10. Obsessed with the fog rooms where it looks like monsters are swimming towards you under the "water" (fog). Each attraction has its own story and they're all clearly told. Wait times: 15-30 minute waits with no fast passes on opening night. I'd opt for the fast passes if it was any other night. Clear signage: clear with no room for error Access: easy peasy. attractions well spaced out, free parking. Easy to get to from the road. Nicely organized parking lot. Extras: the Carny Crypt (Fungus among Us) was so campy and cute. Kids will like it. Not very spooky for the adults at all. All in all, the amount of houses that you get for the price with free parking is so worth it. It definitely doesn't cause "panic" but scratches that spooky season itch! read more

I had SUCH a blast here!! Great walk-through trails for maximum spookiness. The actors are clearly having lots of fun. I love to give myself over to the experience and allow myself to get scared, because how often in your adult life is it permissible to scream at the top of your lungs?? It's so much fun! My only complaint is that they sent groups in without much space in between, so we were constantly catching up with the group in front of us or had the group behind us catch up with us. I can't fault them for it though, because they have to send people through relatively quickly to keep the lines moving. Since I can't think of a solution, I won't dock a star for it. Just something to keep in mind as you're going through--I'd recommend sticking to a group size of 2-4 people, so that if you catch up with the group in front it's not a HUGE backup. Creepy haunted attraction full of haunted forest horror. My family was very impressed with the entertainment. Decor, Settings, Acting and Layout is well done. I think the Dark Trail was a great place to start the night with option 1 of 7 attractions. The Howling Hayride and Menacing Maze were most talked about in my group. The Haunted Forest is for sure the best! Its a half mile walkthrough of different scary scenes it had a great amount of jump scares for the whole group! My boyfriend and I had fun! Honestly, it really wasn't scary and seemed almost teenage oriented if that makes any sense. There were a LOT of maybe 13-16 year olds that had obviously been dropped off by their parents who were just acting plain rude and being extremely boisterous like they had no public manners. Other than the groups of children who would talk and mildly ruin the haunted houses it was pretty fun. I'd definitely be happier with it if anybody under 16 had to have a guardian with them! read more

I wish you could've heard us scream during the haunted forest and dark trail because that was genuinely the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. The actors were dressed to the tens, and I couldn't help but to make uncomfortably long eye contact with leather face when I was exiting a shed...anyways shout out to CILAS (I hope you I spelled your name right) because we were making a video and he scared us so horribly, and then got us again on the way out, he was chill like that tho and even busted a dance move with us. This was my second time coming here and both times were really fun! There are a lot of creative themes and ideas....and there's new stuff added every year it seems. Attractions include the Haunted Forest Trail, the Voodoo Bus, the Dark Walk and the Haunted Hay Ride. In addition, there are games for groups such as the "Killers in the Corn maze" and the "Zombie Shootout"......all designed to scare even the bravest of souls....including me! You can tell that they put a lot of effort in the planning and staging of the theme park. From the props to the actors....it's all legit. Speaking of the actors they are really good. The costumes are believable, they go full out into their character and there is a lot of role play. By far, my favorite is the Haunted Forest. This place is bound to get a scare or scream out of you. In between the attractions, there is food and other events to complete the experience. In all, a great event to add to your "things to do" list during the Halloween season. It is perfect and much more fun to experience in groups. I came here on a night out with the Family. There were nine of us, at various ages from 8 to 45.....needless to say, everyone had a blast! There were some very well executed surprises and scares that really got me, but there were other times where it was just fun! I would recommend going here at least once for the experience! * PRO TIP: Buy your tickets, in advance, online. Also, consider buying the VIP tickets....it will save you the 1 to 2 hour waits....for some of the main attractions on a busy night....like Friday or Saturday nights. You've been warned! lol We did just that and saved so much time from dealing with the long lines....I mean if looks could kill, you should of seen the faces of people as we breezed right pass them and into the attractions....with no wait might I add!! Maybe if the actor who was in Killer of the Corn wasn't such a douchebag and didn't play along like he originally was. "Don't touch the corn" he said in his acting voice, I played along and obviously did the opposite. Nothing was said after that, but once we went through a section, and came out he was there again. I told him "i'm touching the corn" to continue the fun and that's when he ran up in our faces and yelled at us. When I say I'm touching the corn I am literally tapping it with my finger. I was not damaging any property but he wanted to pull the "manager card" and then asked us "if we wanted to stay" as if he was getting ready to kick us out when it was already last call. The kid had black curly hair and was probably not even old enough to be a manager. Besides that particular exhibit everything was fine and fun, but that experience ruined the entire time for my friends and I. read more

