Wow, where to begin. I got a speeding ticket on my way to my brother's wedding while in the US for 8 days. I live in Germany and had no idea how I was going to deal with this from here. I Googled, I called, I Googled again, I called another lawyer, then I found Harold's office. My first impression was my contact with their front desk staff, Nicole, who was so friendly and assured me Harold could take care of it for me. When I then spoke to him and explained the situation, he told me all of my options and about what they would each cost. When I asked him if he was good at his job, he said he thought he was, but that he encouraged me to consult with another attorney to make sure. I did. I called two more and they were just as expensive, but when I asked them if they were good, they said "of course, the best". I like humble. I paid them with no hassle via credit card, sent them all my documents via email and only had to send them my retainer letter via post. Then I basically didn't hear from them again, except to ask a couple of quick questions, until they notified me that they had resolved the situation for me. He got a moving violation with an almost 30 mph speed difference (82 in a 55) knocked down to a non-moving violation (blocking an intersection). This saved me HUNDREDS in fines, kept me from losing my perfect driver bonus on my insurance (yes, first ticket I've had since I was 17, gotta make it count!) and kept me from getting so many points on my license in NY that CA might take it away on their side as a result. Unfortunately, I will never use them again... because there is NO WAY i am getting another speeding ticket on the Taconic Parkway.... ever again..... BUT!!!! if **YOU** get a speeding ticket on or near the Taconic... you could not choose a more effective law firm in that area. All of my interactions with Dee and Son's firm were positive and easy. I had done research on other lawyers in the area and, in the end, I went with Dee. In fact, Harold Jr. (who called me back himself) had quoted me a higher fee than any of the other lawyers had quoted. But, I went with Dee despite the slightly higher quote because of the confidence Harold Jr. had during his positive (and persuasive) conversation with me. As they say, I just had "a feeling" about choosing Harold Dee, and am glad I went with that feeling -- although I was a nervous wreck up to the trial (they represented me in-absensia). At the trial, Harold Dee was able to convince the judge that because of my clean driving record and the positive interaction I had had with the State Trooper (a lesson I learned a LONG time ago: be nice, be respectful), that my charge would be **significantly** reduced and the 6 points I would have received became 2 non-speed points. Almost a year ago, I got a speeding ticket and I was going very fast, not intentionally, but in a moment where I kind of zoned out, I was going fast. I called my partner who said I needed a lawyer. This review is well overdue! Harold Dee is the best attorney I have ever dealt with. I was facing a speeding violation and a failure to signal which if found guilty would have amounted to 7 points. Got caught on a Sunday morning on a deserted country road. Had not been speeding but did give the car a very quick quick accelerate/decelerate up to 80 in a 45 (8 points). Officer was over a brow and caught the whole thing. He asked me 'what were you doing; we had you at 45 and then thou went to 80 and back".
