They handled the services very well, were very respectful, and didn't approach it like a sales transaction.

She had not right to touch any of his things. My son mattered. His things matter. Our memories with him matter. How dare she throw his things away without notifying us. I was in the office today and they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to place a $3 bouquet on his grave. No, I don't want your HEB flowers, ma'am. I want my mom's Christmas tree and the Kochina that my son and I purchased at Bryce Canyon. I want the coaster that has his beautiful photo on it. I want the lights that I placed back in his area so that it's not dark back there. I want you to show my son respect. He deserves it. Every single person who is placed out there deserves it. It is tacky and hateful of you to treat their things like they aren't important. Their lives and their things are important whether you think so or not! I would rather bring my don't ashes home with me than have them somewhere that could care less about him. His name was Martin, and he matters!

So super helpful to get the full on sales pitch while finalizing my 2 year olds final resting place. Thankfully my Dad dealt with everything and decided that, sure, he would play ball and bought the 3 plots. Everything was handled professionally for my daughter's service and plot. Fast forward to December 2020. My aforementioned Dad passed away. His death was very unexpected. We knew he wanted to be buried next to his granddaughter and immediately made arrangements for him to be transported from Houston to Austin. Everything related to the transfer and grave-side service was handled great. We took great care with designing my Dad's marker. My Mom placed the final order December 2020. We were told it would be placed on 3-5 months. It is now almost a year later and still no marker. My Mom initially reached out to her contact at Cook Walden (Kyle) multiple times via email with no response. She called and left multiple messages with no response. Luckily I live in Austin and was able to park myself at the funeral home until someone would speak to me. After multiple assurances that 'everything was being done' to get my Dad's marker placed, I left. I reached out via text message multiple times and was told that 'shipping delays were causing delivery issues, etc.'. Sure. This would be a valid excuse for a month, 3 months, 6 month delay, but it's been a YEAR. A whole YEAR. My last text message was unanswered.

I am a frequent visitor to Assumption Cemetery, (located in Austin, Texas) & have been for many…read moreyears because so many of my family members are buried there. And the one thing that I can say is consistent about Assumption Cemetery is the inconsistency of the maintenance & upkeep of the grounds at Assumption Cemetery. During my most recent visit on Father's Day 06/15/2025 around 6pm - which was a rainy day. there were so many areas that were flooded w/ water completely covering some of the tombstones (see pic & video included in this review). I have called the cemetery on Monday, 06/16/2025 & left a message to report the flooded areas. I also left a message about the following issues needing to be addressed: -- - - trash needing to be cleaned up & not enough trash bins located on-site so visitors can throw away their trash. Only 2 regular sized trash bins currently there & the trash was overflowing because cans weren't big enough. -- - - no markers on-site to list the section #s of the burial grounds so 1st time visitors can easily find grave sites. During my most recent visit, there was a woman looking for her dads grave stone & she did have a section # of the stone but since there are no signs listing the sections, she wasn't able to locate it. - - - clearing the weeds & grass from covering any gravestones - some stones are partially covered by grass and others are completely covered Each time I visit, I always bring gloves & trash bag(s) w/ me so I can pick up any trash that I see on the grounds & to pull up any weeds covering any of the stones. I do this for my family members AND for any other grave stones I see that are not my family members, out of respect but I do wish that the Assumption Cemetery grounds staff did a better job of keeping the cemetery grounds clean & maintained. I will continue to follow up on the issues mentioned above until they get resolved & I would also encourage any other cemetery visitors to contact the cemetery staff for any concerns they may have, so together we can keep the pressure on those who are responsible for the cleanliness & maintenance of Assumption Cemetery.

The funeral home is so inattentive to the families needs. My father-in-law had to leave to go and get bottle waters for our family because they had nothing for us. Once the service began, no one from the funeral home was in attendance to ensure things ran properly. My 20 year old sister-in-law, who was completely distraught at the loss of her grandfather, created a picture slide show to music. Prior to the service, the funeral home lady (the one with glasses and tattoos all over her legs) helped her to make sure it was working (what a miracle!). Well, once the service began, they had turned the volume on the sound system down, and apparently it is controlled from a different room than the one where the service was being held. When we went to play the slideshow, no sound. I promptly ran into the lobby to try and find someone who worked there. They told me they would turn it up. So, I ran back into the service to tell them it was okay. We tried again, no sound. I told the girl was glasses, and she VERY rudely stated that she had turned it up as high as it would go. I said, okay so should we try and turn it up from the computer (not knowing the presentation was on a USB owned by the funeral home). And she said I mean, I don't know what to tell you. Who says that? Really? Their lack of customer service and compassion for a grieving family DISGUST me. You should never tell anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one that "you don't know what to tell them." You know what you do. You work tirelessly to assist them until the problem is resolved. SHAME ON ANGEL FUNERAL HOME FOR EMPLOYING SOMEONE WITH SUCH A BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS AND FOR HUMANITY ITSELF. You should be ashamed of yourself girl with the glasses whoever the hell you are.

When my father passed away, I honestly had no idea what to do. My mom recommended taking him here as we were cremating his remains and she saw in a Statesman article many years back that all the funeral homes doing cremations send their clients to All Faiths since they were one of the only crematories for Austin. What I really enjoyed was that we were able to meet the morning after he passed and they did not try to upsell us on ANYTHING. The director mentioned certain services that would be good in case of a viewing (like embalming, etc), but he recommended against it because it wouldn't be nessecary in the end. Now, I REALLY like that. We knew already we weren't going to have a viewing, so that was no problem. The director didn't even try to upsell us on various caskets used for cremation. He explained very well what would be "standard" - which my Dad wanted. There was a price list for the "standard" set up which came out around a little under $900 for the whole thing. He didn't try to sell us any urns, but gave a catalogue to look through in case we were thinking about some. I really really loved how the director kept everything very calm and casual and didn't try to take advantage of us like a lot of other places tend to do. In the following weeks, they were very communicative in regards to when things were ready (death certificates, the urns I ended up ordering, etc). When my father's cremains were ready, they were very courteous and very supportive. So do I WANT to do business with them again in the future? Not really... But since they do have excellent, compassionate service and cut-out-the-middle-man type prices here, I'd definitely recommend them to just about anyone in Austin looking to be cremated in the future or you have a loved one who has requested that you don't overspend on them after death, I'd definitely recommend All Faiths.