Visited Panic Point last night to check out the latest and newest things they upgraded too. I worked with panic point few years ago and left for personal reasons. I will break down how I experience everything. I'm an honest person when it comes to the haunt industry and I look for actor skills, talent skills and over all the entertainment. So let's start off with the basics, so on a Saturday night it's very busy so parking can be very challenging, which is normal. I do like the fact you do not need to pay for parking. That is a huge plus. Second the line to get tickets went smoothly somewhat, I want get into much details with that, but it went well. Third the midway seems more like a circus show, which seem different but odd at the same time. Wasn't sure what the plan was for that, anyways the lines were packed so I definitely was glad I got the VIP ticket. I was not waiting 2 hours or more to wait in line. Which again that's a normal time to wait on a Friday or Saturday night. So one of the negative things I wasn't a fan of, which few of the other customers around me complained heavy about how you meet up with other groups while your trying to experience the haunt, you will already see the scary because of the people in front of you, which seem pointless to be scared if you saw the scary happen in front of you. So definitely a time system in place or something to stop that from happening. The other thing is I caught few actors just lacking off with their scares, like they seem not wanting to be there or they were bored, not sure. Not all attractions I went throughout were like that, but mostly all the attractions I ran into other groups. Now I'm very into how the characters make up look and let me be super honest, the make up looked very cheaply done, like it was rush or the make up artist didn't care. I was very disappointed with that. Being a creative person I want the make up and characters to match the theme, also DONT TELL A CUSTOMER to get out or leave, that is one thing as an actor to never say, again be your character and come up with dialog with your scene and character. Again more effort in the acting please. Now stalkers in the corn was a joy, the actors did a fantastic job in there! They played their roles very well! The hayride was a very very disappointing experience, seems like every year they slowly give up with that. The scene was boring, the acting was decent, but they ruin the zombie experience for me! As I'm a huge zombie lover, they plan the zombie theme very poorly, the make up wasn't even zombie horror, it wasn't worth it. Again its a haunted attraction, not a movie set, totally understand that, but playing over $50 or more to experience this haunt, I'll have to say, it's not worth it, it seems like they gave up on a lot and they didn't want to put in the work. Maybe it's time for a change of mind and scenery? Just my opinion. Customer service was good, the ticket takers were nice, besides I'm lost at the VIP line as few of them didn't really pay attention to the VIP line. But again it was a busy nice. Personality it seems like there needs to be more training on acting, make sure the scene is full finished, as I notice some scenes were unfinished but overall it was an okay performance and experience, if they want to grow they have a lot of work to do. Again was it worth the hour drive to see and feel the haunt experience, yes, but I would like a better experience if things were different, with the actors and crew to make sure everything is better, and also please remove the circus theme, if your going to have a circus theme, make sure it's horror theme not happy or happy go theme. Yeah, so I'm never coming here again. Came on Oct 20, and it started raining as soon as we got there. They shut down, which is not a problem, but sent everyone to their cars to wait on emails with updates, and said the delay would be an hour. That all sounds fine, but we had zero cellular signal in the area to get updates, even though we have two different carriers. So no way to get info while sitting in the car in the rain in the pitch black. We left to get signal and they said it would open again at approximately the hour mark, staying open until 11:30. Of course, the hour wait delayed multiple groups from going in so it would be sprinkling and crowded for the rest of the night with long lines. 11:30 is also way late for a 7:30 arrival time. None of the emails they sent about the delays mention this, but we can reschedule our tickets for a later date, which is a plus I guess. It's a long drive and likely only going to get more crowded as Halloween approaches. Basically a 0/10 experience and they don't do refunds. Really disappointed with the lack of communication and that the emails we did get did not make it clear we could reschedule as an option. Total waste of time and money. read more

