They do have some interesting beer / spirits tastings now and again which you should try and fit in your schedule if you are in the area, which I think takes place on saturday afternoons. Enough about the beer. Even though their menu sometimes can feel a bit static it does change from time to time and the food they have on offer is usually of high quality. My recommendation is to try the mussels or any of the risottos since they have been the dishes that seem to be quite consistent in quality. Even though I really appreciate the fact that they offer a vegetarian alternative, since I don't eat meat, the quorn filets are usually quite dry. Go with a salad or another veggie option instead. Sometimes live bands (more in the line of a lone singer songwriter covering famous tunes) play but it is not something to write home about. They have screens were they sometimes show football and on certain days they do music quizzes.

We bellied up to the small bar in the back and were well taken care of by very friendly bartenders. We ordered two local pilsners and were not disappointed. Cool, clean crisp and refreshing. If I lived here this would be my spot.

Back inside, people were playing a pool-type game called skomar billard, per my bartender. It involves mini bowling pins set up in a configuration in the center of the pool table. They have a good beer list, including some local items that I doubt we'll ever get anywhere else on earth. I had a very tasty shrimp and rocket pizza, with lots of delicious little perfectly salted shrimps (how do they peel those?), as well as a steak sandwich that was tender (I hate pulling all the meat out from between the bread on the first bite) and flavorful with good fresh veggie toppings. The wait staff in particular were always super friendly, and really helpful recommending the local beers that we couldn't possibly have tried before. It's like they could tell we weren't from nearby. The place was usually doing a business too, maybe because it's one of the later night spots, but I actually think it's just a cool place. Lots of covered outdoor seating, with trick adjustable glass windows if you need to block the wind, plus heaters if you need them. Just a nice spot.

If you ARE interested in good craft beers add one of the amazing beers on tap. You'll find something for almost every palate on the beer list. Never heard about Barski or Marcus Hjalmarsson, then you should definitely stop by. You'll never forget either again. And this place will definitely be on you "to do" list on every future visit. Most recently I tried Brewski's "Proto 36 w/ Raspberry & Mango". Best described as an alcoholic berry smoothie (for adults only). Darn perfect for a sunny day. Though this is only one kind in a line of stouts, IPA's etc. I've never left disappointed. Gives it 5 out of 5.

The location is to die for, it's placed…read morejust along the river Nissan (and actually ON the river with some of the docks) and you can basically dangle your legs over the water. I have eaten here and the food was ok, nothing to write home about, but going here for a few drinks with friends, admiring the view is worth a lot. The staff is friendly and the interior is very Swedish summerhousy (yes, I made that word up) with white furniture, table cloths and a lot of bright colours. The beer and wine selection is limited, it's quite a small "bar" but they do have an IPA and a pilsner from Gotland on tap and some more bottled drinks. Last time we were here it was late at night plus there was a super moon out and we sat on the dock just centimeters above the water, nothing can beat that feeling. So if you're in Halmstad during summer, this is the place to go!
