I grew up in this church; the old church and then the new church opened when I entered college…read more It's a "hospital" for the spiritually sick and a "gym" to strengthen our journey to Heaven. That being said; we all have our own quirks and baggage which can be heavy at times. The gospel being read during mass can literally wake one up to their ways or fall on deaf ears, depending on where a person is on their respective journey and the support they receive in their desire for growth. The Tuesday night Marian mass here has helped me learn about how to heal my family tree, and has opened my eyes to things that might be holding someone back for their healing. From trauma, to generational things, to wounds that they weren't meant to carry but do..... the list goes on. These prayers outside of the ordinary mass can be a vessel to help take the scales off from one's eyes to see more clearly. It's healthy to wonder, "What might have happened to that person," or, "What has happened to that person," to lead them to act that way or say what they said? Anyhow... yes, no church is perfect. In the same token; no hospital is perfect and no gym is perfect. A person at the gym is there to work out even if they dabble with the occasional entire cheesecake. I'm at church even if people say this, that, or the other. I hope we can all focus on what we're doing on our journeys, not necessarily what the other person is doing - after all, God's going to be judging me for what I do. Not what the other person is doing. Please pray for me, and I will pray for you.... as life is difficult with many crosses. Onwards to Heaven, from this very moment, on! Like all organizations, there are competing factions that have their little power bases. I choose to point how we're one family and challenge the "us" and "them" mentality. It's amazing how calling this out quicly shows us how selfish we are myself included. I would highly recommend that people find things they're passionate about and become involved through the parish; because there is a huge need and the Church is involved in virtually everything, and you get to meet some outstanding people when you get involved.

I have been attending the Garden on Sunday's off and on for several months. Everyone seems to be…read morenice and cordial. Be very careful where you park your Harley or other two wheel ride. Today I thought I was late and parked in the cross hatch's in front. Not a single no parking sign of any kind and the nearest handicap parking slot was 30 feet away. I was also in direct line of sight of the two security men at the front door who watched me pull in, take off my PPE and walk to the front. I was given a hello and a nod as I walked in. After getting a cup of coffee and saying hello to a friend, I wandered back toward the front doors and caught a glimpse of my Harley. It had been moved. Completely shocked I approached the huge Security boy and asked if he had moved my bike. Yes he replied without emotion "someone needed to get in their vehicle". I glanced out at my Harley and there was another 30 feet open two the right of my bike. If I had locked the bike who knows how far they would have gone.

I have seen dozens of baptisms, worship leaders who love Jesus and are Spirit filled guiding us to worship our Savior Jesus Christ! Pastor Micah and the whole team do great work for the Lord bringing the Truth of the Gospel to a world in need of Truth in the form of Jesus Christ our Lord. I find myself thinking all week about what he says because he brings God's Word to life where I can relate, touches and shapes me into wanting to be more like Jesus. You do need to get into a slide group so you're even more connected with people.
