*Long Post Alert* My wife and I have been looking for a home to purchase for about a year and a half. We were set to buy the perfect size home from Lennar Homes, but their leasing Agent Billy H. misled us but that's a long story you'll have to find in one of my other reviews. We spotted Arcadia Homes (located at 3530 Alpheus River Ave) when they were first building, and we stopped by one of Harmony's offices in Henderson and met with their sales rep Cynthia (Who's no longer with the company) who showed us similar models because Arcadia didn't have any home up yet. The only thing was we felt that the homes were too small for what we wanted. At that time, we passed on an opportunity for better sales price and lower interest rate at the time, but things happen for a reason. Fast forward, one day after our Lennar debacle, we stopped at the Arcadia office with our licensed realtor and cousin Tamara and were greeted by Cynthia again (who got stationed at Arcadia) and Elizabeth. They were so helpful and very down to earth. We stopped multiple times to look at the model units to get a feel of what we wanted; they did not mind at all.... The Lady (Anita Montecerin) was nonchalant and her demeanor was horrible, mostly standoffish like we were wasting her time being there. She then proceeded to say before you can go on the waiting list you needed a pre-approval. To Anita's shock we had a a pre approval from one of the vendors listed. On top of that we had all that documentation before we got there. If Anita would have taken a moment to check to see if we had an appointment, then she would have seen all documents, before assuming we were like others, maybe this would have been a better experience. However, the level of customer service that Anita provided was unprofessional from the start. Built a home and moved in back in October 2013. Uneven and warped drywall seems, noisy floors from plywood coming up, crappy paint job, cheap baseboards and wood material all around. Had to replace all three toilets year 2 as they all cracked, and the manufacturer was in Mexico and couldn't get them to honor warranty. Had to replace toilets on our dime. Front of house the stucco bled through the dark paint color of house causing it to stain entire front of house. Had to repaint house on our dime. Our daughters bedroom upstairs is sloping down over edge of house cause it's not supported properly. They (Harmony Homes) offered to come fix some things and we asked for them to fix paint, sloping floor, drywall, shower panel.....they patched one drywall corner and didn't do the rest. They refused to fix the front of my house which looked ruined. The only quality in this home is the items we have bought or paid extra to upgrade. Bad home builder. read more

After living in the Quail Park area for the last 6 months, I can say with certainty that I would NEVER buy a Harmony Home. The lack of quality that the workers show is very disappointing. As someone who has years of experience in all facets of the building of a home, these are not a good value. Unless, you're looking to rent it out cheaply. Add in the fact that the workers leave beer cans on scaffolding and the concrete guys show up at 5:30 AM while screaming and smoking weed on the job (saw a video from Twitter aka X). The appliances are bottom of the line Samsung. They look much prettier than they work. The architect didn't plan ahead for things like fiber internet. The cable junction box is behind the very small pantry. Not very useful unless you're ok with having a hole in your wall with cables running through the pantry. Please don't waste your money. read more

