On my way in I called the store to ask which exit to take and how to get there. Tanner, the guy on the phone took the time to figure it out and tell me exactly how to get there. I was only a few miles away. Took the exit and followed his instructions and drove right there. Not sure if you have ever been to a Locke supply but they are usually large bldgs broken up into 3 sections. Electrical, plumbing and HVAC so you have to go to the right counter. I never do on the first shot. Got there and talked to Tanner. They had the motor boxed up and ready to go. All under warranty so no paperwork on my part. 2 hrs later back at home and an hour later the AC was fixed. Very professional and everything was handled within their company. Check them out as they are a southern Midwest company. 4 stars because they only had one motor in the whole company for a system they sell.

The pick up process was hassle free and painless. I called the center to schedule a pick up. The woman on the phone was very friendly and to the point. I had to schedule the pick up for about a week after the day I called because they were very busy (keep that in mind). The men that came to pick up my furniture were very friendly and professional. They called about 30 minutes before they came to verify my location. Upon arrival, they were quick to load up their truck and were back on the road in 10 minutes. My friend recommended this donation center since she also donated some furniture to them and used their pick up process. She also had a hassle free experience and we highly appreciate that they are willing to come pick up. We would not have a way to give them the furniture otherwise.

You pay the rest that way you're not on a lot of money, but that's not how it work. You have to pay for the whole thing and if you don't go back and get it the next that's what I believe the rules need to change on at least give a person 72 hours at least because it's like things happen life changes so at least give a person 72 hours. You know be thankful that you guys are for free and able to resell it to us so if you're getting it for free and then you sell it to me and somehow happen I can't get it then I my money and then the next person try to get it and then with on their money so it's a free item that you haven't been paid for two times and still able to make money from the third person off of it. That's what I dislike about that that donation center, and I feel like changes needs to be made me personally if I can it I'm be the one who get that changed. I'm gonna push and push and push and can get it I'm gonna go and speak to the everyone about this today because I think it's a little ridiculous and that's just my opinion other than that it could actually be a pretty good

For tools and other supplies, yeah, if you just need it to get you through one job, or over the weekend, then they're OK and cheap. But I call them "Snap Off" tools, because that's exactly what happens. And because of this, I've had to return a few things in the past. I loathe their return policy and the condescending attitudes of their employees and management when I have. For one thing, nobody, and I mean nobody else asks for the amount of data mining info for a return that this place does. Their customer database is a hackers wet dream. You have a item in original packaging, and a receipt, and that's all you need to have in order to determine if you're going to accept a return or not. You have no legitimate business with my name, address, and friggin phone number just for a return if I have a receipt. It's not like your people are going to call me or pay me a visit later about that return I made and ask me to take it back. Each and every time, the cashier and manager on duty argues with me and says they "must" have that info for their system. And each and every time I refuse and tell them to call their district manager or general manager, because it very well can be done. And each time they get told over the phone that they can do a return without all that info. But their attitudes about it are most unprofessional just because I don't want to share a load of personal data with them. read more

They always ask for your phone number. People should know that way of doing business is specifically to harvest phone numbers f=to sell to telemarketers. That Friday, received a voicemail after 6pm from a driver stating he was going to deliver monday, by the time I called back, he said it was not loaded on his truck and could not deliver it. Driver said they could deliver the following week, then he called and said he broke down so another driver would call about delivery the next week. The next call came from Terri (caller ID said Morgan) asking me if I had the concrete blocks in place. Found an email from both Derkson and the financier asking for payment on the first (just a matter of days) and a signature that appears to be the same as the form signed in office purchase but includes the following: The condition of the building has been inspected. Lessor has the right to enter your property at any time to inspect the building. And includes a provision if they should take the building and personal property has not been removed from the building, it will not be returned. I then received a call asking me to get cement blocks for set up. According to advertisement, set-up is included. I made it clear I would not be signing any further paperwork until the building arrives and if promised services aren't rendered, then they could keep the building. Carl then called asking my wife to tell me we had to sign the paperwork BEFORE the building is delivered. furthermore, it was explained the size is calculated from outer wall to outer wall, yet the form states the size is from eave to eave. Yeah, sure, I'll get right on that signature without inspection with a due date for first payment before the building even arrives and a late payment fee of $300. You'd be better off just saving the cash you'd pay each month and buying a building outright from somewhere else. Needless to say, I am cancelling the order and expect full refund of deposit. Selection of fishing tackle was a little thin. There were 12 people in line behind me as well as three in front of me with one cashier. I offered to let six of the people behind me go in front of me because they just had one or two items. Finally, I got to the cashier. As the big, tall manager was walking away, the cashier asked him if he was gonna help, and he just scoffed and walked off and went to the back. Everyone of the employees in the store acted like they were all mad and had terrible attitude. Our family is in the people business in retail sales with 650 employees. We understand how it is with employees with an attitude. They don't work for us if they display this attitude. The customer is King. I will continue to go back to Academy and hopefully the experience will be better. As a follow up. The manager called me the next day. I was impressed that he did so. He invited me to come visit the store again.
