All of their barbers do exceptionally quality, I never leave unhappy whoever I end up using because I have a busy schedule, so I just go with whoever is available at the time. The overall vibe is great and they have a fridge full of drinks that you can help yourself too. I got a haircut with beard trim and straight razor shave. Ended up being around $100 with tip. Always a great experience, probably the best barber shop in OC read more

I walk into Harbor Barber telling myself it's just a haircut, and somehow I walk out feeling like I've been softly rearranged on a molecular level. The air is thick with confidence and clippers hum like they know secrets. The chair reclines just enough to make you surrender. The cape goes on and suddenly I'm cooperative in ways I didn't plan on being. The fades are obscene. The lineups flirt with my face. Every mirror check feels like prolonged eye contact with myself, post glow-up, slightly feral. The barbers move with intention, steady hands, zero rush. This is grooming as seduction. This is foreplay but make it coastal. Now. Let's address the whisper network. Yes, people talk about the back room. Yes, people joke about "anal bleaching." No, I will not elaborate. All I'll say is I'm a repeat customer, I leave feeling suspiciously brightened, and my confidence walks out five minutes before I do. Call it premium self-care. Call it an aggressive aesthetic reset. Call it a metaphor if Yelp legal is watching. Whatever it is, it works. I leave Harbor Barber standing taller, sitting prettier, and making choices that suggest I just remembered I'm hot. Five stars. I'll be back. My barber knows why. read more

I pai 80 dollars for the haircut and a shave. The hairdresser didn't even take off. that much hair. All you did was spend so much time. styling the hair. Now I have to get another haircut and it hasn't even been a week. He didn't even cut it the way I asked him to cut it. He did his own cut, which I did not ask him to do.. beware of asking for shave because it costs $50 read more

This is by far the best Barber Shop. Dez is my barber, and without fail, every single time he is the best. The team here at Harbor Barber are all great craftsmen. The shop itself is epic. A an awesome place to get a cut & beard trim. Thank you Dez! read more

Such a good barbershop, it is our go-to spot for the boys' hair. Our barber is Armando and he knows how to cut the boys' hair to their style! It's also a great opportunity to play games, look at the wild decor and get a free soda and lollipop! read more

I've been going here for year with Bob. Always a great experience and funny vibes. I recommend it to people all the time.

A good ol' fashioned barber shop. Great vibes with awesome views one block away from the beach! My man Dakoda does an excellent and thorough job! He's been cutting my hair for about 8 years now and i have never once been disappointed. He has a great attitude, will ask you how things are going through the process and is a great conversationalist. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a professional and skilled barber who is a great person as well. read more

Cool, barbershop vibe in a strip mall near the beach. Needed a beard trim for this thing I'm letting grow out on my face. Walked in on a Thursday afternoon and was immediately greeted by a nice barber. Was offered a beverage (including beer) from their fridge before getting started. Got lucky and didn't have to wait. Got Sam and he cleaned my beard up very nicely. He even touched up my neckline with a warm shaving cream/straight razor. Would repeat for the beard and a haircut. $25 bucks and was worth it. read more

Dakoda is my go-to barber whenever I get a haircut. Every time that I get a haircut from him, he not only cuts my hair in a quality manner, but also remembers the small nuances of the specific haircut that I get. I appreciate his attention to detail and also the conversation we have while getting the haircut. Additionally, Harbor Barber is great. The fridge stocked with sodas and sparkling waters definitely is nice while waiting for the haircut and the ambiance is great. The music isn't too loud or distracting and all of the barbers seem very nice. If anyone is looking for a place to get a haircut, I definitely encourage trying Dakoda out at Harbor Barber. read more

For a little over two years I have been getting my hair cut by Dakoda at Harbor Barber. I plan to continue going to Harbor Barber for Dakoda because he gives me the best haircuts I've ever had, great conversations, and a positive attitude. Dakoda's haircuts are superb because I have wavy hair that cowlicks in weird places. Every barber before Dakoda never cut my hair right so I could slick back my hair without it looking ridiculous. On the second cut, Dakoda had be locked in and has not let me down since. The atmosphere of the barber shop is also a highlight. The boys will hook you up with a beer or soda of your choice, no additional charge. Shop chairs are in the nap tier of comfort. There is also a clean waiting area if you arrive early. Another highlight of the shop is how they value their customer's time. In 30 minutes or less Dakoda can get me looking fresh and I never feel rushed. I drive to Harbor Barber from Long Beach but don't mind it because I know I am getting a great haircut and that the Harbor Barber crew won't waste my time. I have also never had Dakoda cancel on me; the only time my cut is later than scheduled is because the previous customer came late. Even still, I never wait more than five minutes. All that said, if you want a well priced haircut with a great atmosphere, see Dakoda at Harbor Barber. read more

