I had a consultation, which went very well, for a large job (multiple aspects to the job). I was told he would submit a proposal in less than two weeks. Instead he ghosted me. I sent texts and made numerous phone calls and he ignored me completely. So unbelievably unprofessional. If you do not want to do the job, for whatever reason, AFTER you met with the homeowner, just tell the person instead of leaving them hanging. Karma is real. When the economic downturn inevitably hits, this type of business owner will feel it first. read more

A very dishonest person posing as a landscaper. I was misguided in hiring the services of this "landscaper." I had to remove from my front yard two large trees which threatened to damage my house foundation and the City utility equipment. When that was done, my front yard needed to be re-turfed. I looked online for a local landscaper and opted to hire: adam@harvelllandscaping.com. I was given a verbal estimate that I accepted and he started to clean up the front yard. It was a slow process as he did not have all the required tools. When the ground was level, the landscaper brought in a truckfull of sod. It looks a little tired and worse for wear, but I thought that it would pick-up with the appropriate care. What I discovered was that the load must have been some reject as three days after it was laid down; I started to see several large bright orange patches on my grass. I mentally blamed some wandering dog and tried to water the area to dilute the urine. I also took photos and sent them to the contractor asking for help, as more patches appeared. I did not get any help, just a few comments by email. Two weeks later I had a terrible looking front yard full of dead patches. A kind neighbor told me the situation: My front yard was full of raging fungus. A recommended friend of Adam Harvell showed up to cut and "treat" the grass but he asked to use my mower, and I know why now! These two scammers charged me $2115.00 to contaminate my yard and $95.00 to cut a 30x30 front yard using my mower. To date, I have a moth-eaten front grass and I do not know what to do about it. I had a very clean front yard for 16 years, now it is a disaster. KEEP AWAY from these people, they are utterly dishonest. read more
