The only negative reviews I could find were from over seven years ago, and they're completely out of sync with the experience I had. I first visited for breakfast, and it was incredible. I'm a bit of a bacon connoisseur, and the bacon here was easily the best I've had in a long time. It was perfectly crispy and flavorful without being greasy. I was so impressed that I came back for dinner. I had the ribeye special, and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly to my order, a beautiful medium rare, and every bite was tender and delicious. It came with a baked potato that was fluffy on the inside, and loaded with all the fixings. The service was top-notch as well, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. This restaurant is clearly doing something right and has been for a while. Don't let those old reviews fool you--the Sherman Inn Restaurant is a must-try.

Apparently this place has been around since the sixties and has been treating locals to a proper local beef burger and soft serve ever since! They also have a lot more than that to offer, as the menu is as tall as the building it's glued to. I saw Mac 'n cheese bites as an option. Imagine what the first Dairy Queen or Sonic was probably like before mass production and freezing everything for distribution. The vanilla soft serve is SO good (the chocolate has a faint powder taste to it). The cold front option is just like a blizzard, with as many add-ins as you wish and nestle cookie dough straight from the tub. It's hard to have a burger in Scobey that isn't delicious because the meat is raised down the same road, but it's awesome to know they take the time to share it with the rest of us! Just be aware they usually close by 8 pm and will close on a Saturday so they can also enjoy the fair festivities. If you find yourself flying across the Great Plains of Montana and want a fresh burger and or a sweet stop, you'll be happy when you drive up and see the open sign is still facing out.

The woman I placed my order with was just swatting them away from her face, as if this was "normal". If there's that many flies in the lobby, imagine how many are in the kitchen where the food is? There were dirty, sweaty, barefoot people just hanging out inside. Had NO food/drink, just sitting/hanging out with seriously nasty dirty feet. Then, another dirty sweaty guy came in and begged everyone for money. We were there so Hubby could get a soda, but it was warm, and the thought that a dirty employee added more ice (to the machine) which was visited by flies, in a fly friendly bucket was just too disgusting. As we left, we saw a group of 4 dirty, sweaty, (a few) shirtless men walking across the street to go in.

Been coming here everyday for breakfast and also had lunch here too. If your looking for good home cooking this is the place!!!! Best hash brown I have ever had!!! And I'm saying even better than the ones I cook at home. Have to get it with all the fixings, which is the cowboy skillet!!! They have hot hot hot coffee and it is so good!! They also have a little pastry pantry which is filled some good homemade goodies. It is just a nice little restaurant that makes you feel warm inside like your at home and moms cooking!!!
