Don't waste your time. I was able to get an appointment this last Monday for a cleaning. I was a new patient so I expected the appointment would take some time, but I wasn't expecting not to have my teeth cleaned. I was taken back to the chair where I received X-rays and they were discussed with me. The Dentist was very nice. Then I was transferred to the 20- something year old hygienist. I was taught how to brush my teeth, what gum to chew, why I should use a Water Pic, what electronic toothbrush I should use, what floss to use and how proper oral hygiene would help my blood pressure. I felt like I was at a presentation for a timeshare. But still no teeth cleaning. Odd for the fact I was there for over an hour and a half. Things started to get real when the hygienist informed me "when I come back for a deep cleaning", I will feel much better about my teeth. I clarified that no cleaning would occur during my visit and I was a bit shocked. I ended up leaving after an hour and fifty minutes with nothing being done. No cleaning. That was the entire reason for the appointment. This was unbelievable. I called the dentist on my way home to clarify what had occurred. The dentist essentially said it's better to not have my teeth cleaned until it's a deep cleaning. This is the exact opposite of what has occurred my entire life. Normally it's a cleaning then you're told to get a deep cleaning. At least it a start. My frustration is the Dentist/hygienist assumed that I have all the time in my life to come back at their will. I work 60 to 80 hours a week and I'm not off during their business hours. I was able to squeeze in on a Monday that was a day off for me. I made this known at the time of my appointment and during the visit itself. Apparently they don't listen. They just figure that everyone will just sit happily in the chair and go with whatever they say. They wasted my entire afternoon and nothing was accomplished. read more

If your are thinking about switching dentists I highly recommend Dr. Nealy! Knowledgeable and prompt.

Dr. Nealy did an amazing job on my crown. I'm hard to freeze and very sensitive but she has taken such good care of me I've lost the dental anxiety I used to get before appointments at other offices in the area. read more

Everyone in the office is a gem and make you feel comfortable... this coming from a gal with serious white coat fear . I can't say enough nice things about Dr Nealy and the care she took with my teeth. She took time with me while explaining each step of the process and also making sure I was comfortable along the way. My husband and I have been flying in from Las Vegas just to come to Harrison Dental for 2 years and it's been worth every penny and flight! This was several years ago and it still haunts me so I'm finally voicing it. My 5 year old son had a cavity on a lower back molar. We went to Harrison Dental. The dentist didn't even do the cavity fill, he had the nurses do it. He said maybe my son didn't even need numbing. They did the basic cotton swab for numbing. Then only numbed him from one side of the tooth with the needle. Only waited about two minutes and went for it. Then my son sat up and cried and said it hurt and I hugged him. This was my first child and our first cavity fill. They said this was normal. The worst part was over. And finished. After ward he said he didn't feel any numbness in his face like after most normal dental visits where a filling is included. Horrible experience. Never went to them again. Now we go to Children's Dentistry of Boise. They are amazing. Only the actual dentist works on the kids. They play movies on the ceiling and offer head phones so they can hear. They offer laughing gas for those who have had traumatic experiences. And they have a little toy for the kids to play around with in their hands for anxiety. AND they care about and make sure they are numb for any drilling. Of course there are many wonderful dentists around Boise. I don't recommend Harrison Dental to anyone. Their office might look nice, but their "care" is careless. read more

Two years ago I oaid thousands +++ to have veneers done at this practice by DR Arron Blaser, from the get go there were problems incluimg within just weeks my veneers started to fall off! $15,000 and my smile now had STUMPS in the front instead of the pretty smile I had wanted for my granddaughters wedding. After giving Dr Blaser several opportunities to re"glue" thos veneers, I quit the practice in total disgust and found another dentist who has worked to restore my smile having to use expensive crowns as my stumps were so damaged they no longer would hold any veneers! Harrison Dental STILL has my initial positive comments about Dr Blaser up on their website in spite of repeated attempts to have them take my comments down. I NO LONGER WOULD RECOMMEND HARRISON DENTAL OR DR BLASER for ANY KIND OF DENTAL SERVICES! IF ZERO recommendations were available on YELP I would chose ZERO STARS for all the pain and suffering as a result if this dentists malpractice. BEWARE!!! read more

