All the products are new in boxes. The man behind the counter was not overly friendly but he seemed busy working on an order or some inventory. It seems like most of his business is either locals or people that call in to order a part that they need for their hobby. As for a hobby shop, it is really not hobbies in the traditional sense where they are quite limited in the variety of things they carry. I can't really comment on the prices of the goods because it is more of "if you need it, you'll pay what it costs".

Lots of models for sale and they can help you decide what genre of the hobby best fits your needs. I flipping love that the military items have their own room in the back. They also have a decent stock of photo etch and other add ons for your model. This really is a one stop shop. No need to go anywhere else. The military kits are moderately priced and the selection is good but could be better.

They…read moresell used and new sets, used completed pieces, rare sets, rare figures and have open bins where you can pay a flat fee to fill a bag of spare parts. They also have bins where you can build your own figure just like the regular LEGO store. In the back, is a private room where you can host a LEGO birthday party as well. In addition to selling, they also buy used LEGOs for a great price. My son was able to sell a few sets and get $50 in credit that he used for some new figures. The owners are knowledgeable about their LEGOs. I was looking to complete my LEGO Muppet collection and they were able to pick out the EXACT pieces I needed by feeling the bag. They also said if they got it wrong, they would let me pick another one. They are incredibly kind and patient with the kids and adult collectors. New sets are a little pricier than they would be at Target or somewhere else, maybe by a dollar or two, but worth it to support such a great small business.

That being said, August of last year they sold my son a broke in the box General Grievous, big 200 buck one, he was ECSTATIC to buy it but they didn't disclose it was broken, the arm was glued, it wasn't " working" ( Mass law that you can't sell something you know is broke.. we don't have an As-Is law that permits that) and unfortunately he didn't open the box until we got in. I took pictures instantly and we returned to the store immediately and the manager was " going to contact us".. guys name was Phil ( he and his whole staff have been fired since, I'm guessing they were stealing or doing something shady). Told that we broke it ( um... WHEN would we have had time to?!?) and he proceeded to lie to the credit card company as well. Long story short, we're taking them to small claims court and including treble damages because of the intent to deceive, the amount of my time he wasted over what I'm sure they KNEW was their own scam since the arm was super glued... etc etc... It's good that Phil has been fired and good that we're going to get our money back but it's just garbage that ANYONE would try to pull that stunt on a 12 year old autistic kid. Just complete scumbaggery. Ok so in short: Good selection. Ok prices. Really bad human beings. Also, apparently don't know Mass General Laws... probably should learn those guys.. P.S. I'd settle for a refund and an apology from the owner/manager who shows up at court next week. I'd probably change the review to reflect this as it wasn't the owners fault or current management but they've had a ton of time to reach out on this one and haven't. Doesn't help that they tried to say they have " experts" who claim we broke it... maybe the business is seedy, I don't know, I just know they tried to rob a kid who cleaned up an awful lot of dog poop to save that money up..

A bunch of amateurs run this place and I will not be doing business with them again. Well that was super fun…read more When we arrived no one was on the desk so we began to wander the first floor. If you just want to walk around, and check out the machines that is free. I saw someone who works there and he gave us a quick 'tour'. Pinball machines are set up here by year beginning in the 1930's! There a many from the 70's, a big collection of 80's and then further back it's a mix. The tour took up upstairs. There is a wheelchair lift here, however, you have to step over a barrier at the bottom of the doorway leading to the stairs so not really handicap accessible? Call if you need info on that. Keep that door at the bottom of the staircase open so you can get back! At the top of the steps is a private event room. (sorry no photo, a meeting was going on). Turn right after the event room and follow the hallway to the 'Blue Room' on the left at the end. Here you'll find a small, open space for a party with shelves of board games, a table and comfy couches. The Blue Room includes several racing games (seated style), shooter games, skeeball, basketball throw and other arcade games. There were a couple dozen pinball machines without an outlet to play them stored in this space. Our tour guide tells us for events up to 150 people, these games are moved out and tables moved into that space. The second floor hosts many other businesses so be respectful when in the halls. Our visit lasted about two hours playing all the games. Some of the pinball machines include information on who designed them and other info. The Star Trek machine is signed by some of the actors. Scoobydoo, Addams family, Aerosmith, Rick & Morty, Dolly Parton, on and on. Some games have hepatic feedback - like when the dinosaur eats your ball in the Jurasic Park pinball game the entire machine shakes. I love how the machines are all set to 'free play'. You just hit the start button (usually a round button on the front) and you get your three balls. When that game ends, hit start again and you get another three balls. Also, if you loose a ball quickly, you get an extra ball. Really makes for a fun experience. Admission is ten dollars per person (all ages), cash or credit, and covers playing all the available games for the whole day - come and go as you please. Parking is available next to the building in two lots. No food or drink are available for sale here. When hosting an event here, bring your own catering. Contact them/visit their website for details on hosting events. Public restrooms are on the upper level off the hallway. The museum space is more or less warehouse space. It was cold in there when we visited and we left our coats and hats on (February). When there are a lot of games being played, it gets loud, so be prepared. There are a few step stools for the smaller kids. Check next to or under the machines for those or if you have a collapsable one at home maybe bring it along just in case they are all in use. During our week day visit there were a fair amount of adults in there enjoying pinball and all the other games. Staff are knowledgeable and very easy to chat with. Definitely plan an outting to visit this fun museum diguised as an arcade. Alone, or with the kids. You might become the 'fun uncle' after a day here with the nibblings.
