When my iPhone was corrupted by a buggy update from Apple, it became inaccessible and needed to be connected to a Mac in order to be factory reset. I don't own a Mac. I don't have access to a Mac. So took the phone along to the tech support desk at HN as an urgent job (for which I was to be charged an arm and a leg but hey you do what you do to get your phone working as quickly as possible). Booked in at 10am, they said they would get onto it straight away and to come back for it after 1pm. However upon returning at 2pm I was told "it isn't quite ready" which I then discovered meant it hadn't been started. Four hours just sitting on a desk - I could easily have driven the thing up to an Apple store in Sydney in that time. Never again Harvey Norman. read more

Paid $150 for dishwasher install. On the day delivery was promised, the installer (3rd party) pulled out last minute due to an alleged communications error with the store. I had taken my last annual leave day off work to wait for this, and it was wasted due to their incompetent communications. Waited an additional 2 weeks past this date for the installer to come. On the day it finally arrived, a Harvey Norman rep told us it would arrive first thing in the morning as we were 'first on the list'. It arrived in the afternoon instead, and the 3rd party installer told us Harvey Norman tell every customer that they're 'first on the list', and that he had gone to two other customers prior, who were also 'first on the list'. Installation did not occur as this same Harvey Norman rep had not properly communicated to the installer what our plumbing specifications were and they didn't bring the correct pipe.
