We have a couple of places we like, but they are either take out only or don't have a vibe inside that makes dining in seem like a good option. Wow am I glad we tried Indian Flavors! Not only was the service fantastic and dining experience wonderful, but the food! Wow! I had only had Korma at these other places, thinking I loved it. Well I did love those places, but I don't think I will be able to go back. The amount of love put into the dish really showed me how little I knew about how good it could be. It really was something special. Paired with their garlic naan (one of many Indian bread options I plan to try) it was seriously spectacular. This alone earns a 5 out of 5. They also brought out this dessert cheese dish for us that was so packed with flavor we both had to do a double take. They apparently have a lunch buffet with a super reasonable price that I will surely be trying. I have gone basically my whole life eating the staple butter chicken, but this restaurant helped me fortify how much I love Korma while inspiring me to expand my taste and try new Indian dishes. I hope Lodi, Galt, and the surrounding cities can help support this restaurant. What I tried was special. The Mexican restaurant that used to be here was a favorite of many locals but didn't make it. Please try this place if you love Indian food and help make sure we keep restaurants like this in our town.

We were traveling south from Sacramento and decided to stop…read more The garlic naan was the star of the show for us! It was some of the best I've ever had. We started with samosa chaat. The samosa was crispy and the chick pea curry was fantastic!! Unfortunately the tamarind sauce was ketchup. I was disappointed, but the other amazing components almost made up for it. We ordered chicken makhni and saag paneer for our entrees. Neither was what we have come to expect for these dishes, but both were tasty, so maybe it's just a regional flavor? The chicken was a little sweet and the paneer dish much less creamy than I'm used to. Tasty, but different! The young lady who waited on us was a delight! Attentive and helpful. One area for improvement is maybe clearing the empty dishes off of the table as we finish. She's young and learning, so I can't fault her much. The dining room is clean and orderly - cloth napkins on the tables. The chilled water bottle for each table earns major points in my book! I wish them much success!

Not only did he ensure my dinner was perfection, he also gave me direction on ordering. And I'm glad I took his advice. Thank you Jot! The food was spectacular. I started with Aloo Tikki Chaat. I've never had this anywhere. The flavors are layered and delicious and the textures range from a mid-soft cooked garbanzo bean to crunchy bits of red onion. Complexity that works in harmony. It was delicious! For my entree, I ordered Butter Chicken with Naan Bread. Naan may seem simple, but this one was just a 10 out of 10. Yes, it was better than others I typically have. And the Butter Chicken was amazing. Creamy, lightly spicy, and ultra savory. I relished each and every bite. I could go on and on, but I'll stop by saying it was the best Indian Cuisine I think I've ever had. The restaurant itself is simple, but more importantly, CLEAN. Comfortable seating as I sat in a booth. It was welcoming even though I was dressed super casual. I like it. And yes, given the chance, I'll be back! Thanks again Jot!

The ambiance was…read moreeffortlessly inviting aesthetically pleasing, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with warm tones and charming umbrella accents that gave the space character and vibrancy. Near the entrance sat a beautifully arranged bar selection, while the spacious seating areas easily accommodated larger gatherings of ten to twelve guests without feeling crowded. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and lively elegance. Equally memorable was the hospitality. The service throughout the evening was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely warm. Our server, Khushi, delivered exceptional customer service with kindness and confidence, guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and patience that elevated the entire dining experience. The butter chicken was undoubtedly the star of the meal -- rich, savory, and deeply aromatic. Every bite carried layers of warm spices that blended beautifully into the velvety, creamy sauce. The dish had a comforting depth of flavor without overwhelming the palate. Paired alongside it was the garlic naan, served warm with the perfect touch of crispness around the edges. Its buttery garlic aroma complemented the butter chicken flawlessly, making each bite even more indulgent. The samosas were another standout appetizer. Golden and crisp on the outside with a satisfying crunch, they opened to reveal a soft, fluffy potato filling seasoned beautifully with traditional spices. When paired with the accompanying sauces, the flavors became even more vibrant and addictive. To finish, the jalebi provided the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Delicately crisp yet syrupy and rich, it offered a delightful contrast after such a flavorful and spice-forward dining experience. Its sweetness lingered pleasantly, leaving the evening on a memorable note. Overall, this restaurant delivers not only flavorful dishes but also an atmosphere and level of hospitality that make the experience feel complete from beginning to end.

It's not often that I visit autehtic Indian cuisine…read more I grew up Texas and the Bay area most of my life and honestly only visited buffet type establishments in the past. Recently moving to Elk Grove, I was was surprised to see so many different restaurants and multiple food choices. That said, our group last night decided to try Indian food. Wow! And I mean a big smiled tummy rumbling WOW!!! Indian oven is the beast Indian food I have ever tasted! As you know, in my previous reviews, I have also taken into consideration, the ambiance, the restaurant cleanliness (Including the restrooms) and also the staffs demeanor when submitting reviews. I must admit, I am not surprised that this restaurant easily deserves five stars - on all points! If it wasn't for our server "Rinku", our group would never have realized the meticulous efforts made by ownership and staff in presenting so many varied and wonderful tasting dishes we were not previously aware of. In that, I mean, that when you go to a new restaurant, you look at the menu and you take somewhat of a chance in experiencing dishes that sound good, but having no previous experience/s there, may not receive the best tasting meal on the menu. Rinku not only explained the dishes and ingredients, he also gave a little bit of history and process involved into preparing such wonderful tasting meals - throughout. He took the time to answer our questions with as much detail, history, that was necessary for us to understand how much goes into making exceptional Indian cuisine. He highlighted the nuances involved in the preperation processes, the cooking methods, and the reasoning behind obtaining/ producing such differing textures, depths, and tones of flavors. And pointedly, I noticed that everything was very fresh, possibly and most likely made with heartfelt love for India Ovens' patrons. Once again if it wasn't for Rinkus' recommendations, we would not have known what to choose, pertaining to our personal likes, and to be honest, spiciness and heat tolerances of each individual in our group. From this point forward, I will not have any predetermined expectations of what food quality and/or flavors should/could taste like. Amongst our group, we ordered approximately eight different menu items, each with very specific and distinct flavors, and as mentioned before, wonderful textures. I (Rarely and highly) recommend family, friends, colleagues, and the general public to come here, not once, twice, but often, to experience the full menu - all in its time. I recommend that you come and experience wonderful savory Indian cuisine like no other. Thank you Rinku!
