I have to say, it was reasonable with regard to price, and there was lots of choice on offer as well as the place being very spacious - some of these furniture places cram in too many items in my opinion, making it difficult to be able to see the wood from the trees. But, not in this place, she got everything she needed, and a few things that she didn't too!

(Some of the ex-demos can vary from tattered settees at knockdown prices to discounted 'as new') Staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and did not push accessories or after-care warranties as some of the tackier English-based sofa chains that have made inroads to the N.I. market. Delivery occured when promised, a great sofa for the price and feels very solid, should last a great many years!

I've never bought anything from here personally but I can remember wondering around here as a kid in the cramped store full of items on display, whilst my mum haggled with the owner about a new bed or wardrobe. That's the best thing about these type of places. Haggling! The big chain stores don't use this old school skill and it takes a lot out of the store buying experience! My mum could always get a bargain with her skills and this place let her! They deliver all over Belfast and the extra charge is barely worth taking note of! All these little things help it stay afloat and take on the big dogs! I've just recently got a new apartment and I'll be visiting here soon.

This is a charity shop with a difference and frankly, was a bit of a god send to me whenever I…read morerecently moved to a new apartment that was dangerously empty when I got there. Unlike most other charity shops this one accepts and sells a lot of furniture and house hold appliances for shocking cheap prices, compared to what they would actually cost brand new. I got a full sized book case and coffee table from this place for around £45 all together which is great value, and they are in perfect condition. If your moving into a new place and need a lot of furniture for less or are just looking for a bargain, this is the place to go!

They sell the standard clothes, hats, shoes, belts etc that all others do, but there's also a very wide selection of books and plenty of furniture and electrical stuff in great nick at great prices. My best bargains picked up there, apart from the many books, were a tie belt for 50p, and a full length grey Kookai coat for just eight quid. I got loads of compliments on both from other laydees who wanted to know where I'd bought them, and who were invariably disappointed when I told them. Even my mum's friends made a point of complimenting the coat, a true rarity for any item of my wardrobe. (It very nearly put me off it.) While most charity shops are of the 'call in as I go past' variety, the SVDP one is one I'd recommend getting on a bus for if you're not from the area. In fact, I think I'll take a run up there on Monday.

Hectors is an amazing little shop. It's a family run business, with several generations always…read moremanning the til. They sell pretty much everything they can. There's kitchenware in one corner, school books in the next. It's a tiny little place but the make the most of the space by filling every centimetre with something to sell. Everything is also really cheap and most products are brand names so you always find little bargains that would cost three times as much in the supermarket. I'd watch out for any sweets or chocolate they are selling as usually they got it that cheap due to its ever increasing closeness to its sell by date. If I ever need a bargain or to save a few pennies, its the first place I look.

It's basically like a pound shop without the 'everything's a pound mantra', even though it is dirt cheap. The same people who run it have been there for about 20 years; they're literally part of the furniture. It would be a shock to the system if you walked in one day and they weren't there; I'd probably die off. Anyways, it's grimy and dark inside, but it's cheap and it sells everything you could possibly need. I think you need to be from North Belfast to appreciate its' 'amazingness'.

This is one of the larger charity shops I have been in. It sells all types of furniture and house hold items as well as books, clothes and bric-a-brac. The quality of the items in this store seems to be very high. In terms of a donation service, they have a clothes bank outside the store so you can drop off your unwanted items 24/7, there is also a furniture drop off point to the right of the store and adequate space to drive a car/van up to the shop entrance. Staff wise, you won't find much better - always bright and bubbly! A great wee charity store - an easy 5 stars!
