Check-in should have been fast and easy since your site was pre-paid. Then the clerk informed us that we would have to pay an additional $10 for our car. We drive a 43-foot motorhome and tow a Jeep Wrangler. If you have a travel trailer, your fee covers the trailer and towing car, if you have a 5th wheel, the campsite fee covers the trailer and your tow vehicle, but if you drive a motorhome, they want an extra $10 for your tow car, despite any other RV and car/truck not having to pay. In more than years and 75,000 miles, this was a new one. I requested to speak to the owner, but that was denied. Finally, after demanding a refund, they phoned the owner and eventually the fee was dropped "for this one occasion only." Well, there won't be a second occasion. A nice but expensive campground that just lost another customer due to price gouging for unreasonable added fees.

There was much backing up and pulling forward to make the turns. Once in, it was a bitch backing into our space, no pull thru's. I have no issue with that, except when it comes to my kids. They are both a little young for a clothing optional place at this point, so we opted to book elsewhere. I just wanted others to not notice what we almost didn't.

I'm not going to lie, I had no expectations going into this trip and was pleasantly surprised with how relaxing and wonderful our stay was here. The RV park is easy to find and conveniently located a 5 minute drive/10 minute walk from Harrison Lake. The facilities staff are super friendly and helpful. On one of the mornings our car battery died and they quickly came to the rescue to help jump start our car. They also have a hot tub, pool, and a clubhouse with TV access, which was fantastic so that we could watch the NBA playoffs (game 7!!!) one of the evenings. Whether you're looking for an RV park to park your camper/RV or rent from one of the RVs that are already there, I'd highly recommend Springs!

It was too early to attempt a check-in there, and we had remembered how much we enjoyed doing the same here a couple years ago. It worked out perfectly. We arrived from Hope in the still 'early' morning, and enjoyed some self-made sandwiches and beverages for a sort of breakfast/brunch, and absorbed all the natural sights and sounds. The latter included many birds (several ravens, hawks, and various ground birds), and the Lake itself -- for a couple of hours. The whole, main picnic area in the Park was ours for the entire stay. A morning, very pleasant, and much-enjoyed stop. Would I like it there when crowded with families - no - but for us, on this early, weekday morning, it was a lovely, natural treat to a portion of our time away from home last week.

The campground is nicely laid out providing lots of all sorts. Yes your neighbors are close, but we still found it very personable in our own space as everyone keeps to themselves unless you go looking for connections :) The campground is tidy, the staff is profoundly helpful and being pet friendly is a huge bonus! The facilities are clean and stocked daily, garbage bins are everywhere and there are porta potties spread throughout as well. Quite time at 10PM is a huge relief for us early birds, everyone respected it! I fully support this campground and will happily be back!

We were so impressed by the park! There's camping, there's hiking, there's a fabulous beach area, there's a boat launch, there's shaded picnic tables. (Note: we drove around looking for parking. Despite bing a bunch of different lots, they all seemed to be reserved for specific visitors - i.e., campers, boaters, etc. If you're just here to hike, as we were, know to go to the parking lot designated for "picnic area". FYI. Oh, and it was free to park here, too. Bonus!). My kid heard about the "Seven Sisters" hike, which supposedly is a "gentle loop" through the mountain, and "family friendly". I'm a long-distance walker but not a hiker, and I'm not great with inclines, so I still found this walk up the mountain a tad taxing in parts. But boy, was it lovely! The air was so fresh, and the trees, so old and imposing and stately, and nobody was there but us! It was an incredibly, serene beautiful experience. And it only took about 50 minutes. I highly recommend this hike. It was wonderful! And if you have time, the beach area looked fabulous, too, and the lake crystal clear. What a great park!

The cabins were large inside, comfortable but firm beds…read more I've seen a couple reviews about mice, didn't see any at all but you couldn't leave any food whatsoever because of squirrels, racoons so just have to make sure its packed up or left in the cabin. The cabins were very close together and has ZERO privacy. We were in cabin 17 and cabin 16 was about 20 feet away from us. Also overlooked the parking lot. They seem to be more designed for large groups and families to all share space. There's only one electrical outlet so you recommend bringing a power bar. Not all the windows have curtains so we taped a black garbage bag to the top and door window to make it darker, it was very bright in the morning and woke kids up early. There's a small beach right by the cabins or a short walk to the larger beach with a dock/washrooms. The beaches are gravel so would recommend water shoes. The bathrooms were clean and showers nice. There was one communal fire pit. It was so high that you if were sitting down on a camp chair you couldn't actually see the fire over it. There's a large covered communal area with picnic tables and a dish washing station with hot water. Large grassy area for kids to run around which was nice and lots of shade.

Wow love this place. I came here with 2 other friends for River Rafting. We had a great time. The…read morewater level was somewhat low. So our guide had to get out of the raft couple of times to push the raft out of rocks. in between the River Rafting adventure, we also got out of our raft to do a short hike to the water fall. We also got our pictures taken there as well. Each raft could only hold a maximum of 6 people + the guide. Lunch was included in our adventure. It costed $125 to go River Rafting but it included the wetsuit, lunch and other gears. Also they posted pictures of our River Rafting session on Facebook for us to download. We also had the option to pay $30 for a USB with all photos loaded on it. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely come back. I am thinking of next time doing Kayaking. Also for River Rafting its better to go in June (I was told).

Came back again with some friends. This time, we did the Canyon one which was great. I've done it…read morebefore a few years ago so I kind of knew what to expect. My friends haven't done the Canyon one so it was new to them. They loved it as it was even more challenging and had more dips and rapids. I sat in the front of the raft with another friend, Lee. We got hammered by the big splash of water whenever our raft would dip down over the rocks and rapids. Our guide this time was Sam, he was great and funny. My friends can be a little 'excited' so I'm glad he was able to play along with their antics. The weather was insane yesterday. It was sunny when we drove there from Vancouver however by the time we got changed and started to take the bus to the starting point, it was snowing. Yes, that's right. It was snowing. When we got into the raft and while Sam was explaining the commands, it turned to hail and then rain. The first part of rafting, it was raining. By the time we finished, it was sunny so we had 4 seasons of weather. It made for an even better experience. There were only 2 rafts this time. Last time I went, there was 8 rafts. With only 2 rafts, it was better and more personable as we are able to joke around a bit more. They have a small sauna shack so when we got back, we basically went there to warm up. Again, I recommend coming here for rafting.

We've stayed in classic hotels all over the Western world; we can remember only one as limited as this one.

I prefer to go by my grandma's experience more than mine, because I felt that she is more of the target customer as she lives in the area, not to mention she knows what other places nearby are like in comparison. I liked that the server brought out crayons and colouring pages for my little nephews to entertain them while we waited for our food. It's not a typical place I would end up at, but I enjoyed my lunch. I would really like to give 3.5 stars, but for what it is, I'll bump them up a notch rather than knock one off. This is not fine dining, nor is it a trendy over-priced, establishment. But I wouldn't hesitate to go back with my grandma next time I'm in the area.
