Hired them for a simple move and they didn't show up the scheduled date of the job. Was suppose to arrive at 8:30am and every time I called they told me the "driver was on his way" and eventually at 3pm they asked if I can move it to another day. I used a vacation day and paid to board my dog for the day so this was very inconveniencing wasting my time and money. I recommend using another service like task rabbit to find reliable, affordable help. read more

If I could, I would give it negative stars! I had a delivery come last night that required a signature. The driver had nothing for me to sign and said he had to get a picture of my drivers license to make the delivery. Like a total dummy, I allowed it. (not happy with myself for making that decision). I had been expecting two packages, so this morning I went online to see where the other one was. To my dismay It showed that the other package was delivered at the same time. It was NOT! I will be contacting the company I placed the order with to let them know I will no longer do business with them as long as they use Haultail. read more

I hired haultail to do a moving job for my mother. First they how up with a trailer attached to a 15 yr old mini van. When I inquired as to whether a recliner they had placed on the gate of the trailer would be strapped in the mover looked at me and said "let me do my job." He did strap the recliner in, but it did not appear to be safe. The afternoon proceeded, and was only down hill. They refused to hook the washing machine up, screamed at each other and cussed profusely. It was borderline comical. BUT today my mother informed that as she was putting her dining room table back together (movers DID NOT reattach legs) she found a huge gash on the table top. I called Haul Tails 800 number to tell them how dissatisfied I was. When they answered the phone I asked what city the rep was located in that I was speaking to. She whispered to her co-worker "what should I say?" I get the feeling this entire company is a SCAM read more

Haultail should not advertise as a home moving company. They were very responsive in bidding for the job, but decidedly unprepared to complete it. On the day of the move, for which I expended a vacation day, they claimed "car troubles" and asked to reschedule. When I resisted they showed a couple of hours late with a 15 foot truck for a full house move. The crew of 2 was not informed of, nor prepared for the scope of the job. I was told to expect a four hour duration for the job, but after 6 hours there was still a truckload at the old address. The crew had to leave for another job. I had to wait 2 days for a return visit and only one man showed for the job. This meant that I had to assist with the move of heavy objects in order to complete the move out. The crew were good guys and worked hard. This was not their fault. The blame for this fiasco rests solely with Haultail. A responsible, experienced outfit would have showed with a truck, a 3 man crew, and completed the project in 3-4 hours. Do not use this organization for a home move. read more

Had myself or my neighbor let our dogs out not knowing the fence was intact it could have ended disastrous since they would have had direct access to a busy main road. If you're seeking a company who exhibits professionalism or integrity this is not it. Highly would not recommend as this has been an awful experience. My hope is by someone else reading this review they can seek a different company who exhibits professionalism along with maintaining appropriate work place behaviors while on a job site.
