Valerie is ah-may-zing and this was one of the most healing and awesome experiences of my life!!!…read moreI've been wanting to write this review for awhile and have been having trouble putting it into words! What made my experience so profound, or what allowed me to have a profound experience, was how comfortable I instantly felt around Valerie! She's full of /genuine/ loving kindness and is super accessible. I think we've all met practitioners who either don't feel genuine, or come across as intimidating or overly serious or 'holier-than-thou'. Valerie felt like a sister who is totally there to support you with no judgement. I knew I could ask her any question, be myself around her, and even have a laugh!! Long story short in other treatments / healings / ceremonies / spiritual experiences, I've never been able to fully let go and have the healing experience I was meant to have, because I was either too shy are worried if I DID let go that I would not be supported. So thank you Valerie for making me feel comfortable and free!!! My bestie and I each did individual 2-hour breathwork and sound healing sessions. Valerie has a Sound Bed which is super comfortable and like laying on an instrument with harp strings on one side and mellow drums on the other. When she plays the strings or drums, you can feel the vibrations in the your body and it's so awesome!! Valerie's studio space is super zen and clean and spacious, while feeling totally cozy. And beautiful! The session was approx 15 minutes orientation / talking about personal spiritual or life focuses, then 45 minutes breathwork, 45 minutes sound healing, and 15 minutes decompression/discussion/reorientation Breathwork was challenging in the best way and HOLY HECK did I release some things. Tears just welled up and were shed and Valerie had done a great job before letting me know I didn't need to wonder what the tears were about or be in my head. I'm often in my head so it was great to know I could fully be in my body and like she said "the breath will do all the work". I felt tensions in my neck and other parts of my body spontaneously release that I ***did not know they were even there until they were gone***. How long had I been holding onto those?!?!? As the breathwork continued I felt my whole body and each cell vibrating with light! So the breathwork takes you to an entire different dimension and then once you're there - 45 minutes of sound healing blissss!!!!! Every time Valerie picked up a different instrument I could almost feel a different part of my body was activated. One of my focuses was womb energy / creative fertility, and I could literally feel different sides of my womb vibrate and tingle. Other times I could feel other internal organs vibrate like my liver and spleen and parts of my back. I truly felt like I was transported to the home place of my pure spirit essence, maybe what some people refer to as the sacred space of the heart. It was wonderous and awesome. 11/10 stars!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Weeks later and I still feel the changes within me, I can tell they are permanent. As a descendent of Chinese immigrants, I was accustomed to tending to my paternal ancestral lineage and did not realize the impact of relegating my maternal lineage. This session revealed the generations of pain I carried from my maternal inheritance. I connected to that pain and released it. I was left with feeling deep gratitude for my mother and all that she had endured. My moon cycle came a few days after our session and for the first time in my life, I did not have painful cramps, weakness in legs, or PMS. I was ecstatic. Also as a descendent of Chinese immigrants, I did not feel I belonged anywhere- not on American soil and not on Chinese soil.
