My son was the the one who is taking the lessons but when he was starting I used to sit beside him & I actually learned. I know how to read notes & pretty can play simple notes by reading. She knows basic to broad things about music. She's really strict & pushes kids to learn. My son had his moment of crying times but it made him tough & actually pushed him way beyond those challenges & plays better now. Her rate is pretty good for a group lessons (up to 7 kids), $70 for 50 minutes every week. She also offers private lessons. If you miss a lesson, you can do a make up class for it which is really great! She makes it more fun too by doing some fun facts after!
