The last time I had my tresses trimmed, the poor stylist was working on three customers simultaneously, plus manning phone appointments. She did an excellent job though and I commend her for that. I would love to see a dedicated set of stylists working on each available customer as I feel it's important for a hair stylist to make a connection with their respective clientele. Not every stylist can understand your hair type or stylist needs, hence I doubt I will be a regular here. On a positive note, the prices are reasonable and they usually hold regular promos to encourage foot traffic to the salon. My last visit saw me paying less than $50 for a wash, cut and blow.

There's just something about the way they cut my hair that I love. Owned by senior stylists, Mel and Letitia the salon is located on Unley Road just up from the Metro Shopping Centre (on the opposite side of Unley Rd). Of all the girls in the salon, I think just about all of them have done my hair at some stage. If you happen to pay them a visit for a new do, make sure you request "a treatment" when they're washing your hair out. "A treatment" comes with a 'to die for' head massage while you're simultaneously sitting in a massage chair at the basin ... oh and then there's some product put in your hair to make it all shiny. It quite honestly just takes you somewhere else. I admit to being a girly girl and I like being fussed over but a friend of mine who doesn't like all that fuss paid them a visit recently and was so impressed with her haircut, she asked to speak to the manager at the end of her appointment simply to praise her stylist - high praise indeed from someone who hates haircuts. If you're in search of the whole package, they regularly do hair and makeup for entire wedding parties and if you visit the salon on a Saturday you're sure to see a nervous bride and bridesmaids flitting about in full preparation for a big day.

I love the friendly homely atmosphere here. The girls are so much fun and you always have a good time. We end up having some of the oddest conversations. Nothing worse than having someone you can't talk to and feel comfortable with that close in your personal space, coz let's fact it, not like they can cut your hair from a metre away. You never feel uncomfortable there or like you are being rushed through. They always offer you a drink and if you're real lucky (or if you take your child in....) they might bring out the lolly jar! They have a lot of regulars and seem to remember not only all of us, but also all about our families and lives as well. The therapy of a hairdresser........priceless! Speaking of price - they are cheaper than any I have used before and much better service.

They do the general cut, colour and styling, but not as on-trend as other salons, I'd say. I used their hair range for a while back through high school, and didn't find it as effective. Nevertheless, it still gets relatively busy at this salon, but I've never heard anything remarkable about it recently.

I was delighted to find Bruce who was working in Norwood and is fresh from the London Toni and Guy . I am very happy in giving Bruce the trust of my hair and I am very happy with the results. I specified very roughly the style I wanted as I have very short hair and Bruce did the rest. I was also able to observe the other hair cuts Bruce had done and they suited the men and women whose hair he had cut. I was there for 2 hours having a colour done with the hair cut and the colour is perfect and I let the expert choose the shade. The salon is very comparable to the Sydney standard and I will return.