It's a sellers market no doubt, which every realtor will advise you. You are at the mercy of the seller, listing agent or builder and there's really nothing in a buyer's favor. I wasn't going to originally post this, but as time moves on, I get more and more upset as I think about it. A while back I wanted to come look at a build, was referred over to harmony homes. When we went to the office, we immediately were greeted with "do you have an appointment?" Which we did, and showed up right on time and no one else was there. You would assume that there would be the ability to put 2 and 2 together, especially if we're there with a realtor. After finally stepping inside we were given the brochure and explanation of what models, options, etc. toured the homes and came back to the office. What happened next was and is still mind blowing to me. We tell the 2 office workers that we reviewed the brochure and are interested in x model with these options and were wondering what the process was as we were told by the person that referred us that a lot was available. so they bring out this map of track homes and it is for the most part filled up and explain to us that well everything is pre sold, and the builds are pre chosen by the builder unless we want a lot in the 6 months later in future. so I ask them if there is a difference in cost or what the price was. They said they don't know the price of those yet. Which to me is confusing, normally when you go buy a home you choose an address and there is usually a listing price or on a home build there is a base price / lot price. So I ask, how does the pricing work? They could not give me a straight answer on that. I began to shift from being confused to feeling upset as the conversation continued. I asked, what is the purpose of this brochure if I cannot choose the options I want or if I want to choose a home that will be built 6 months later, why can't you give me a price? they could not give me a straight answer. I just at this point am so fed up, I ask how does this process even work if I can't choose a lot, I can't choose a build and I have no idea how the pricing works. They tell me I need to put a deposit down and provide a pre qualifying letter from an approved lender, their lender is Wells Fargo. After multiple times asking us for a pre qualify letter, I mention multiple times our broker sent you over our pre approval, I learned at that point they never even pulled up our appointment details. So I ask what is the deposit for? I am then told it's to hold my place in line in case a lot pops up with the model I want. I ask the details of the deposit and if it's refundable, they say if you choose a lot that you want to be on the list for and they begin the foundation, it is no longer refundable. At this point I'm flat out angry, i then say "you're telling me, that you want a deposit on something that I have no idea what the price is, an idea of what the finished build will be like on a lot that I had almost no choice on? And if they start building you just get to keep my money regardless if I get it or not?" They tell me the pricing goes up every "phase" which is essentially every month, and it's a substantial amount. It's enough to where if you were early on and chose a build/lot and put a deposit down, with it taking multiple "phases" or months until completion. A home you originally thought was $320k could be well over $380k and could push you out of preapproval and you lose your deposit! In fact someone fell out of pre approval over the phone as we were in the office and told us another lot was available but it wasn't the model we wanted and that it would be at least another 2 phases until completion, so they couldn't even give me pricing. Which means if that person wasn't pushed out of approval on that increase, they still had 2 more phases of price increases to survive through before learning the final price and being able to buy their home. I asked if I put a deposit down on that one that just became available and it raises past my pre approval letter you now have in your hands, do you guys just get to keep my $3000 ? Are there other people on that same list for that lot with deposits too? They did not want to answer and I felt pushed out of the office after that. Overall staff was incredible rude and misleading, would never purchase from them after my experience. Just remember though, it's a sellers market. So this is ok behavior right ? read more

Bought a house from them and had to replace all appliances within a year, drywall seams coming apart electrical problems AC problems and the company won't do anything and it's even hard to get a hold of someone to talk to. They have a portal system but they have our house as a one story and it's a two story layout and we can't get paint codes, cabinet codes, colors. INSANELY HORRIBLE COMPANY! We are currently in the process of buying a house from them in Bella Park. We we're excited by their seemingly friendly agents throughout the process. I visted the house every day as it is STILL currently being built. I noticed the model variation was wrong and voiced my concern. My TERRIBLE agent, Ana Anita Montecerin, told me to not worry about it. As the roofing started going up I knew 100% they were building the wrong home. I went back to Anita and she only wanted to argue that I was at fault and she did nothing wrong. I even have proof that she accidentally admitted fault and said she printed wrong brochure but seems like she did not realize that that's the brochure she circled & put into our contract that states which house we are getting. After an argument in her office she stated she is going to do nothing to make it right so me and my fiance drove down to corporate to talk to the agent's manager, Colleen Catania, who always just wanted to argue. She belittled my fiance and I because we look young and said how their error was a small problem in the world and that its not a big issue. She admitted fault of the company and offered us a washer and dryer for the mistake..... a washer and dryer for compensation of a completely wrong house. The only good thing is they are willing to give us our money back to leave the contract. They didn't even spend 2 seconds trying to keep us as customers. Do your own research and see all the red flags yourself. Negative reviews EVERYWHERE. Don't waste your time with this company, you'll regret it. read more

We purchased a harmony home in 2019 and three years later, BOY! don't we regret it. The only reason we purchased it was because the incentives they offered were great at the time. We had to get the carpeting redone due to VERY POOR installation and added to that we had to get the laminate flooring replaced also due to poor installation. Wonder what else we will need to get replaced before we move from this house. Our house is around 1700sf so you can imagine how much cost we incurred replacing the flooring. read more

I bought a home in lake Las Vegas and I loved it. The best part was I made roughly 100,000 when I resold it. Customer service was great. If anything was wrong they came out and fixed it. I had a great home buying experience. Better than any other home purchase. read more

