So when I saw this shop I was very excited to see how cheap it really was. I sort of found myself thinking it was nothing extraordinary. Lots and lots of fiddley items dotted around the store with nothing at a stand out ridiculously low price. Never mind there was still some alright make up hidden in the masses. For someone like me it's worth having a look. i've also discovered the Makeup Direct website and think this is perhaps a better way to go about it. You can specify your price range and then have a browse. I just put in under $25 and stumbled upon some pretty nice OPI nailpolishes and eyeshadows etc.

This store has a huge selection of wine, which is fabulous- as you can never have enough wine to choose from really. Large fridges stocked with wine, beer, cider, and ready made beverages also. If you are looking for something a bit more refined to mellow your thoughts with the top shelf is well stocked with everything you can imagine. You don't need to pop to the dairy for juice, water or snacks either they supply chips, peanuts, and the like as well.

You can find just about anything you need for baking cakes, and cookies with the kids, if your looking for a good magazine they have a large selection. I'm always served with a friendly smile and a chat about my day. The store also has a wonderful assortment of candy and chocolate and ice cream for the sweet tooth shopper. To my surprise, as I got closer I noticed the sign outside requesting Trelise Cooper, Annah Stretton etc, and curiosity got the better of me. When I walked inside I noticed that most of the stock looked to be of good quality and in good condition, but looked to me to be for the funky, older ladies of Birkenhead Point. Definitely catering more for the 50-somethings than people of my age. I had a chat with the shop assistant and their selling policy seems pretty fair, and equitable with most recycled clothing shops around town. They seem to be quite discerning with their choice of stock too.

The racks are jam packed with clothes so there's not much room for maneuvering around inside. If there are other people in the store at the same time as you it can get a bit tricky making your way around. The racks are all colour co-ordinated so you can at least rule out any items you wouldn't want based on colour. But that's about all you can do to help your hunt. Once you've established where you're going to start sifting, sifting is all you can do. I came here last week and pillaged through many of the racks. I tried a few things on and did come away with a gorgeous top. It was a beautiful soft heavy fabric and was the most brilliant blue-ish colour. I also tried on a red dress, which I decided I didn't want to pay $40 for. The shop assistant told me to come check in again as they lower the prices of unsold items after about six weeks. I will certainly be doing so!

The lady who looked after me was lovely and totally made me feel better about my splurge by admitting that she had bought the same pair in leopard earlier in the day. She also gave me a loyalty card... not that I need any additional motivation to buy shoes. I must admit, most of the brands they stock i've never heard of but the shop assistant tells me that they're largely from Aussie. Anyway, my flat we just over a $100, which I thought very reasonable for leather lined shoes. Tango's also stock a range of bags and scarves.