We came for their opening night & bought the VIP tickets since we had never experienced this place before. Honestly, it was worth it! We really appreciated the fact that we were allowed to go with just ourselves and not attached to another group just so we could be at our own pace but also experience each scare and attraction without it being ruined or spoiled by seeing a group ahead of us. Each attraction probably took between 10-15 minutes to go through, which the longer the trail the better. Would say the hayride could have been a tad bit better by having a storyline as you go through, but all the actors and employees were very nice and did a great job! We were more scared of tripping and falling due to not being able to see rather than the very tame haunters. I would go yearly if they get some more lights so we could actually see the ground .I am not scared of what I can't see.I'm more scared of what I can see that is up ahead. read more

I visited again this year in 2021. It was a tad better but it's not worth coming here if you really want to be scared. The actors are sometimes hiding in very obvious places and you can see them approaching you. Most of their actors used their silent presence to scare opposed to sound which would have been better in my opinion. On the hay ride, the actors were mostly active on the back of the truck. I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere where people could congregate at the fire pit or get their family/ group together. The music was a good touch. If you don't want to stand in lines for hours, get a fast pass/VIP ticket. Parking was free. This is a very accessible haunted attraction so if you're in Wake Forest or Raleigh and not looking for a top tier scare, then this would be great especially for kids. 5-stars for Ron's UYE last Friday night! I had a wonderful time with new and old Yelp friends. We shared great convo at dinner, a few scares and a lot of good belly laughs at the Haunted Forest, and good small talk at the brewery afterward. Thanks for organizing such a fun night, Ron W.! :) We started the evening at Tropical Picken Chicken, and what yummy food that was! I had the mixed plate with jerk chicken, steak, and pulled pork. The chicken was my favorite! Kuanyu had a feast of fried goodness, and he cleaned his plate without hesitation, despite their workers saying the meal was too much for one person :) Our awesome CM Lauryn C. came & indulged in the tastiness and introduced us to a verde hot sauce they had! At Panic Point, Ron managed to score us 1/2 priced tickets for the event (thanks again for that!) and we got in line for the forest. Julia and her husband joined us in line too. As we were entering the line, scary Larry managed to sneak up on Lauryn and scare the bajesus out of her, it was awesome! We had to walk through the forest in groups, but we all had fun laughing at those that got really scared. It wasn't too scary, but just enough for good laughs :) We concluded the night over a few pints at White Street Brewery in downtown Wake Forest. Good conversation was had by all, and it was great to get to know everyone. I hope to have more of these nights soooooon, and I vote Ron coordinates again because that was super! :) read more

Hah, ok I may have set this UYE up but I'm still giving it five stars! Shortened story but we had a great meal at Tropical Picken Chicken, a fun time at the Haunted Forest and then a relaxing beer or two over at White Street Brewery. What I liked best about the event was that it was casual and fun all-around. Bonus is hearing your Yelp Community Manager Lauryn C running around and screaming her head off, sigh... A handful of us met up for dinner and we all had some great Puerto Rican food at Tropical Picken Chicken. Loved my chicken, braised pork and tostones, yum! Then off to the Haunted Forest which was pretty mellow but still intense enough to instill some shrieks of terror in some of your fellow Yelpers. And then a quick swing out to downtown Wake Forest for some smooth beers from White Street. All-in-all it was a great chance for me to check out the scene in Wake Forest and dabble with my neighbor to the north. So awesome-sauce way to start up Halloween! This weekend me and my friends decided to go to Panic Point. On the Killers of the Corn maze the Pennywise clown pushed up against my friend which they aren't supposed to do. On the same maze my other friend lost their wallet in the corn and they wouldn't let us go back through until the place shut down at 11:00 PM and we got there at 8:00. Also the seats on the Haunted Hayride are way to small and uncomfortable. I will say the trails are fun and scary and it was a overall a good experience. However, I expected the dark forest to be a little better. read more

