In the air I went landing squarely on my right side. At first I thought I was fine. I had pain but thought it would go away when the bruises went away. I was so wrong. The pain was there on and off, and then it was always there. It was the kind of pain that I learned to live with. I made adjustments around it. I slept only on my back with extra pillows in bed to prop up my legs. I had pillows tucked on either side of me so I would not turn over during the night because some sleep positions caused more pain than others. (My husband did not like that). Special pillows when I sat in chairs as firm chairs were unforgiving and caused sciatica pain. I had a special pillow for my chair at the dinner table. I even had a pillow for my lower back while driving. I could not stand for long periods of time. I could not bend down for fear of the shooting pain while getting up. I could not clean or carry moderately heavy things. Forget about exercising or taking long walks. If I did, I knew I would pay dearly for it less than an hour later. The changes I made in my life to accommodate pain were ridiculous. One Sunday evening while I was going through my "survival system", my husband said, "I've had it! You're going to get you back fixed. On a Sunday night, he made an online appointment through yelp for Serene Chiropractic. And Monday morning at 8:00 am someone from Serene called me and the rest is history. One day, about 3 to 4 weeks into my care I had a very shocking realization, I was no longer in pain!!! Then Feb. 2014, after going for several months to Chiro One, I was in a major head on collision, 3 car accident. I called Dr. Jason and informed him about the accident and told him that the doctors suggested I not go to the chiropractor until doctor visits & physical therapy visits were completed. I talked to him a couple times during my recovery time to get his opinion on certain things. Then once released, I tried to go back to Chiro One to complete my remaining visits that were paid for out of pocket. I made an appt, went in, was re examined, spoke with Dr. Jason; he informed me he didn't have time to look at my new x-rays until later and he apologized, but I would not be able to be adjusted same day, to make an appt for tomorrow, so I did. I received a call from Dr Jason the next day stating that he needed my new insurance info. I told him I would provide it once we were done with the remaining visits I had, he told me that he would have to refund my money or roll the value of the remaining appts into a new plan, because the previous plan was no longer valid. I said let me know what the cash refund would be and we could go from there. With a phone call back in less than 5 mins, I was told that my remaining visits were worth $252.00, but that I could not get a cash refund. I would need to give them my new insurance info and they would apply the $252.00 towards my deductible on my new insurance. This is not the way I would do business, nor do I believe this is good business.

As a 22 year old woman that had me worried, because I was in otherwise good health. It has truly been an emotional and physical battle for me. I felt debilitated by them and felt like I couldn't socially function anymore. I couldn't concentrate at work, I skipped classes because of the pain, and didn't want to go out with my friends, because I was always so fatigued. I was already through the ringer of the ENT doctor, and then at the time a neurologist. I was on a high dosage of seizure meds just to get the pain to stop. Then I felt numbing in my arms and legs (which was apparently normal) and felt very lightheaded, yet heavy. Not to mention a restricted diet. That medicine was concealing the pain and just hiding the problem, not fixing it. I knew that wasn't a sustainable option or lifestyle I wanted to live by. My experience with Chiro One started about a couple of months ago. I stumbled across the booth at the Green Expo at ECC and set up an appointment for me and my boyfriend to go in. I was desperate for anything. I have been going multiple days a week to get adjusted and do therapy on my neck (and back). Over time my headaches grew further apart and weaker. It felt like a miracle. It wasn't instant, but I have stuck with it for my well being and seen results I didn't even expect. I rarely have headaches anymore, and if I do I just do my exercises they gave me. The real shocker is that I don't take any meds! Plus, I can enjoy a nice glass of wine again! I used to think Chiro treatment was only for a traditional backache, but have since come to learn that the doctors at Body Solutions are trained to deal with a variety of physical maladies and issues. I am 50 yrs old and probably overdo it in terms of partaking in vigorous physical activities. Perhaps I'm trying to hold onto my youth for a little longer than I should, but I'm always aching or injured from too much basketball, or a hard slide in softball, or from throwing too much with my sons. I always make sure to mention any and all of these little injuries to Dr. Steve or Dr. G. after they mentioned to me that they can help with foot problems, shoulders, knees, backs, or whatever. Dr. Steve and Dr. G have always managed to bring me back to full speed along with the help of their massage therapist, Carolyn, who have all worked me back to form for several years running. They are all sports fans and, fittingly, seem to specialize in sports injuries. One time I was certain I needed a surgery to repair my left shoulder, which had been enduring extreme pain for a month to the degree that I couldn't even lift my left arm above my shoulder. Dr. Steve, in a matter of minutes, concluded it was a strained muscle in my back and spent MAYBE five minutes massaging that muscle. After that, it was back to full use. Another time I had been enduring horrible plantar fasciitis pain in my foot for several months before mentioning it to Dr. Steve. He worked on it with electro stimulation and ultrasound therapy, and then fitted me for orthotic inserts for my shoes that cost me nothing (thanks Blue Cross/Blue Shield) and within a month that foot was back to full functioning and the problem has not returned in the four years since. This place is awesome and can help you recover from any injury or pain. I also can't say enough about Carolyn, their massage therapist. I no longer just go see her for pain management issues. I see her proactively and religiously every month, as I believe that she keeps small problems from turning into much bigger ones. She's very reactive to my needs and also has the talent and ability to find problems I didn't even realize I had until she points them out to me. I would encourage anyone and everyone to give this place some thought the next time you feel some soreness anywhere. They take insurance and many would be surprised that most health insurance covers chiropractic treatments (including the massage therapy!).
