I have eaten at cafes and restaurants on five continents now. Little did I know that one of the…read morefinest (the finest which comes to mind right now) is in the suburb where I live. I have been coming to 'Provence Garden Cafe' for many years now. The menu is sizable but not overwhelming, the food is good, the atmosphere with greenery and a rock pool with fish in the corner is excellent. The best thing about this place, however, is the service. In the many years I have been coming, I only had one poor experience. I noticed the waitress on that occasion was not present thereafter. I constantly give tips which is not something I do often. There is no pretension, attention is easy to obtain yet privacy at other times is given. In short, they are always accommodating and respectful. Yes the owner and the staff are Asian but their understanding of English is ample to run a cafe. Oh, and no music (let alone blaring). I also love the fact that it is a business in its own right i.e. outside a shopping centre. It is also close to Eastwood train station which has a busy bus stop alongside it. Note: this does not affect the cafe as it is surprisingly well insulated against sound. I am thankful to 'Yelp' for giving us (i.e. me in this instance) an opportunity to communicate all the above to others. I am also thankful to the owner(s) and staff (over the years) for keeping this business open - and for keeping it up over such a lengthy period of time. Thank-you reader for your time and attention.

We like it cause it gives you lots of options and the portion size is quite hefty. We like the atmosphere cause it's outside and the people are great, but one thing is that the language barier is a little short. Other than that the food is great and I think the pictures should speak for themselves.

Been looking for an excuse to try out The Station in Wahroonga since it took over from the previous…read more(forgettable) cafe, and was interested to see it's a Gabriel cafe. While there was no single origin coffee on offer, the mac I had was surprisingly good. Character notes other than chocolate and nuts are rare in blends from the larger roasters, but this one managed to avoid the over roasted taint, and still retain a nice blend of sweetness and acidity. Obviously I would prefer a black coffee option like a single origin coffee, but this cafe is finally a viable option in Wahroonga. Passion: 7/10 Crema: 7/10 Coffee: Gabriel

In all honesty I prefer the Butcher's Block - but this cafe does come at a close second. The coffee here is from Gabriel's. And sadly no single origin beans are on offer. The brew a nice cup either way. But I think the pull here is not the coffee, but rather the food. The food here is a good - I've only come for breakfast. They generally don't do any take away food, so this is more of a sit down place. The beacon, egg and avo toast is good, and the homemade oats are really good. Just a warning this place is small, and most of the times the tables are reserved. So either reserve before hand or be prepared to wait for a table. The staff here are friendly, and constantly apologize to you if you are waiting. So even though not as good as the Butcher's Block, it is still worth a visit.