Don't waste your time if your not between the ages of 14-20. Actors pass right by you to go scare the "young" crowd or in today's world I would say entitled little brats. If you were thinking of going on a Saturday and expect to be scared don't bother going. Don't waste your money on a fast pass, we did skip the line but not the rude "children". Expect to be ran into multiple times by other patrons. Don't ask them to keep their distance without being threatened to be kicked out by staff. Every haunt you run into the group in front of you only to literally have the actors scream in your face to move faster. Sorry I can't if there are 6 other people in front of me idiot. The only attraction that even was satisfying was the hay ride( I believe because no one could run away) It seemed like all guests felt equally attended to by the scarers, at least on my ride anyways. Brought 17 of our cast & crew from the Nightmare Factory Haunted Attraction in Havelock, NC and we had an amazing experience! The parking was easy and the radio announcement for rules was really neat. The staff were friendly and helpful from the very beginning. The COVID-19 precautions were perfect and didn't impact the overall experience. We all felt very safe, clean, and socially distanced. All four attractions were well built with adequate lighting. The actors did a great job with the startle scares and dialogues and made us all jump multiple times in each room! It was definitely worth the money as it took almost 2 hours to get through all the haunts, and that's with little to no wait. So glad this was open on a Sunday so we could come and enjoy the show. We can't wait to come back next year! Highly recommend visiting! read more

A fantastic way to kick off Halloween and Fall! Yes, this place may be better suited for the younger teenage crowd but I still like the thrill of being scared so it was right up my alley. Plus darkness always helps to enhance the spook factor. We came to Panic Point for the Triple Fright ticket package ($25) which included the following haunted attractions: The Haunted Forest, The Dark Trail, and The Howling Hayride. On the first two Friday's in October, the tickets are half price! We conquered the Howling Hayride first. It was the least scary of the three since we got to sit down and were close together. Still, it was a nice segway to the other attractions. The Haunted Forest was my favorite. It was the longest and was composed of sections of open trails, multiple haunted theme houses, a little grave yard, et cetera. The Dark Trail was comparable to the Haunted Forest, thought it seemed much shorter and did involve, as it's name implies, much more walking in darkness. The Dark Trail also had a limit of 3 per group so it was the one attraction that we had to split up at. I was really impressed with the number of staff they employ to make this all this happen. The costumes were great and there was a variety of ghouls and goblins. Overall, the amount of effort they put into the entire attraction is quite impressive. As I get older, things just seem less scary to me but it was still a lot of fun. I think $25 per person for the ticket package is a little steep. The half price offer was a good deal. Keep your eyes out for the entrance, it can be easy to miss. It is grass parking but there were a few employees around to guide us towards the area to park. We arrived at about 7:30 pm which was perfect. The sun had set and it was dark enough but there were not any long lines yet. Around 9 pm when we were finishing up, the lines had grown tremendously. read more

We had went to Universal and spent $600 on their Horror Nights and it really wasn't worth it for the kids, more of a grown up attraction, just info in case anyone is looking into doing that with their kids. Honestly, with Covid precautions put in place, they did an excellent job at keeping the spooky spirit up. This was my first time there so I can't compare it to a "normal" season, but I will say my family and I had a lot of fun! There is a ton to see and lots of great setups and actors. Actors were careful not to get too close but still scare you from afar. Every single one incorporated a mask into their costume, which was creative and cool to see. Each attraction asked that we used hand sanitizer before entering and keep our masks on at all times. I felt safe and had so much fun, I would definitely return for another season! read more

