(One opens and closes after posted hours and the other is horrendous). The waiting room of this office needs a serious update. It's old and dirty and dingy and my idea of any medical facility is nice and clean. I remember being very put off by the look of the area on my first visit, but when you have slim pickings abd you know you need medicine you give it a chance. The wait here is always long. There are typically only a few people waiting and you are there FOREVER. At my visit yesterday there was no one else in the waiting room when i arrived and the visit still took about an hour. The doctors I have seen, however, are very friendly and seem caring and compasionate. That is the most important part. Each time i have been seen I have been treated properly and everything was explained thouroughly to me. Also the medical assistant that helped me yesterday was sweet as well. I will say this, however.....make sure you know the details of your insurance and how it works. The lady at the front desk tried to overcharge me for my visit. She initially wanted to charge me $90 even though I had met my deductible. She was trying to say the "individual deductible" met was for the cardholder (my husband) and not me. I had to explain that I was the individual who had met the deductible. After a bit of back and forth I was charged $20.

I waited less than five minutes in the waiting room with some very simple paperwork and was immediately seen by the doctor's assistant. After a very brief conversation about my acute afflictions, I was offered a throat and nasal culture to check for strep or flu. The strep culture came back positive and about 8 1/2 minutes and I was written a script for a Z pack, Sudafed, Mucinex, and given a doctors excuse for work. All this for 50 bucks I am impressed. Would have given five stars but it's one of those shopping center clinics it looks kind of sketchy.

I even said...your giving me two shots right? She said yes. Then I said 'why do I just see one syringe?' Then she said she mixed them. Told her that's not correct and then she says "well I'm not a nurse!" I said well you should know how to prepare the medication they are allowing you to give! I asked her to redo it. Lost trust and was aggravated by her when she didn't bring two new vials in but instead had the contents separated quickly into two syringes. I asked to see the two new vials. She yeIls, " I'm not doing this and leaves the room." Then she starts googling it and I heard her yelling 'you can give toradol and a steroid together!' I opened the door and had to correct her again saying this isn't about a person taking these during the same treatment...it's that you can't mix the two in the same syringe as it effects the stability of the toradol. It scares the heck out of me that a person is googling this stuff and misunderstanding it. Then she started calling me names and swearing at me. What a disaster. The NP told her to go home but wasn't interested in hearing my concerns. I was in a lot of pain with a headache and now it's even worse. What an unprofessional person. Before you get a shot do your homework and see if they can be MIXED in the same syringe. Toradol (ketoralac) is one that mixes with nothing. I only know this cause I'm in healthcare. Feel sorry for all the people before me who got a shot that's rendered ineffective if given the wrong way!

That alone says so much about the level of care and professionalism in this office! When we first started coming here, Dr. Vicente's father and mother were part of the practice, and they were always incredibly accommodating, kind, and honest. After they retired, the same wonderful culture continued with the amazing Iris and Frances, who make every visit smooth and welcoming. One of the things we appreciate most is how accommodating the office is with scheduling. Whether you need to repair a filling or come in for a cleaning, they will gladly put you on a waiting list and call you the moment a cancellation opens up. Their cleaning appointments book at least 6 months in advance, which honestly speaks volumes about how good they are. I highly recommend scheduling early so you can choose a time that works best for you. Dr. Vicente herself is extremely cordial and has incredible bedside manners. She explains everything she is doing step by step while working on your teeth, which makes you feel comfortable and fully informed. The billing is always honest and transparent, which unfortunately is not something you can say about every dental office. In fact, we had to leave the practice for 1 year due to a dental insurance change and go to one of the larger dental chains. That year was disappointing ~ we missed not only Dr. Vicente but also the honesty, transparency, and fair pricing that this office provides. The difference in care was night and day. We were so relieved to come back. Dr. Vicente and her entire team are professional, caring, and truly dedicated to their patients. I genuinely give Dr. Vicente 10 stars every single visit. If you are looking for a dentist you can trust for your entire family, this is absolutely the place to go!

I brought this to their attention last July - my visits were in June and July. To date, there has been no effort to reimburse me the amount I have been overcharged. If you can afford to lend them a few hundred dollars with no date for them to repay that amount, the care is fine.
