The church itself was open, modern and spacious. They have a young Deacon here. That's a good thing as he will be around for awhile. This helps with growing a family feel for a parish. There is a children's room, which I love as it affords parents and children to participate in mass, without distracting the whole congregation when baby may not feel like being cooperative. The gift shop is full of the necessary items like rosaries, baptism kits, and brown scapulars! My favorite part of this church? When mass was over, half of the parishioners stayed back and chatted in the wait area, and there wasn't even hospitality. I came out of mass smiling.

He preaches from the NASB because it is closest to the original Greek. His messages are about Biblical principals and the reasons for them. He gives historical context, so I can relate to my perspective from today. He believes in GOD first, husband next, wife, then children - without ANY chauvinism or arrogance. He believes in Jesus CHRIST the Messiah with no exception and no apology. The King IS coming and Pastor Jacob is leading his flock to Him with such passion! By God's grace and Jacob's leadership, I have gone from an arrogant doctor looking for a church that could serve ME, to a humble child of the King, yearning to learn and grow to be more like my Savior. I want to serve Reliance and my brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to join their community and invite others to come alongside us.