We've been coming as a group for a while, this year the lines were horrible. We showed up at 7 prepaid for or tickets and could only do 4 of the 6 main attractions i paid for horrible. If you're thinking about going here, do it! Just buy your tickets now! $35 is a steal for this place. Coming from California where you were $60+ for one person and not even being able to see everything because the lines were too long - this place was perfect! Each attraction was a great amount of time/distance. I do suggest to take close toe shoes since there's a bit of walking. We went as a date night and got the tickets for 7:30-7:45 and it was perfect timing. People are still arriving so the lines aren't too long. And by the time you finish the attractions more people are there. They have a DJ that keeps it entertaining and carnival games. The Killers in the Corn was our favorite! They did such a great job with each set and the actors were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are super excited for next year. If $35 is too much for you, go on their website and I think I saw Thursday nights being a bit cheaper. And to mention, some people say they didn't like the amount of time the staff were allowing guests into the attractions because it would spoil the scariness for those behind them - it's not necessarily the staff's fault. This happened to us because the people in front of us were walking too slow. What we did was, let the people in front of us walk in to the attraction/set wait a little bit and then walk in. My husband and I drove two hours from the Moore County area to attend Panic Point's opening night and it definitely did not disappoint. We got the Package of Fear wristbands that allow you access to every attraction (there are five total). Our mutual favorite was Dark Trail. The actors were top-notch and a few of them I swear were contortionists--in one of the "rooms," we had to enter underneath someone's legs and it was creepy and awesome. A close second favorite was the Haunted Forest attraction. This one was really long, which we appreciated--you definitely get your money's worth. Another great attraction was the Haunted Hayride, which we began the night with. This attraction was seriously innovative and we were served more than one jump scare. Killers in the Corn was pretty cool, but was a little confusing to navigate at times--Michael Myers had to direct us at one point (lol). Our least favorite was Menacing Maze, primarily because we only encountered two actors during the walk, but being in a corn maze is pretty spooky by itself. All-in-all, great experience. I really enjoyed our trip there this weekend. The dark forest was definitely the scariest. The line for the main attraction, the haunted forest was VERY long. We had to wait over 45 minutes and it was not nearly as scary as the dark forest (and there were some parts that were very slippery or had somewhat of a step that you couldn't really see because it of the dark- so just be careful). We did a carnival game instead of the regular corn maze and won free t-shirts which was pretty nice. It is a bit expensive, but they do put a lot of work into the costumes and attractions. We bought tickets online and then used the 10% off code you can get when you sign up for text messages. Positives- Dark forest was awesome, short lines for other attractions besides main one, police presence, other people were respectful and nice for the most part, parking was very organized, Website was very informative, very few kids/teenagers, was not too crowded, ways to reduce cost (buy online, code from text message) Negatives- Long line for main attraction, main attraction wasn't as scary as dark forest, music was catchy pop songs Overall, I definitely would recommend taking a trip there! I would start with the not so scary attractions (hay ride, cairny crypt) and finish with the more scary ones (haunted forest then the dark forest). Also, make sure you are on the lookout for scared people running (even though they tell you not to run, some people do). Plan on wearing supportive and comfortable shoes as you may need to stand in line for a while. read more

A better scare than you'll get at any movie for just about the same price. They even take card. This place has an excellent location. Set on the outskirts of town, you have to drive through several miles of unlit road before even getting here. If you're paranoid in general, you're alarms are already starting to whirl before you even get out of the car. There were several attractions, including a zombie shootout, where you get to shoot paint balls at "zombie" workers, a haunted bus, and a "leap of death" (climb up a ladder, jump to a rope). At the center is a big bonfire and a loudspeaker blaring poppy tunes. I might have taken more issue with this, but when Leslie and I walked past and did 10 seconds of Gangnam style, the DJ rewarded our efforts with the full song. The main attraction is a half mile walk through the woods on a dimly lit path, full of well costumed, well trained actor ghouls and ghosts ready to play on your mounting fear as you get farther and farther away from the comforting light of the fire and boom of the bass. After a few minutes of walking, you can't see anything but the pools of light lit by the small ground lighting every 30ft or so, or hear anything but the frightened screams of groups in front and behind you. The workers do a great job of hiding and playing on your senses to really shock you sometimes. In several of the installations throughout the woods, you can't help but tense up at the pitch black nooks and corners you're sure something is going to jump out at you from. The best part, is when they don't and they appear from somewhere else and really get a yell out of you. Even if you aren't into the scary attractions, stuff like this can be fun just to see some great productions and effort. read more