As we all know the dentist is not the funnest place to go! I always have anxiety and am nervous before my appointments. Randy the dental hygienist was super kind and reassuring. Not only does he do his work quickly and efficiently. My cleaning and exam was pain free. The Doctor was also very friendly and great as well. I'm glad I went to this location. The staff is awesome! I will start by saying the positives: I came here b/c I was referred by a friend. It's a gorgeous, brand new office, located in the cozy n.end, with beautiful views....... muaha.. muaha.... muahahahahaha..... as you are getting your teeth ( that hurt already) literally banged on to the point you are scared they will crack, AND on a month that's already been financially devastating for my and my boyfriend, had to take * 4 hrs. * for a teeth cleaning away from my job + got charged 150 bucks and STILL had to go home in pain, and WORSE pain than I came in with. As a solution, they gave me flouride to put on my teeth to make it less painful after they scraped what felt like each and every nerve ending, and ladies and gentlemen, I have never HAD flouride on my teeth, therefore had no idea what to expect sensation wise or flavor wise. Imagine biting into an asprin flavored gummi bear, with a tacky sensation left in your molars, in addition to the unending flavor of chemical asprin. The woman cleaning my teeth that day sure did make me feel ugly, telling me I " looked like Annie from the Musical Annie". She was also one of those bitchy vapid alpha barbie doll types. Their hours are 7-4, which also is extremely difficult when time and money are hard to come by. SUPER unprofessional, fake, and disingenuous. The actual dentist guy seemed like a nice ( mormon) fellow. So if that's who you support, then maybe this place is for you. My teeth are now throbbing, when before, they would be sensitive when hit with air or candy. seriously. The girl at the desk is fake as hell. that is all. oh! and so deciding to go with a different dentist, trying to get everything transferred over to the new one who works on Saturdays has been beyond challenging. I hadn't been to a dentist in years before going to Harrison Dental and had extreme anxiety about it. When I finally made it in everyone was so friendly. Randy is the most thoughtful and gentle hygienist and totally calmed my nerves and kept me going back for the next year or two. Everyone else has been kind, positive, and helpful. I recently came to Harrison Dental for a (free) second opinion on a horrible toothache. They were welcoming and got me in within 2 hours of my phone call. Dr. Osterkamp was able to determine an infection that the previous dentist missed, and prescribed medication to treat the problem and alleviate my pain. I opted to pay $40 to get a complete exam, X-rays, & cleaning. Harrison Dental squeezed me into their packed schedule with a visiting oral surgeon, so that I could have the problem tooth removed without delay, and without having to go to another location. Everything was explained to me along the way, and together we are figuring out a treatment plan so that I don't have any more painful emergencies. The hygienist (Randy) was very kind and thoroughly explained everything he was doing during my cleaning. In fact, he told me interesting things about teeth, gums & dental hygiene that I had never had explained to me before! He was patient & gentle & I immediately rebooked my next cleaning so long as he was the one doing it. Harrison Dental offers an amazing in-house dental plan that covers preventive care & X-rays as well as any dental insurance would, and even gives you 20% off major work. Since I was a child, going to the dentist has resulted in bad news, costly work, pain & anxiety. Not to mention, I'm always embarrassed to go to the dentist because my teeth are in such bad shape & I'm so certain I'm the worst mouth of teeth they've ever seen. But the entire Harrison staff has been nothing but kind and welcoming to me and never once have they recoiled in horror at the sight of my teeth. Great family dentist! I was looking for a dentist for my family. I went for myself for a cleaning to check things out and now my husband goes. We had a great experience. I took my oldest daughter(6y/o) first and had a great experience with Dr Fife. He was very good with her and gentle. She has to come back because she has a few cavities. My son (5y/o) was exited for his next cleaning appointment. The only thing that could be better was that the Dental chair were you sit could accommodate children better. The were too big and they kept on sliding down. Easy fix if there was a small pillow under their bottom. read more

I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in over a year and I had a few cavities. They didn't make me feel bad at all about the dental work I needed. When I went in to get my teeth cleaned the hygienist even said "don't worry I have a mouth full of metal" it was so nice to hear that and know I wasn't being shamed for not making it to the dentist as often as I should have. Absolutely hated this dentist. Gums still sore week after cleaning. Hygienist annoying and really caused me pain. Will not ever return. Don't go to Harrison dental unless you really love your gums feeling like ground beef. read more
