This bar was excellent. We had been looking for another pub to frequent after hitting up a couple -- one being good, one being not so much. The Harp was a lovely spot in between Dungloe Bar and a couple of other shops on the steep slope of Waterloo Street.
We walked inside and grabbed a seat at one of the narrow and cozy window-front tables -- pressed against the front door entrance. We enjoyed our time there in this little pub, enjoying pours of various single-pot whiskey and other whiskey drinks -- specifically those mixed with ginger ale.
I wished we could have stayed longer, but because we were trying to fit as many places to visit during our time in Derry, we had to move on after a couple of drinks. Still, we loved the vibes at this pub, which embodies what you want in a pub when visiting from the states -- small, cozy, authentic, and genuine. read more
