During the pandemic, I lost the habit of stopping by the branch, and instead started having my books on hold delivered by mail. But recently I decided to stop by the library again to use it as a bit of a co-working facility. It is just such a great place. The Gresham branch has plenty of parking. It is full of resources available to everyone. The library itself is full of light, and has just enough background activity to be interesting, while still being quiet enough to get some work done.

The kids area was amazing with books at his level, interactive play structures with a beautiful and fun nature theme. The reading nook was adorable and there were even a few toys out. We visited in the evening so it wasn't crowded but a mom and her son came to the area and told me on Tuesday's they had story time! We will be coming back for that next! The staff were very helpful and sweet as well. So grateful this is so close to us and we will be back so many times!

Neighborhood library as the library is across from some apartments and right by the library is a small park called Scotts Park,where you can walk your dogs and relax. One level library with high ceilings. You come in to the foyer, there are set of comfy chairs where you can sit and relax. Enjoy the area and be at peace with yourself. There is a seed library with everything from flowers, herbs, ornamental, fruits and misc drawers. You just pick the seed that you will want to bring back home. It's a very open library where everything is labelled. Many meeting rooms are available to reserve. There is a teen room where they can sit and relax and study. There are many tables with lamps where you can bring your computer and do work. If you go through another door there is a "Children's Room." There are many children books there and tables to sit and read. Even am area where they can play quietly. This neighborhood library is fun to walk in and just check it out while you are in the area. Catch the bus and walk around downtown Milwaukie and see the shops around.

The second time I went there there was no room and nobody was in the community room. I was studying for a huge exam and really needed it to be quiet. I was told I could use the community room. I went there and closed the sliding doors because it made it much quieter. All someone had to do was open it to come in and use it. However, someone who worked there just opened the doors without saying a word to me. I was pretty upset. I asked if he could please keep the doors open but I was told no . I really really needed that time. So I packed up my stuff and left. Libraries aren't really very quiet. They used to be but not anymore. To really study you need a room and even then people talk very loudly right near the door. It is frustrating. The library is beautiful and there librarians overall were very kind and nice. My favorite thing would have to be that they allow members to rent up to 80 items at any given time; movies, books, etc all for 2wks-1month!! ps. becoming a member is super easy. Bring a piece of mail to verify your address and you can rent the max right away otherwise you can use your trial membership card to rent 5 items until you can bring your proof.

They have a room there for "books for sale" for only .50c each, and luckily we got plenty of great books there for really cheap. I love the selections of their dvds and their books. I have no complaints at all! Oh yeah, I do. . . For some borrowers, please park at the parking spot, not in the middle of the driveway because it is very inconvenience. Overall, I love this library.

It's usually well lit, quiet, and organized in a way that makes sense to me. I've spent hours in here reading or searching for books and movies. The staff has always been very helpful and I especially like the self-serve computer (though the touch screen could use a bit of work). Depending on the library closest to my new home, I may continue to have books sent here as I like it so well and it's convenient.

I was really struggling to feed my newborn and after searching around I came across Birthingway and saw how affordable they were. I am not in a position where I can spend $100 in consultations- Birthingway will not turn anybody away but a $20 donation is suggested. That is incredible! My appointment was with Emily, the LC, and one student (Adrienne?) and both were fabulous and very knowledgable. They assessed my baby before, during, and after feeding and gave me great suggestions for latching problems and breast care. I am so grateful for their help! As a bonus, my appointment was on a Saturday, so very convenient! Thank you, Birthingway!!

This building services all ages, race, and even uninsured. The building has multiple levels, with stair access & two elevators. Theres a big parking lot (I have seen it completely filled before), some street parking, and located near a max stop and multiple bus lines in downtown Gresham - this place can be very busy with people activity. I have been coming here for years to see my wonderful Dr.- very fortune to have found her. On the main floor, there is a seating area with a water fountain, and security at the main entrance by elevators. The floor is big and some areas include a help / self service area for seniors and disability. There is a computer area and small library; A little thrift area type store that sells super cheap clothing and other items- I'm sure you could maybe even donate used items; A snack area where you can purchase to help the seniors there; Even ballot drop off and voting area. I think a work-help place; I am sure there are other services that they offer here, just haven't looked too in-depth. The next multiple floors provide the following Services: Adult healthcare, Children's care, Women's health, Pregnancy testing, Prenatal care, Mental health, Counseling, and other health care needs. I have only visited the third floor as that's where the main health care area is. You will find a big waiting room with a check in desk- the gals are friendly and nice. There is also an area to talk to someone that will help go over your insurance and work with you on payments. They have staff that speak Spanish, and I'm sure other languages because this building services multiples ethnic groups in a very large diverse community. There is the pharmacy on this floor too. All the rooms are in the back, secured, so no one can just walk back there. For what this building is, it's very nice and clean, staff is friendly, and the drs really do care for us!

In June of 2024 my daughter and son-in-laws high-end bikes were stolen from the back of their RV in…read moreGladstone ( $2400 and $5400+ respectively ). They contacted GPD and reported the theft. On or about 10-25-24 a Milwaukie Sgt. noticed a bike out of place in their impound. He ran the serial numbers and found it to be the $5,400+ bike that was stolen. YAY! I am a retired police chief and knew all sorts of officers. My salutations to Sgt. Inman. He is a reflection of nothing but the highest standards of good police work in Milwaukie and its department. Whether they will leverage this find to root out the other , very expensive, bike remains to be seen but the person that got arrested with the bike may be sweating a bit right now. But for some reason your patrol officers find it a delight to troll me when I'm driving my wife to the Max station and back. I don't know what it is about that car - again nothing special - that you feel necessary to "do that thing" where you hold way back and run my plates only to find there's nothing in your system. Then you speed up flip on the lights pass me in a narrow two lane street (Johnson Creek between SE 45th Pl and SE 32 Ave). What is that all about? It's happened more than once, or twice, or now five times. I'm still a fan and I won't change my review stars, but come on, Milwaukie Police Department, don't you have anything else better to do than seriously pull this crap on a local citizen? Seriously.

There are still libraries in this world but I myself love to read when I have the time. This store was clean and organize. Everything was by the type of book and in sections. They even sell toys here. You need to be a member in order to get discounts and points. There's even tables for the kids to sit on and read a book. It's been awhile since we have been to a book store. This was a treat to just look. Again, we didn't want to pack anymore stuff that we had coming to Portland Oregon. Located inside the mall.
