This park sits on the northern end of the city of Antwerp. It's a place where people come to jog,…read morecycle, relax and for kids to play in the water fountain. The park features many walkways and lots of grass area for playing sport or simply enjoying the outdoors. While there isn't many trees around for shade or cover, there is a area in the middle with a building where you can sit without being in the sun, also a public restroom. The park is well maintained, very clean and seemed to be a popular spot for families. While I walked here, there seemed to be plenty of parking around.

They…read morehave recently renovated the elephant area, and the greenhouse is a good choice for chilly or rainy weather. Food is available, fairly affordable, and generally very convenient and child friendly. If you live in the area, an annual pass pays itself in 3 visits, especially when you consider that parking fees are including in the pass. The sister, and better known zoo is in Antwerp, and it also merits a visit. This one, however, is covers much more ground and keeps kids entertained in all sorts of ways.
