Excellent Dr. and staff. Was seen last year, but due to family, I was unable to continue with his care. I am now able to continue care with him, and cannot get through by phone, I have called several times, and cannot get through. The quality of care I got from Dr Hart was excellent. His staff was excellent as well, very caring, and concerned, about their patients. I still want to continue my care with him and his staff. Dr Hart, his staff are all awesome. I don,t know what is going at his office it seems to be closed they just put you on hold and then hang up after a period of time.

no respect of time even w appt takes 2-2.5 hrs to get in and out. would have to call telehealth never called back on time sometimes didnt call. office would mess up calling prescriptions or listen to me when say taking more bp meds then call for them to fix cha would answer would explain their mistake he'd say sorry need make appt but i was just in i would have to go back and forth cha was rude and hung up on me multiple times. hart referred me to bad people specifically han who was negative after stroke. asked for a stroke dr but hart wrote me off as disabled w no belief i could improve at 4 months. hart would not listen when said particular meds were not working for me. also didnt trust his judgment. revolving door of office staff. someone tried to burn down his office which was a strange office with antiques so his office is now boot barn concrete floor with office cubicles lack privacy. last time highly inappropriate i could see dr lifting weights while his assistant waited outside cubicle to show him my ekg. i confronted cha for hanging up on me i had a stroke cant afford incompetence - cha whispered in dr's ear so dr sent me a withdrawal from care letter. i was looking anyway. read more

I had an amazing doctor who unfortunately passed away and was referred to Dr. Hart. I can't say much about him as he's missed every appointment we've scheduled. His office staff are the most incompetent people I've ever come across. I've been trying to get a hold of them for weeks. Place you on hold for 30 minutes, then hang up and don't answer when you call back multiple times. I'd only refer this place to my worst enemies. read more

He is a doctor who takes advantage of his patients. He doesn't refill prescriptions. It takes about two weeks from the pharmacy calling and yourself to get him to fill it. He sets phone appointments and never calls. There is always an hour or two wait. As you're waiting you hear him laughing and joking with his staff. During this pandemic, he doesn't wear a mask!! AND his office doesn't have mask to offer to it's patients. His clerk had to offer one from her purse that was hers!! If your test come back good, he still has you come in and wait for two hours to have him come in for two minutes to tell you everything is good. It's sad because he once was a good doctor. Dr. Hart is a nice guy but he runs a HORRIBLE practice. Waited 2 months for a referral to an orthopedic doc and nothing. No return calls. Called and asked several times. You are guaranteed 90 min wait unless you see him at 6am. He started me on medication that was an insanely high dose and made it very apparent how affiliated he is with a certain prescription because he mentioned multiple times how important it was that I received the name brand. My boyfriend was diagnosed with Asthma and had been struggling, made an appointment and they never called the meds in. He called, was placed on hold for 37 minutes all to be told the doc was off and wouldn't be back until the following week. To remedy they would just renew the old meds to get him through the week... went to pick it up and they only did 3 out of the 4 for his BREATHING!! Ronald Hart had a good reputation several years ago but his practice leaves much to be desired. Patients have to wait hours to have him actually take them even if they have an appointment. It's wrong for his office people manage appointments because they have no work ethics. Prescriptions are not sent in a timely manner to the pharmacies. He will never provide his patients a refill prescription unless they have labs taken. He has the very senior patients waiting outside until it's their turn. It is possible that they wait two maybe three hours before they are called and that's if the girls in the office remember! This guy needs to have his license pulled. His place is filthy and he will spend no more than five minutes with patients. They lose results from outside vendors so that he has to repeat any tests and charges Medicare or MediCal twice! He sets up video conferencing but the girls forget to call the patients! I could go on but I won't. I hope his license is pulled before someone has very serious problems. read more

