I attended my medical appointment with Dr. Morris at Lion's Gate Hospital. Upon our meeting, I mentioned that my father had the same issue and surgery performed and that he recovered with no change in his physical condition; his ear intact the same after as prior to his surgery. Dr. Morris' only response was a small chuckle and the comment that "You will be a little more aerodynamic when you leave than when you arrived". At no point in time did Dr. Morris consult what the procedure would entail nor indicate he was going to cut a large portion of my ear off, leaving the cartilage protruding out the back side of my ear without flesh nor skin to cover it. Upon my departure from the hospital, Dr. Morris advised me to leave the bandage on for 24 hours after which I could remove it. Dr. Morris provided no further guidance nor medicinal prescription or advice for taking care of the wound post -operation. My situation has only been made significantly worse than when I first visited Dr. Morris. To date the wound remains very sensitive and in constant stinging discomfort due to the exposed cartilage which has no flesh nor skin to cover and protect it. As a Plastic Surgeon, I would have expected the Dr. to want to leave a person in as good or better of condition physically and mentally post operation as prior.

Came here with my girlfriend to see Dr Shehia Ebrahim, who has been her family doctor for over 15…read moreyears. She has now shifted her focus more on medical aesthetics telling me it was "far more lucrative then giving Pap smears" I wanted some facial filler. There was a coupon for 100$ off when you spent 450$ ( min )on Juvederm. I have always wanted to try Juvederm as I have had Radiesse In the past and I saw no results. The office is in North Van, in a retail complex. It doesn't look like Dr office. It does look somewhat spa like, complete with Zen like tunes for atmosphere. There was tea available, as well as some chocolate - we sampled both. My GF went first . She was getting some Botox. When it was my turn, the assistant took me to the back where I was photographed for my "before" pics. When I went to the room, I waited a while, the Dr came in and took a look and I told her what I was wanting to do. She ended up asking me if I was ok with her using a needle beforehand that would break the fibers up. This would help with the treatment she explained. Always eager for adventure, I agreed. I was given some topical pain killer - however when that needle came to break those pesky fibres/chains I really could of used way way more ! This was nothing like Botox ( I actually like the feeling of it being injected ) This was more like dig deep and pop something after a struggle. You could actually hear the tissues break. It was very painful. I'd say a 7.5/10. Yes, this was with the pain killer. This went on awhile and both sides were done, I felt it slightly more uncomfortable then my eyebrow tattooing which wasn't pleasant either. Then she had suggested I do 2 syringes, but at 700$ each - I opted for a single serving , as I was thinking it was going to be around 500$ as per the promo Minus the 100$ discount. I would of been fine if that was the case, but 1400$ plus tax was not what I budgeted for. FYI - syringe contains only 1ml of filler - The application of the filler was a walk in the park, compared to the first part. It was done quickly, but she seemed to really take her time to look and see what went where, she even did a bit on an old pierced eyebrow scar. When it was done, she told me about other things she could do for me, but it felt like a bit of upselling - but not too high pressure. She told me how happy she was to of switched for her general practice to cosmetic/aesthetic . I could tell ! I was then given ice packs to use. There was not an after picture taken, but we were invited to come to an event the following night . It was pushed on us ( "so we will put you down for tomorrow and please, feel free to bring your friends..." ) This just made me feel very uncomfortable, and politely declined. We went to the front to go pay. The receptionist acted quite newish. I asked for an aftercare sheet. But it took quite some time to locate one. The totals for both of us were way more then we expected, and we also did not get our 100$ off discount as per the promo / the reason we went. I looked after on my receipt and I wasn't even given the filler I went in for! I went in for the Juvederm and got some European filler that I had never even heard of ( Fortelis )!! This really pissed me off as I specifically booked for the Juvederm promo. Long story short - my GF did get the 100$ credited back for us each, but she had to call the office at a later time in order for them to look into it. Now as for my results- my face was literally black and blue for nearly a week . It was horrific. ( I took photos, but they are so scary I don't even think I should post them ) Then I couldn't even see any changes at all In my face, still can't actually. For all the pain, the bruising, the money spent, and the high pressure sales tactics, to not get any desired affect really does not make me happy, nor would I ever return or recommend.

