They damaged all my Solid core doors just installing the door hardware. They kept messing up the base trim around the house. They had to keep coming out to "fix" their issues, but eventually my GC called out his Handy Man to tear out sections and replace it. Such simple things that I could have done myself better, and now I'm stuck living with this on a brand new build out. Avoid them if at all possible, I would never call them for even something simple. They came out to install some barn door guides and even split the trim and just left, again my GC had another guy come out and clean up their mess. On top of that, my basement smelled like an ashtray for a few hours after one of their guys left. It was impressive just how bad of a job their guys did, they clearly knew they were doing crap work and just left, I guess hoping no one would notice.

Most quoted us $5,000+ to do it all. We got our vanity custom made with KC Wood and their recommended plumber all for under $3,000 (my budget). They were very helpful every step of the way. They had a great selection of tops, door and drawer styles, everything. I would recommend them to anyone.

They do wonderful drywall, concrete, electric, and plumbing work for a fair price, they keep on schedule, and they don't make excuses. He and his crews pulled all the necessary permits and worked very hard to ensure that we were happy with their work. It's a little difficult to find a good remodeling contractor north of the river but we found an excellent one when we hired Artisan Construction. They did very professional work for us and responded to all of our questions, as well as providing valuable guidance toward achieving our remodeling goals.

One of the windows had a wall of shingles all around it…read more The window guys took the shimgles off and apparently threw them away (bummer) and we have been anxious to get the shingles back on the house as the white house wrap stood out like a sore thumb! We called Artisan Construction as they now have a home repair specialist. Artisan sent out a man who not only completed the project perfectly (after a few trips to the local hardware store), but was very detailed and cared about what the end result looked like. He wanted to paint the trim he had replaced, but my husband did not know where to find the paint swatch for the new paint. (The window guys- At Windura) not only took some paint off the house while replacing windows, but they never offered to correct it afterwards! ) I will call Artisan for our next house repair project as I know they will take care of whatever we have for them with the same expertise as they did replacing our shingles.

We found out about GNC Carpenters on Facebook randomly due to their relationship with Children's…read moreMercy Hospital. Before using GNC Carpenters, we had tried two other businesses that were recommended to us. One business was privately owned and the other was All Dimensions Flooring. Both businesses would act like they were eager to do the work but then would never call me back. Therefore, I decided to give this business that I had never heard of a try. The work GNC did was build a sub-floor in our laundry room and install new flooring. I cannot say enough about their responsiveness and the quality of work. Due to my prior experience with the other businesses, I was a little nervous about using someone who I knew very little about and had not been recommended to us by anyone. However, Meghan, one of the owners was always just a text or email away. I even found out the owners had just had a newborn only a week or two earlier and yet they were still incredibly responsive. The estimate they gave me before doing the work was very reasonable and the ultimate invoice was substantially under the estimate (I'm sure this doesn't happen all that often but what a nice surprise!). Additionally, it was less than two weeks from the time I initially called to request the estimate to the time the work was completed.

They damaged the plaster walls, had major gouges and streaks in the floors as well as uneven staining and blames it all on being an old house. Even though he drug our refrigerator across the floor to a porch which caused the scratches and streaks. He didnt even attempt to finish the job. After he knew how upset we were he packed up his stuff and left the key on the floor. Now they won't return our calls. We gave them $2800 the first week of work when the estimate total was $3200. Fully expecting beautiful, finished floors. Instead we've had to call another company to come and redo the floors entirely as they were scratched and done so badly. We paid almost $3000 for a painted master, shelves in a small linen closet, and ruined floors. Needless to say, we want our money back!!!!!!