I like Dr Hart, and I wish I had a better review for him. First of all, his front desk lady's don't have a clue what they are doing. They are honestly just there to look pretty because they really serve no purpose. I've been hung up on, I've had them not call me back for an appointment, and there communication lacks! Another thing is that when you make an appointment, you end up waiting there for over an hour just to wait in the waiting room for another 45 minutes. I have gotten up and left on multiple occasions. Doctor Hart is nice but the way he does business is very shady and not professional. We went in for my husband to get a physical and to get what we thought was a mole looked at. When we went in they told up that we still had to pay the deductible of $45 because this was his first appointment so they wouldn't bill the insurance for a physical just a regular appointment. Our insurance would have cover the deductible for a physical. We waited over 1 1/2 hours past our appointment time to be seen and finally had to go out of the room and tell them we needed to leave because my husband had to get back to work. Finally the doctor came in look at my husband and talked to us for a few minutes and addressed our concerns. He ordered labs on my husband which our insurance covers once a year. We went back a few weeks later for the results, had to pay another $45 for our deductible and again waited over 1 1/2 hours past our appointment time and had to remind them we were waiting in the room. The doctor literally took 5 minutes to give us the results and then left (he could have done that over the phone!!!). If he were to do that though they wouldn't get the $45. A few weeks later we get a bill from Boston Heart Diagnostic for $217 for my husband's labs which should habe been covered by our insurance. I called the company and the doctor had sent them to a diagnostic lab that was out of network even though I checked that the doctor and services were in network for our insurance. The company did a full panel of test on the blood (way more than is needed for annual labs and why it was so expensive). They had billed our insurance $4,000 which we would have been responsible for had I not called and fixed it with our insurance (which is a totally different issue). I called the Dr. Harts office (in tears because I'm 9 months pregnant and we really couldn't afford another doctor bill) to see why the tests were ordered when we were told they were just running annual labs. The Asian guy who works at the front desk got very defensive and said Dr. Hart has them run for every new patient and it was a requirement. Apparently they don't have to inform you of this but we have to pay for it. He was very off putting to me and my concerns about the bill and said it was up to us to deal with it. I asked him to cancel our future appointment because we didn't want to do business with people who would treat their patients this way. He said thats just fine in anger and hung up on me. An incredibly warm staff to go with an incredibly wonderful doctor. Dr. Hart has the bedside manor I wish more doctors had because getting bad health news is horrible but this man has a gentle soul that eases concerns. He offered options for my condition that no one had offered before which resulted in a better life. An actual better life. They have their own phlebotomy tech who drew my blood twice this year and both times were so painless I didn't know the needle was in my arm until I opened my eyes lol. Completely amazing in every aspect: employees, care and commitment to each patient. I'm so impressed that a review seems silly but I so highly recommend them that I could scream it from the roof. Yes~ Dr. Hart himself seems very nice once he finally gets to you.The nurse practitioner staffing that he HAD was extremely professional and caring but they are gone now... I will add also that some Doctor's are unaware of how their own offices are running until a patient (or 20+++) has the balls to speak up. See Bethany's post ~ Same BS happened with my husband seeing Dr. Hart. not to mention the absolutely Insane turnover of medical staff and office staff. The wait times are also beyond any normal professional medical office. The billing service regularly bills incorrectly and cannot even seem to post payments made in office to the right patient. Even with a receipt requested for each payment, I have had to prove I made payments later. Do NOT pay that lab bill it if it is Health Diagnostics Lab. Call your insurance co and report your issues. Document everything. Be a Beast~ We all hope and tend to assume Medical Doctors and their staff will provide us the care we need. Sadly this is not always true. Informed Dr. of this, and was told he didn't want to deal with the hassle to continuing to treat me and suggested that I find another Dr.? Gee, thanks. What a caring guy. If you're not worried that your condition may carry an unpopular social stigma in the future, you may feel ok trusting Dr. Hart with your well-being. Similar experience as reviewer Steve b. Previous doctor had a diagnosis and had me on meds. Insurance changes meant I had to find a new doctor, so I decided to try Dr Hart. Hart Didn't even bother to assess symptoms in anyway. Just came into the room and said I don't prescribe pain meds for more than a few days, I don't think depression medication at current level is appropriate. LEt's cut it in half. It was clear to me that his first concern was not my health or care, but guarding his license. Ridiculous because I had only one med that even was a carefully monitored substance, and it was a reallly low dose. It was all about him. I have been looking for a primary doctor for a while and when I called dr. Hart's office they were taking on new patients so I figured I would give him a try. My first visit was okay. I waited in the waiting outside waiting room 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment, then and additional hour in the private room to be seen by the doctor. 1 hour and 45 minutes past my scheduled time! So very frustrating but I figured maybe it was just one of those days as I know how busy doctors can be. Dr. Hart himself was very nice. In my second visit I had the same issue as the first, my appointment was at 9am and I was not seen u till 11:00am, 2 hours past my scheduled visit for a simple check up. I was so frustrated. Just recently I went in to turn in some FMLA paper work for the time that I was out of work and seen by dr. Hart. The employees at the front desk were so rude! I was thinking that I could just drop off my FMlA paper work and they would fax it in for me or I could come by later to pick it up but instead They told me that I had to make another appointment and pay to be seen by Dr. Hart again!! I asked if I could speak to dr. Hart about the matter and they told me he didn't have time to see me. What a horrible practice you are running! Trying to charge me to be seen for no reason and not even having 60 seconds out of your Day to speak to me about an important matter, you should be ashamed! Dr. Hart is very nice BUT the practice sucks. I have never had an appointment that I didn't wait at least 45 minutes. That is no exaggeration, in fact, I am probably being conservative. I went to Dr. Hart the end of October of 2016 with back pain. He said he would order me an MRI. January of 2017 comes around and still no MRI. I go back to see him in January because the pain is getting much worse. I told him he had ordered me an MRI in October but I never heard a thing about it. This time an MRI was done. I went back for the results and was told I had a pretty big tumor on one of my vertebrae. Instead of ordering a biopsy or anything else he referred me to Orthopedists at UCSF. The earliest appointment I was able to get was for March 23rd. That is over 5 months from the first time I went to him with the issue. I was in ridiculous pain. Repeated trips to the ER because it was unbearable. I am not a pill popper so my goal was not to get pain meds. Whenever he would order anything that would require insurance pre-approval it would never get done. An order was placed that needed a pre-approval. Two weeks after the order I called the practice and asked what the status was. The front desk gentleman said they were still waiting on the insurance company. I called the insurance company and they had no record at all regarding that order. Later that afternoon I called the insurance company and the order was just placed that day after I called the office. That happened a few times. After barely surviving the pain until March I finally had to call 911 and get taken to the hospital. The pain was unimaginable. After they helped me I went to a different Dr, THAT DAY. That very night I was in Rideout Hospital getting the ball rolling. Turns out I had/have cancer. Why could he not have done anything worthwhile about this? The agony I was in because he didn't have the ability to do what was right for his patient. His staff that is responsible for pre-approvals should be fired. The other staff are very nice. The dude at the front desk is awful which also happens to be the one for the pre-approvals. NEVER will I go back to him. I have and will always discourage anyone from going to him. I know of two other people who USED TO go to him and couldn't get anything done. They both had cancer also. I can't tell their story because it would be hearsay. STAY AWAY!!! read more