That's the last I saw of him until I was on the table). After the consultation, the assistant brought me into her office and gave me a date. She said I should book it right away and that the cost would be $14000 - half of which had to be paid right then and the remainder at 3 weeks before surgery. I said I would think it over. When I called back the next day, I was quite smugly told that I could not have that date, as I had not booked it right away and someone else did. I had a face lift, eye lift and chin liposuction in Nov., 2013. For some reason, Dr Carr did not follow the line of my right eye, so now I have a scar that is parallel to my eye brow, which is easily seen. The face lift was a complete waste of money. Even now, I have a lot of numbness on both sides of my face and still have lots of signs of aging. As a matter of fact, I think I look older after the surgery. The chin liposuction was good; really took away the double chin. However, that area of chin is completely numb, even after doing the stroke exercises ad nauseam! Also note that, after the surgery, there is a lot of work involved for the recipient. I had to stroke my face an endless number of times a day, wrap my head in stretch bandages for a while, use special face cleansers (which they charge you $60 for), had to partially sit up to sleep, etc. It is no walk in the park! I had a couple of regular appointments after that with a nurse. Had one follow-up with Dr. Carr. After that, I became quite ill and was hospitalized for 15 days. My husband called them to cancel an appointment I couldn't keep. That was the last I heard of them! They never called me back for more follow up! I think that there is no need to go to this doctor for any work. He is way too expensive and not in any way superior to other cosmetic surgery work I have seen in others. My friend had upper and lower eyelid surgery done by a doctor on Broadway (don't remember his name but can get it) and she looks great! Her doctor did not cut outside of the shape of her eye, so she has no scar coming straight out over her eye. I was not satisfied with the quality of the work or of the way I was treated. In my opinion, you are pressured to sign up. Also, please remember, once you pay your money, they will not refund it if you do not want to go ahead with the surgery. About the only way you will get your money back is if you have a letter from god or a letter from a specialist saying the surgery would be too dangerous for your health.

The procedure included an upper blepharoplasty, platysmaplasty of my neck, and SMAS facelift. In addition, I underwent an CO2 laser treatment. Prior to these procedures. I had a meeting with another plastic surgeon in Del mar, California. His estimate was startling and well beyond what I could afford. I then went to see Dr. Lichtenberger and he explained to me that I didn't need to undergo unnecessary procedures to get what I was looking for. Instead, he felt that I could attain a natural look and that's exactly what he did for me at a reasonable cost. The office staff at Life Aesthetic Center, including Erin, Debbie and Dana, made me feel so much at home and so comfortable while undergoing the initial consultation, the preoperative appointment and finally the procedure and follow-up appointments, putting me at ease with lots of great information. Dr. Lichtenberger is one of the most sincere, patient and truly caring people I have ever met. He is an outstanding listener, and I never felt like I was asking a stupid question. Despite my nervousness prior to the procedures, he said that was normal and on the day of my procedures, he put me at ease the entire time. His surgical staff was also top-notch and I am grateful to them as well. We here in Bellingham are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Lichtenberger in our community. I am so happy with my results as I heal more and more every day and can't wait to see my end results in the next few months!

Post op, I noticed a gouge, about a 1 cm indentation, at the very top of my nose, so I asked him about it, and he was very dismissive. He was talking with his medical student, like they had no idea what I was talking about. It took me about 5 years before I could put any type of weight over the bridge of my nose, so I had to buy new glasses. Fortunately, I found a pair with a very light Titanium frame. I would not recommend Dr. Younger. He has a very poor bedside manner, and his skill as a surgeon is questionable.
