Super garden centre on outskirts of Bournemouth with large areas under cover, including many of the garden plants which makes it easy to shop in the rain ..if you really must. Huge range of plants of various sizes. , lots of garden tools and chemicals. There's a large cafe which apparently will soon get even bigger, so you can see Haskins is a busy place. These Haskins Garden Centres seem to go from bad to worse. This one is large and like a glorified gift shop. Gardening sundries & machinery seem to get less & less and the plants are mainly pre-arranged pots, all identical. Don't try buying a good perennial here in the autumn, you've had it and the staff do not appear to have the expertise. There is a large selection of gifts all in lines, supermarket style, no tempting displays. There are water features, pet section, Seasonal furniture and Christmas decorations but you won't find anything unusual or different here. The cafe is huge, boring & bland. They should cut the Garden out of the title and call themselves a One Stop Gift Centre. There are shed displays & a Hobbycraft on the same site. Plenty of parking. read more

Haskins is on the outskirts of PooleYou could easly spend 2 to 3 hours here if you include a stop in the cafeAs well as garden plants and trees They do some amazing garden furniture mainly wooden very expensive But definately worth dreaming you had the money, big enough garden and british weather to give you an excuse to buy. Haskins is placed next to Hobbycraft on a little island of their own next to a roundabout. There is a wide variety of products for sale as well as a very nice cafe that sells lovely cakes, however is very expensive so not an everyday cafe. I find the range of plants and flowers available too much for my limited gardening mind and I get very confused when I visit, but for a gardener you will love this flowery paradise. The prices are slightly higher than average compared to other garden centres but if you're looking to get everything under one roof then I would suggest you visit here. There is ample free parking and plenty of helpful staff to carry items to your car if you need help. read more

This place is a gardener's dream. You could lose several hours looking round, from the summer houses in the front car park to the conservatory furniture, gifts, pet care and then leading out to a large plant area at the back of the store. The cafe is good value and is a nice place to stop and decide on your final purchases. I particularly recommend the Chirstmas shop which arrives each November is one of the largest in the area. read more

Great Sunday Carvery, Lovely Costa Coffee and free wifi!

A friend recently left work and we organised afternoon tea for her. There was about 18 of us and the manager very kindly managed to squeeze is in even thought they had a very large group of people in the function room at the same time. The afternoon tea was wonderful, great selection of sandwiches and cakes all served with unlimited tea and coffee. Our colleague thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and we have decided to make it annual event! Many thanks to all those involved! read more

I make and annual visit to Haskins in November to look at the Christmas shop , which is sizeable. I usually buy a couple of new things and the displays are lovely. I find the rest of haskins like a big gift shop and the whole atmosphere is bland. Plenty of parking and the area is shared with Hobbycraft. Never tried the cafe but it doesn't look too inspiring a place. I am not into gardening but the outside plant area always looks nice, although some of them are very expensive! read more

Disappointed with Haskins since they changed to a massive restaurant, if you want coffee within 10 minutes this is not the place to go. Dirty outside tables and quality of food not very good. Seemed to me like the staff were not motivated. Plenty of things to look at though, ideal for gifts etc but bit pricey some of it. read more
