The team at Rest Haven is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we connected with them,…read moreit was clear that we were in the hands of people who genuinely care, not just about the logistics, but about the people they serve and the emotions involved. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail were evident in every single interaction. Everything was flawlessly organized from beginning to end. They took the time to listen, understand our wishes, and personalize every aspect of the service to reflect exactly what we wanted. Their communication was consistent and reassuring, which brought us so much peace during a very difficult time. Victoria, in particular, was truly exceptional. She treated our loved one with the utmost dignity and respect, and her calm, caring presence made all the difference. On the day of the service, every detail was beautifully executed. We didn't have to worry about a thing, they took care of it all, allowing us to focus on honoring and remembering our loved one. We are forever grateful for the incredible care and support we received. Rest Haven made an incredibly hard moment feel manageable--and even beautiful.

I live out of state and he helped me every step of the way until I was able to finally meet with him right before the funeral. My biggest wish was for her to be buried next to a tree. Gabriel took us to see the lot, and she was to be buried next to a willow tree which happens to be my mom's favorite. It was just perfect. Thank you to Resthaven for making this process easier for us.

Perhaps it was just the "salesperson " we met with. We felt that we were talking to a used car…read moresalesman rather than a funeral director. So glad we met and decided to use the services of Burrier-Queen. They treated us like family and provided lovely and compassionate service.

Stay away from Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick MD. No one in my family was pleased with the…read moreservices they provided. Not only are they overpriced, but none of the people working there seemed to know what they were doing. When we arrived to make arrangements for my brother, my daughter, niece, and I were ushered down the hall into a room where another family's viewing was going one. Very awkward moment for us and the other family. When we explained why we were there, we were told that my brother was not there, and they had nothing scheduled for him. We were in a panic - not knowing where my brother's body was. After checking, they did come back and tell us they did have him, and they put us in a room with a fella who when over options using very antiquated equipment - and an overhead projection that you could not even read. After making the arrangements, things only got worse. Every single time we came to the funeral home, the employees acted like they were not expecting us at all. At one point, we were (mistakenly) told that my brother's body was going to be cremated before his daughter had the opportunity to see him and say goodby. We all lost sleep worrying that they might do it anyway. None of the people working there came across as being empathetic. Nore were they very helpful with setting things up in the room for viewings. My family did most of the work. My daughter said they were even pressing her to have us wrap things up early at one of the viewings. Worst service and experience ever.

Headline: Unprofessional, unaccountable, & disorganized…read more It's incredibly unfortunate that in honoring my sister's life, there were a number of issues that the Rollins team created, which I have noted below. I tried to not make this review too long; but the back-and-forth I've had with these people, who refuse to take accountability for poor service, left me and my family with insult on top of injury as we grieved my sister. No family should have to experience this. During the service, the Rollins team was nowhere to be found when it was time to close the casket. This created an awkward moment of moving on with the program, while also asking another guest in attendance to search for their staff. I would have expected a team member to remain in the back of the room to ensure the program flowed seamlessly. We experienced A/V glitches throughout the program, where guests sitting in the back and listening over live-stream could not hear portions of the program. Prayer cards were NOT delivered on the day of service; and when they were delivered post-service, the incorrect photo was used and the sizing much larger than what was shown to us in our planning meeting at the Rollins Center. They finally re-printed the cards with the correct photo - the cards were flimsy paper that I had to laminate myself at my own expense. I also had to send the cards to loved ones at my own expense, as they were neither ordered nor delivered as promised for the service. The Rollins team refused to offer a refund for not delivering the cards on the day of service, as agreed-upon verbally and in writing. Their lack of empathy and poor business acumen was clear as they asserted that my family should assume financial responsibility for their mistake, and their refusal to take responsibility for that. At one point, Shirlene (Rollins staff) told me that I should just go print prayer cards on my own; the idea of my doing this a month after my sister passed away was an incredible emotional burden, and an insensitive solution that was given in lieu of her wanting to take responsibility for making this right and correcting her mistake. My parents were called by the Rollins office to pick up cremains, and they did. However the cremains were not deposited in the urns that we ordered. I had to email to point out the fact that they were not deposited in the urns we ordered, so we had to return twice to bring back the cremains and then to pick them up once deposited in the urns. As a Black family who believes strongly in supporting Black-owned businesses, it's even more disheartening when our patronage is taken for granted with sub-par service. We all deserve so much better, as do our dear loved ones.
