Hart & Heim has to be one of my new favourite discoveries! The store stocks wacky gifts and knick knacks which are bound to make laughable presents or great collectibles! Surprisingly, everything is inexpensive despite its WOW factor. I purchased a tea infuser in the shape of a silver robot as a present for a tea loving friend (see picture). She is bound to love this original and very cute gift! I will definitely be back in the near future to stock up on presents. I am often stuck for birthday ideas, but this place takes the hassle out of selecting an interesting gift. To give you an idea of the interesting items they sell- Scrabble mugs, slogan pillows, funny iPhone covers- and so on are a few examples. Hart & Heim is a place to go when you're looking for a gift for someone who likes 'fad modern' housy things or silly cheap yet designer type stuff. Stuff. That's a pretty lucid word but that's what I think when I walk into this shop - 'oh, more stuff to buy for the novelty of it and then not really love or be useful for much.' I'm sure some of the things are useful - like the funny man cork stoppers or the felt snowflake cut out bench protectors or the crazy shaped lamps. Not a fan of the thin ply wood raindeer heads on the wall or the odd sized multi coloured letters. I guess it's just not my style. I would shop here for my 20 year old step brother who likes gimmicky things or if I needed a silly secret santa present. Ooo there was one thing I might have bought for myself - the plain smooth white tea pot with the swallow sitting on the lid. Yes, that was sweet. read more

never step into hart n heim unless you want to pay for overpriced items.you can get it from the store called spoilt for so much cheaper. i went there to get a refund for 2 items i bought on the same day.I saw a shop just down the street with a much lower price than them.I went to ask for a refund the lady would not let.She even called me crazy when i asked if i could get more than the discount stated,because my whole purpose was to get the money back,but was rejected,so I forced myself to buy something out of the store which i didnt really need.terribly rude to loyal customers.overpriced and deserves to be closed down. read more
