He has always taken the time to ensure that I am getting the best tattoo he can provide, and is not afraid to tell you what will and won't work so that you can get the most out of your ink. My oldest tattoo from him (6 years ago) still looks fresh, and all of them look vibrant and bold. I get compliments on my tattoos almost daily- he is a true artist and not only that, I always have a great time chatting with him. This is the only shop and artist I will use as long as I remain in San Diego- if you want amazing traditional (American or Latin) art, Tom Veling is the person to do it.