Emergency Haircut - SAVED by the Harbor Barber! I was in full-blown hair crisis dilemma .... My usual person was out of town for TWO MONTHS (yes, I cried a little), and I'm picky -- like, "if it's not perfect, I'm wearing a hat for 8 weeks" picky ... SOOOO ride it out or take the risk. Either way, I could be wearing a hat for awhile. Enter: Dakota Quinn! I gave him the basics -- just a rough idea of what I wanted. Even showed him a pic of Peter Dinklage from the Mocking Bird Movie for the beard -- and this guy absolutely knocked it out of the park. Clean cut, perfect beard trim, and somehow he made it all look effortless. It was like watching a sculptor work, only with clippers instead of a chisel. Not only did he rescue me from looking like a before picture in a shampoo ad, but he actually made me consider switching barbers permanently (still on the fence ... but two months is a long time). If you're looking for someone who gets it and delivers the goods with chill vibes and pro-level skills, hit up this shop and ask for Dakota Quinn. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Have been a longtime faithful patron of Harbor Barber and can't see myself ever making a change. Great haircuts/beard trims, great vibes, and a stocked fridge. If I could tag on a 6th star, I would. If you need some work on your hair and you live anywhere south of LA, make an appointment and head on in here. The guys will get you right. Come see Sam if he's available! read more

This was my first time getting a haircut with Dez, and he nailed it with precisely the style I had in mind. That's no small feat, especially since I usually struggle to explain what I want without a photo. What sets Dez apart is his meticulous attention to detail, mastery with scissors, and engaging conversation. Instead of a rushed, 15-minute cut, he took a thoughtful 30 minutes to ensure everything was just right. read more

Shout out to Devin Gomez for a great medium length cut. I could tell Devin spent his time making sure every hair on my head looked exactly like how it should be. He put as much care into cutting my hair as if it was his own head. Very much appreciated God Bless read more

Before visiting Harbor Barber, I had struggled for many years to find a consistent barber that I could trust. However, that all changed when I began seeing Dakoda. He consistently cuts my hair with a medium fade on sides and leaves length on top exactly how I request. He knows exactly what I would like in a haircut and executes on it every time with precision and high quality. When I decided I wanted to try and grow a beard, Dakoda started trimming it and cleans it up and shapes it very well each time I see him. Additionally, I appreciate that his cuts last a long time on me. By far the best barber I've had! Awesome guy too! read more

When I first walked through the doors at Harbor Barber, I was instantly met by that old school barbershop vibe and was immediately hopeful. Dakoda took good care of me with a quality haircut, good conversation, and a neck shave and warm towel to round it all out. Would 100% recommend! read more

Owner of the place is very rude, don't expect to be treated with respect if you book with these people especially the guy who's wearing glasses and a hat all the time (owner) and don't even think about being late for even a minute , doesn't matter if you've been coming there for a year, they will still be rude to you for being late a minute. All employees in store yell and scream at random people in the parking lot that park there and go to other stores that are sharing the same lot. Grown men acting like kids... read more

I was able to get an appointment on Thursday at noon. They are busy but I was able to call 90-minutes beforehand and got hooked up with Greg, the owner. They recently changed locations in this mall doubling their space. They now have about 10 chairs and the place is clean and shiny with some old vintage chairs and decor. Greg is a great guy and offered great conversation with a killer haircut. All clients and staff wore masks and they did a sincere job of keeping the place sanitized. Some of the barbers are taking cash only but Greg takes plastic. The barbers are independent contractors but they all follow the same price list. Beer and other beverages are free and waiting for you in the fridge. The place is pretty chill and I enjoyed my first haircut in this spot. read more

A friend of mine recommended this place to me about 5 years ago when I grew my beard out for the first time and I wanted a quality place to trim it and make it look good. It is a bit of a drive for me, but definitely worth it. It is a bit on the pricey side, but again, definitely worth it. Got to pay for quality. I had beard trims over the 5 years from Greg and mostly Mike. I recently came to get my hair cut for the first time by Greg. Both guys take their time and make sure you are happy with the final product. There are good conversations taking place and they have free beverages (even beers). I would highly recommend this place to people who live or work in the area, or for people like me who are willing to make the drive...you won't be sorry. read more