Our first time last October and all I can say is that they went over and beyond it's not just for those that want to get a scare, it has a less scary but fun hayride for the younger ones. A movie, fire pit, dark walk, as well as the Haunted Bus. I think the best thing about it's not just a 15 min walk through the forest it's a place to spend time a place to hang out enjoy a beer and some Banging Tacos and chill by the bonfire! We will be back! Good for kids 12+ to do the "attractions" smaller kids maybe if they stay by the pit area, they do have people in scary costumes walking around but same as costumes on halloween. read more

Haunted Forest at Panic Point - Fun at haunted Forest.... - Haunted Houses Near Me - Youngsville, North Carolina

Paula and I usually do a couple of these every year. This is a new one located just outside of downtown Youngsville, and to be honest my expectations were pretty low when we walked up - it looked decidedly low-rent. But I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went off. The $15 admission fee gets you entrance to just the Haunted Forest. There are several other options here - a haunted school bus, a hayride, and a "dark walk" - for which you have to buy tickets separately. The dark walk was really spooky - you go into a section of the woods where there is absolutely no lighting at all, with no flashlights or any light and just ropes on either side of the path for guidance. The hayride went through an open field where the ghouls could lie low and them come at the tractor almost literally out of nowhere. And the forest was staffed with enough characters so that you didn't go long stretches without any entertainment. The scares were pretty standard, though - nothing particularly unusual or unexpected - and the walk through the forest takes only about 20 minutes. That's not long enough to justify the price, in my judgment, and I think they should probably do a single entry fee that covers all of the attractions rather than pricing everything out separately. This isn't particularly intense - I wouldn't take a younger child on the dark walk but most of the rest of it would be OK. It's a good introduction to the world of Halloween haunts, although it wouldn't make a Travel Channel documentary. read more

I love Halloween. I love going to haunted attractions, and I found this one due to a coupon I purchased for discount tickets. You have a bit of a walk to get to the ticket booth, and once there you need to sign a waiver. That is because it is dark, and you could trip and fall, or chip a tooth. One never knows what is going to happen in the haunted forest..... We also purchased tickets for the other attractions...the haunted hayride, the dark walk (which has NO lights and you are in complete darkness!) and the ghost bus. I would highly suggest they offer a ticket that covers every attraction. Now on to the ghouls..I am big on having enough "goblins" jumping out and scaring me. They had more then expected, but as always I suggest they need more. Once your ticket number is called (everyone under 2050 for example) get in line quickly for the haunted forest. There is still a wait because they let you go by how many are in your party. Lighted walkways that can get confusing at times, and the goblins blocking your path at times, or jumping out at you. Because of not really knowing where you are going or what you are coming upon, I did find it scary. The ghost bus which you walk through was done extremely well also. Hubby complained how tight it was, but had the desired scare effect. The dark walk has no lighted path and is scary just because of that. I had to hold tightly to the rope and every time it jiggled it scared me even more. The haunted hayride was fun also, with the moonlight shining down and only a few things popping out at us. I would suggest none of this is for anyone under 10 years of age, but that is just me. I would hate to get stuck having to carry a scared child through any of these attractions. They also offer some vendors selling hot dogs,etc and a goblin shoot out, basketball hoop, DJ and a burning fire to gather around. Parking wasn't a problem. Finally got a chance to check this place out last night, after living in the area for three years and driving past it all the time. For $27, you get a voucher for the main attraction (the Haunted Forest), plus six tickets to use towards the other attractions. We got here a little late because of the rain, and only had time to do five out of the six available activities. Here's my thoughts on each: The Zombie Shootout: Basically laser tag, but it's your team versus the zombies, who wear laser tag sensors on their heads. You stand in a booth while they shamble around and act zombiefied. This was pretty fun, if a little short, and it's more like a carnival game than I was expecting. I won a T-shirt for having the most head shots, which was cool. The Carny Crypt: A clown-themed haunted house, constructed inside a legitimately creepy derelict trailer. It's really short, but there's a lot of scare factor per square foot. I didn't expect a lot from this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Menacing Maze: The corn maze, which isn't populated by spooky people. It's still pretty creepy to wander around inside in the dark. The Dark Walk: We waited in line for this almost as long as we waited for the main haunted trail, but this one was a lot shorter. Basically, you're in the dark in the woods with just a rope to follow, and there's scary people around to stalk you. More psychologically scary and fewer jump-scares, so it has a different feel than the main trail. I enjoyed it, but I wished it had been a little longer to justify the wait. The Haunted Forest: The main attraction! We did this one towards the end of the night, because there was a pretty huge line. They say it takes about 20-25 minutes to go through, but I don't think it took us that long. There's a bunch of different scenes and actors, and they're all good. The only one we missed was the Haunted Hayride, which we didn't have enough time for. We got there around 8:45-9:00, and we stayed till they close at midnight, so there was quite a bit to keep us occupied. It has a fun feel, with a big bonfire in the center and a DJ booth playing music. The grounds were also well-maintained, despite it having rained for most of the afternoon. The only area where we ran into mud was inside the corn maze. My only complaint is that $27 is a bit much, especially considering it doesn't get you enough tickets to do all of the activities (we would've had to spend another $5 on the 2 extra tickets needed to do the hayride, if we had enough time). I'm not sure how the pricing and quality compare to other similar attractions in the area, but for $32 you can get a ticket to Scarowinds. I'm deducting a star for that reason, but we still had a great time. read more

