The other company wanted to charge me over $2200 to replace my expansion tank, pressure relief valve, and purge my gas boiler. I was dumbfounded. I visited Coles and explained to the nice young lady at the desk what I needed done and about the other plumber. She told me yes, they were cheaper, and the following day, she sent me a quote. My jaw dropped on how much cheaper Coles was charging. Chris came over. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was going to do before doing anything to the boiler. If he ran into a hiccup, he would inform me before doing anything. I really appreciated that. He considered me and not do whatever without discussing it with me. Chris replaced several valves, replaced the expansion tank, cleaned the boiler, replaced a thermostat, and purged the boiler and the cost was much less than half of what the other company wanted to charge me. Coles was honest, reasonable, professional, courteous. If only more businesses were like that. May God bless abundantly the Coles business, their families, everyone who works for them. On January 30, 2026 I had an oil tank service company inspect my system where there found a drip coming from one of the oil burners. There was no "active" dripping indicating that it was a very, very slow drip that had soaked the absorption pad placed under the burner by the J.P.Parks service technician three months earlier. After contacting J.P.Parks regarding this, their response was less than satisfactory, blaming me for not regularly inspecting their work for proper performance, and telling me that there would be a $160 charge for them to correct the leak. (See text message screenshots). Apparently, if this company is used, the customer is responsible for assuring the work has been properly performed, and is responsible and liable if it has not. This company also scheduled an oil tank service appointment with me and then blew me off with no explanation in the middle of the worst weeklong cold snap we've had in years. UPDATE: 1/31/26. So I had to have another company come to service the burner to fix the leak. The technician showed me the "gun" which is where oil is atomized for ignition, and is the most important part that needs to be properly cleaned when maintenance is oerformed. They sent a man out, charged me an hour labor for him to take the panel off the furnace and tell me that the motor needed replacing. A few days later they call me and tell me it will be over $700 to replace the motor. The motor itself they said was $475, and then two hours of labor and "travel expenses" even though they're located THREE miles from my home. A quick google search of the company that makes the furnace reveals the part in reality only costs $120. On top of that, it's three screws and a couple of wires to install. Basically a do-it-yourself job. These jokers wanted to gouge me for $350 on the actual motor and TWO HOURS of labor at $120 an hour for three screws and a couple of wires. DO NOT call this company unless you like to hemorrhage money for no reason.
