These new services are extremely expensive. Additionally although they "pride" themselves through their women's health and OBGYN practices, they are not prepared to provide women with pads or feminine products after these services. Staff turnover is extremely high as they go through a third party temp agency and fire well meaning employees for simple things like showing up to work and using the rest room as soon as they clock in. Remember, this is a doctor's office and the employees are punished for their bodily functions. Staff drama is extremely common. Steer clear.

I was in a dilema and they seemed to shrug their shoulders and had an attitude towards me that I was not cooperating. They held firm and I had to find another doctor who could help me. I could not take the additional medications prescribed to control my diabetes because they made me severely sick, digestively and I didn't trust the doctors there any longer. Then Dr. Vicery moved into another area of care that was not for the patients and clearly for making lots of money. Lousy move. do not go to this practice.

It actually was a blessing in disguise when I found Dr. Ann Smith with Apple Valley Family Medicine! I was happily surprised when I met her, very knowledgeable, personable and she took time to thoroughly answer my questions and concerns, I didn't feel rushed as I always had at my previous Doctor. I have been experiencing joint pain in my knees and ankles for the last few years, Dr. Smith recommended a treatment plan and said I'd feel better in two weeks and I did and do. I am very grateful, previous Dr. just told me it was my age (54), a kind of get used to it answer. Needless to say, 5 stars to Dr. Smith and the Office environment was great as well.

I've been coming here for approximately 13 years, and he's always hit the nail on the head. Plus he has a lovely bedside personality, a sory of Zen calm demeanor, super intelligent, and smiles a lot. Mostly I appreciate his deductive skills, how he works all the clues I provide into a diagnosis, and then a plan. The office is clean and the front staff friendly. Free parking in the lot downstairs. An elevator to his office shuttles those with mobility problems. On the few occasions I've needed a same day appt, it was arranged by Cathy at the front desk, with a simple phone call from me. On weekends the dr is available on call, or his "call partner" is available. My understanding is that he is not taking new patients (but has partners who will). I assume he got too popular. However, I emailed him to ask if he would do me the favor of seeing my parents - who had recently relocated to the area and needed a dr- and he not only squeezed them in to his packed roster, but continued to see my mom weekly for a while (until she needed to graduate to higher and higher level specialists). Dr. Gardner is still all 3 of our's primary care physician though. I feel lucky to have blindly picked him out on the insurance website.

I have been a client for many years dealing with both minor and major health issues. Dr. Weizman is my primary doctor but I have seen some of the others in the practice. He is one of the best doctors in Asheville. He returns every call or email I send within the same day. Most times it is after office hours but he DOES return your calls. Never had any problems making appointments. The Front Desk folks are top notch. If they can't get me in that day, they easily set me up for the next day. The nurses, PA's, lab crew and everyone in the office has always been quite good at their jobs. They answer all of my many questions and concerns and also relay them to my doctor if he needs to follow-up. I'm never rushed through any part of my appointment. Dr. Weizman will review your lab work, his recommendations or records from my other doctors. I never leave feeling confused or concerned about my health. These are the people you want taking care of you when you're not feeling too good. I highly recommend the whole practice if you need them.