Short review: drive in the opposite direction for Kersey Valley Spookywoods. That's where I went last year, and what I used for comparison. So much better. Long review: I bought a Livingsocial, 2 for 1. Had I paid full price I would have been more frustrated. My initial impression: this is cute, but very low budget. How does the high price paid justify the experience? it seemed like families had signed up to man all the stations (10 year old kids running the carnival games, etc.) which is fine, but kinda strange. There is a dance floor and DJ playing pop music. I commented at one point during the walk, "this is a lot less scary with Lady Gaga playing." The music detracted from the scary factor. My voucher was good only for the main attraction, the haunted trail, and not only do you have to wait for the number on your ticket to be called to even get in line, you then have to continue waiting in line (we waited about 30 additional minutes). The good thing is that you have multiple activities to entertain until your ticket number is up. We did the maze (nothing jumps out at you, just literally a dark maze) the carnival games (won a shirt!), and the carny crypt (lasts about 60 seconds). We TRIED (twice) for the zombie shootout, more on that below... We also did the dark walk, which I think was scarier than the main walk and would recommend. It's completely dark, you just hold onto a rope and walk through while people scare you. Zombie shootout: first time we waited in line (10 minutes), nothing was happening and we were confused. Then a policeman came over (?) and one of the "zombies" (they aren't in costume at all, just normal clothes) announced that one of the "zombies" had been hit in the neck (they use paintballs) and was injured, so the zombie shootout would be indefinitely postponed until he recovered. We went back about an hour later. A very bored looking girl looked to be falling asleep at the ticket booth, and the "zombies" were just sitting on the ground in the front of the attraction, doing nothing with about 20 people in line. My boyfriend commented that it really took away from the experience to see them just lounging around--at least try to play into the whole illusion, you know? We know you're not really zombies, but we're paying good money to pretend you are! The main attraction was good, but short. After waiting in a longggg line, we were told the walk would take us 20-30 minutes, and it took about 10. The scares were good, though. There is a concessions stand with drinks, and I think the only food was popcorn. I was hoping for something a little more substantial. I mentioned Spookywoods because that is a truly impressive haunted attraction. Lots of effort, and money, put into a very entertaining experience. I won't return to Panic Point, I'd rather return to Spookywoods or something of similar caliber. read more