We've owned our Harmony home for 4 years now, so have had more than enough time to discover the problems. We have also built several custom or semi-custom homes previous to this house. My first piece of advice is to NOT build a new home unless you can be there to check on the progress frequently. If we had been able to be there, some of the problems would have been alleviated. That said, here's a short list of the issues we've come across so far: 1. They built the house backwards on our lot and it wasn't until we put in the RV driveway that we discovered just how much of a problem this is. Part of the hill was scraped away but the grade is still so steep on that side, we can't get our new RV up the drive! 2. Whoever they used to complete the plumbing left a sewer test cap in the line. For the first 3 months after moving in, we had sewage backed up into the house and a plumber out at least twice a week. Finally, the plumbing company owner came out himself to see what the problem was and that's when he snaked the line and found the cap. 3. The ceiling had to be retaped and repainted in several places. The overall quality of paint throughout the house is poor and there is overspray on many of the doors. One of the walls had an obvious "bow" in it and they tried to paint it so you can't see it. They also used flat paint on the baseboards! 4. The swing out door to the back yard was installed backwards and can't be corrected. 5. There are cracks starting to appear in some of the tiles and grout is crumbling away, especially around doors and under cabinets. Grout was left to dry on the tub and shower surround. 6. The granite we selected was NOT what was installed and, even though we had pictures of what we had chosen, they refused to replace it. 7. The threshold for the front door was never installed. 8. The carpet we chose was switched out for a lesser grade. 9. Some type of glue was left all over the tiles in the kitchen and it took several different people to figure out what it was and get it off the tile. These are just a few of our issues with this homebuilder. Unless Harmony has improved greatly, I would say beware of them. If you do use them, check on your home frequently while they are building. read more

This builder definitely prefers quantity OVER quality...very disappointed at the way they cut corners to build these houses. Everything that I documented during the walk through STILL HAVE NOT BEEN FIXED. They could care less about your precious investment. Please Stay clear away from this builder. read more

I bought a Harmony Home back in 2010. Liked the floor plan and the price was right. But now I regret it. They put in absolute crap for the A/C and heater (Goodman). Six years in and both A/C units crapped out. The dishwasher that comes with the home is absolute garbage. I've had to spend way too much money to replace the crap they put in the house because it breaks or fails. And to top it off they didn't even do a simple registration for the A/C units which would have extended the warranty to 10 years. Since they didn't the A/C units, which I mentioned are garbage, were only covered for 5 years so I'm on the hook for the total amount. Can't believe how much I've had to spend to fix up a NEW HOUSE. Will never buy a Harmony Home again and if this review discourages one person from making a mistake with Harmony then I will consider this post worth it. read more

I have had a Harmony home for just under 3 years now. I have to say firstly that I love my home layout. However aside from that the level at which they are will to cut corners to build a home quickly is ridiculous. Since I have had the home I have repeatedly complained about the upstairs AC. The representative harmony sent the first summer said that is was normal for the upstairs to be warmer and looked no further the next summer I again complain and they stated that it was out of warranty and to contact a AC repair company. I did and they simply refilled Freon and did not check for leaks (admittedly this is my fault). This past year I contacted another AC company Legacy Air (great company by the way) and they find a pipe that had not been welded at all in my attic. I contacted Harmony homes to at least assist in the financial damage since this was negligence on their part. Costing me $800 and roughly 21 lbs of Freon leaked in my attic (over the years). Also, when I went into the attic/crawl space there was a bunch of trash a bottles left behind from the builders. The final time the Harmony home warrant department denied me they did even give me the courtesy of a call they just text, which to me seems very unprofessional. That aside I had repeatedly asked them to repair my balcony rail which looks like it had been dragged behind the truck prior to installation. They kept telling me they would send someone to paint it an they never did. almost 3 years now. Admittedly I only asked three time but it should be more than one. I should have took it as a sing this was a bad company since they were even willing to show the home to me prior to sale in that condition. I just don't want anyone else to fall prey to them. When you spend so much money on a home you want piece of mind everything is functioning properly and not waiting for something to go wrong. read more