If I could give NO stars I would! STEER CLEAR!! This guy is a joke. I have never been treated by a doctor like he treated me. When I first walked into his so called office I was shocked. Its a converted mexican restaurant that is full of ratty looking antiques. When I was put in a waiting room there wasnt any paper to sit on & I waited 25 minutes. This was my first visit with this guy, I had just moved to the area & he was pretty much the only doctor taking new patients. I told him a few of my issues & told him there was a medication I have been taking for years that I wanted to stop, but not until my son was moving here in November. He said he could help wean me & when he told me his plan I questioned his methods because I felt it was too quick & I was concerned about side effects. I also voiced my concerns about the dosage of thyroid medication he wanted to put me on because it had never been that low before. I asked if he could send me to an endocrinologist since that is who had been treating me prior. When I was checking out, the secretary handed me a letter & said Dr Hart doesnt want to be your doctor. I was shocked & said "you mean he wont even come out & talk to me & tell me why? He wont even face me?" They just said the letter explained it. This so called doctor doesnt want to treat me but called in a prescription for a lesser dosage of the medication I told him I wanted to be weaned from in November!!!! He started the weaning process and then says I wont treat you??!!! What the Hell kind of doctor takes a person off a medication they've been taking for years without monitoring their reaction? I already know I'm going to have major issues while tapering off & I'm really scared about it, which is why I wanted to wait until my son was here. Dr Hart didnt hear me at all & just did what he wanted. I did find another doctor but couldnt get an appointment for quite a while. Dr Hart's recommendation was to call 911 if I have complications.
