The lady said I had to fill out the TDLR form so I did and then she said I had to be immediate family or owner. But per TDLR rules and regulations from their website u do not have to be related but she said yes because it was on their bulletin board. A tow truck company cannot add its own rules that contradict or go beyond the rules established by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Since she did deny me she has violated the regulations and I will be filing a complaint against her and the facility. And on top of that I used AAA get my vehicle towed since I couldn't get my keys from there and it happened to be Gilbert's towing And so then she called and told me that I couldn't get my car towed because I didn't have a hard copy of my ID (Which she knew was in their impound, lol) I had a picture of my ID on my phone but that wasn't acceptable she said. I found Maddison through a Yelp request that went out to several auto lockout services. A few never responded. Others quoted one price to get my attention, then tried to tack on additional charges. Maddison responded right away. He said he could come out at 9 p.m., but also pointed out that it would cost less if we scheduled for early the next morning. I appreciated the straightforward advice and our clear text communication. The next morning, he arrived exactly when he said he would and charged precisely what he had quoted the evening before. He resolved my lockout quickly and professionally. He also let me know he could replace my lost key fob with an OEM unit, including cutting and programming, at a price well below what the dealership would charge. I'm impressed with this young man and the way he runs his business. The next time I need a locksmith, he'll be my first call.
