So I called at this point I thought it was past 30 days. I called around to tell them what was happening the guy on the phone told me that he didn't know what could be wrong with it because their mechanic puts oil in the mowers before they are sold. And that it wouldn't need oil for a year maybe two. Now I bought oil for it and it was checked to make sure it had oil before it was ran those two times and checked before it was started that third time each time it had oil didn't need any. That's important in a minute. He told me to bring the mower around on Monday. So I do and they have it two days. When they were called to find out what was going on with it they said it was SHOT SHOT!!!! And the mechanic said it was ran without oil. REALLY!!!!! If that is true it was ran that way by the owner that got rid of it. His solution which he said he thought was fair was to give me a $50 store credit to be used towards another $100 mower so he wanted me to SPEND MORE MONEY in his shop. Well later that night I FOUND the RECEIPT so I thought yes I might not get my money back but at least they will give me a different mower it HADNT BEEN 30 DAYS I still had a couple days before 30 days was up!!!! So today I went around receipt in hand thinking the owner would do the right thing. And he told me that he told me what he would do and that was all he was going to do. That it doesn't matter if it had been 30 days or not. DONT BUY ANYTHING THERE!!! They only have 30 days warranties on Electronics!!! He would of broke even had he done the right thing and gave me a different mower!!! They only gave about $30 for mowers so the mower I had that went up and the mower he should have replaced it with cost him $60 I paid him $100 so he still would of made money maybe not as much as he could of but at least he would of done the right thing. Two years ago when I bought my ac at a different pawn shop they told me that if it stopped working within 30 days bring it back and they would Exchange it!!! I understand a business needs to make a profit, but trying to make double--if not more--off members of their own community feels disgusting and predatory. On top of that, I was made to feel less than the entire time. The older men working there looked at me like I was naïve and easy to take advantage of. It was very clear to me that their attitude was based not only on my age but also on the obvious fact that I'm not straight. The whole interaction came across as discriminatory, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Something else that really bothered me: they took several of my items out of sight to weigh and test them. Thankfully nothing was missing, but any reputable business does those steps in front of the customer, not behind closed doors. That alone was a huge red flag. The guy assisting me bluntly told me there was no negotiating on their offer--clearly just trying to maximize their profit at my expense. There was zero transparency, zero respect, and zero effort to treat me like a valued customer. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. In my opinion, they do not treat people fairly, they do not operate professionally, and they do not deserve the trust of the community they claim to serve.
